Jade has inherited some superhuman ability from her father
It seems silly that Jade is slammed by a gigantic caterpillar and suspected to be concussed with internal bleeding, yet recovers rapidly with no treatment. She later jumps from several stories up and lands on a metal storage container, brushing it off and escaping the horde of “zeros” surrounding her. In the lore of the universe, Albert Wesker was affected by experimental genetics research, resulting in him acquiring superhuman abilities, such as enhanced agility, stamina and durability, and advanced healing capabilities (some of these powers are exhibited in his "Blade" scene where he confronts Umbrella officers that raid his lab). Thus Jade's feats that formerly seemed out-of-place now suggest that she—and presumably Billie—inherited abilities from her father not fully known to her (she never recognizes these things as special, so she might just think herself lucky, having a high pain-tolerance, able to bounce back quickly, et cetera).
- The story takes place After the End where the T-Virus ruined most of the world as far as the story is concerned and survivors are in small pockets trying to make ends meet. And yet somehow the Umbrella Corporation not only is as active if not moreso than they were before the outbreak, but they're trying to hunt down and kill survivors in their hunt for Jade. Though Billie clearly has unsaid motivations around Jade's daughter for a theoretical season 2, the show doesn't seem to concern itself with explaining how Umbrella is still kicking or why they're outright murderously evil when, in the past story arc, they're near-entirely just Corrupt Corporate Executive evil.
- It also raises the question of just how selective the continuity is with what it's adapting. To some degree, the games happened complete with Albert Wesker dying in a volcano in 2009. And by that point, Umbrella had completely crashed and burned after the Raccoon City Incident. Yet this show, despite partially acknowledging this, also selectively ignores it, and Umbrella gets to keep doing their thing with questionable medical drugs laced with T-Virus with apparently no government or legal oversight whatsoever despite said incident (and its solution) still having happened.
