Fridge Brilliance

  • Why does Sackboy seemed happy when being strapped to Heihachi's rocket during his Level 3? It doesn't seemed likely he would want to die but given that he brings a checkpoint with him, he'd probably respawn right away. In LittleBigPlanet, the thoughts from Earth has drifted though space to form the Imaginsphere. So once Sackboy has blasted off, he can pretty much see how his universe was created.
    • Double it in with the fact that assuming the rocket would land on the Moon, Sackboy can unleash the creativity within him and make levels on it since the Moon in LBP allows players to create them and send it to Earth for others. Heihachi is basically doing him a favor and allowing him to create possibly more worlds.
  • Big Daddy and Sackboy's rivalry might seem completely random, until you think about the philosophy behind the games they are from. Both characters are the consequence of a world only limited by the creativity of those who occupy it. The difference is that LittleBigPlanet fared much better than Rapture.
  • Ratchet has two cases of this:
    • The Constructo-Pistol has a brief pause between the second and third shot, with the third hitting harder then the first and second. If you look closely, you can see that Ratchet has the Charge Trigger equipped. That pause is Ratchet charging up the third shot.
    • The Plasma Striker gains 10 AP and causes minor flinching when you just press circle. However, by holding circle to aim the weapon, you'll gain 20 AP and cause higher flinching. What's the gimmick of the Plasma Striker? Aiming down the scope lets you hit the weak points of the enemy.
  • Spike thinking Parappa works for Specter may seem like a stretch, until you remember that Parappa is both an animal smart enough to talk and skate, and has a huge hat that could very well hide a helmet like the ones Pipo Monkeys wear. Obviously, that's not the case, but considering Spike's history with monkeys, it wouldn't be a stretch to think Parappa's appearance is setting off red flags in his head. On the other side, Parappa may not have really known Spike's name, he just called him that because of his hair.
  • Good Cole is a lot more hostile to Raiden than Evil Cole is to Fat Princess. The reason why may be because A) A cyborg ninja pointing an electrified blade at you is a lot easier to take seriously as a threat than a chubby, cartoonish princess with tiny guards, B) Good Cole is trying to gather potential allies and stop potential threats, while Evil Cole doesn't give a crap, everyone is either an ignorable nuisance or an obstacle to be crushed.
    • Raiden is also weary of Cole as well, Cole was making weather metaphors about potential threats. Anyone familiar with Raiden's main threat "Winds of Destruction" knows that this would tip Raiden off as a potential threat as well.
  • As the wiki points out, Zeus calls the Rival Arena a "child's plaything", because that's kind of what the stage represents, a Playstation.
  • Parappa says he's sure that Chop Chop Master Onion wouldn't try to take over the world, then pauses and adds "Yet." Why would he add that? Because his sequel was about an unassuming young man working at a burger joint trying to take over the world and make people eat noodles, while Sunny's father retorted that sweets would take over the world, and the two sides wrecked the city over it. Okay, admittedly, It Makes Sense in Context, but after that, Parappa probably figured anyone could try that.
  • Why do Heihachi and Toro/Kuro understand each other, despite speaking entirely different languages? In Tekken, every character are able to communicate with each other despite hailing from different nationalities, including a few non-human characters that do not say a simple word in their voice. So Heihachi is no stranger enough to understand two anthropomorphic cats that speaks in meows.
  • Patapon appearing in the Hades stage seems odd but it makes sense when you realize that Patapons often battle monsters that originate from greek mythology, which is where the God of War series takes place. Naturally, despite their small structure they would have no problem going up against Hades.
  • Why does Dreamscape merges LittleBigPlanet and Buzz into one setting? Because both of their games revolve around using the players brain. In LBP, players use their brains to create levels, while players use their brain in Buzz, to answer questions on a quiz.

Fridge Horror

  • One of Isaac's losing animations is him clutching his side in pain and dropping his weapon. Nothing too bad, right? Then you remember how much his home series loves dismemberment and blood. He could be trying to cover a pretty major injury.
  • The Time Station features pictures of the Professor and Natalie, but they're nowhere to be seen. Granted, the Professor shows up in Spike's ending, so it's unlikely Specter did anything to them. Let's just hope those spores that Satan leaves behind after the fight are taken care of...
    • Similarly, a lot of the mashups on stages end with the bad guy getting taken care of as the fight ends (Dr. Nefarious' invention turns on him, Chop Chop Master Onion takes down the MAWLR, etc.) But Columbia and Paris don't end like that, implying that Dollface's Iron Maiden and the Negativatron are still running around those areas causing havoc.
  • Let's really hope people like Kratos, Zeus, Radec, and Heihachi have some standards about killing their opponents, especially considering they might wind up on a battlefield with kids like Parappa, Spike, and the Little Sister. But even if they Wouldn't Hurt a Child, Sweet Tooth and Evil Cole most likely would.
  • Considering he'd throw his own son off a cliff as a child for the Devil Gene, Dante better thank his lucky stars that he and Heihachi don't have any interactions in the game beyond him tossing the half-demon into the air in the intro.
  • Carmelita is a hazard in Alden's Tower because she seemingly mistakens the fighters for criminals. The issue is that she can very well open fire on good, moral people like Ratchet, Clank, Jak, Daxter, Parappa, Spike, Sackboy, Nariko, Dante (Sorta), and Good Cole. Now, she may not know this, but if she finds out, how is she and her bosses gonna react?
