Fridge Brilliance

  • In 10, you might have noticed that Ninja's eyes are now blue instead of brown. If you don't bother check it because this Ninja's change is too sudden, then 11 reverts his design back to the one we're familiar with, but still with blue eyes. So why is this change worth attention? Aya, his Kohai, also has blue eyes. This change is apparently made to further emphasize their relationship, even though it's currently uncertain if Aya will ever return again.
  • Despite saying that it puts opponents to sleep, the Hibernation card freezes the opponents in 4 and Online (and even then Online's Hibernation card icon is a bottle of sleeping drug) instead of making them fall asleep like in all other games. Well, it technically still is hibernation, as the characters are turned into Human Popsicle, also known as hibernation or cold sleep.
  • Retcon might be in effect for this one, but when you think about how Yao has stated that October is based on his own grandfather, then his design in 4 and 5 as an alien makes much more sense: he isn't just a random alien, he is Doctor Y's grandfather!
  • King Octopus can disguise as many characters and it takes a while for James and Coolva to find him out. Real life octopi are indeed known as being good at disguising. He's also very smart, something real life octopi are also known for.
  • Kimchi pick on Miyamoto of all people, probably because she's from South Korea, and Miyamoto is from Japan, and the two countries aren't known for being on the best terms. (It doesn't help that Miyamoto likes collecting katanas and dress in an ancient way, which may or may not remind Kimchi of Imperial Japan) And Miyamoto was a samurai wannabe, unlike Ninja who does have some combat power.
  • The Robo-meis have a single wheel (with two boots on it) because Xiaomei is known for riding a unicycle.

Fridge Horror

  • Although it's really just one of his dialogues and won't apply to gameplay, there's something that's scarier when you think about it. King Octopus says that he can blow up the hospital with "two presses", which means that he probably has set bombs in the hospital, and not only can he escape hospitalization by bombing it, he can also potentially kill his enemies with the same bombs when they're hospitalized. Who knows what else preparations he has done to ensure that he'd still win when things go wrong?
  • In 11, Easy King Octopus doesn't have an octopus on his head, but at where it would be, it's covered entirely by metal. Is it possible that his head was ripped off by something before he Came Back Strong?
    • KO may even be an oridinary human before the octopus corrupts him, not an alien himself. It's the octopus itself that's the alien and the king. It ends up on his head, brainwashed him or used him as its puppet. Unlike the alien in 8 who was just looking for a diamond, this octopus wants to invade Earth and take over the universe.
    • He also survived the building explosion James was killed in. That, or he was killed, but the octopus revived him.
    • The octopus seems to lack a mouth when you compare it to the one in 8 and 10... then you realize that real life octopi have their mouth under its body. It's where KO's head is. What is it doing to KO? Is it biting his head?!
  • In 7, Big Gamester's dialogue when using Sleepwalk card is to tell others to "have a taste of his new medicine". He may have been drugging his opponents to ensure that he win... or do something worse than that.
    • However, in both 10 and Universe Online, he is shown to have standards.
  • The diamond in 8 grants power to its owner... and amplifies their negative traits to dangerous levels, resulting them in using their newfound powers to threaten the world in one way or another. What will other people do if they get the diamond? It's a good thing that James is able to save Baby King from the diamond before she even realizes that it's there, and the diamond is eventually returned to its owner.
    • This also raises questions about how powerful the aliens in 8 are. If a diamond that can do this is merely a toy, what amount of power do they have? It's really a good thing that the alien we see is nice enough to revive people he accidentally kills, and he seems peaceful. And it's Wednesday who gives him the diamond, as he believes that the alien would answer the Eel God. If any person gets the diamond, they would likely want to keep it forever and force the alien to attack them. Or directly start a real Alien Invasion.
