Fridge Brilliance
- During the Queen's mental attack on Magrat in Lords and Ladies, it is described as "tearing away at the planetary body of Magrat Garlick... ...exposing the core." Now, what is a planet's core made of? It's the biggest lump of iron it has.
- And what better way to prove Magrat is a true witch at heart, if not to show she has a core of iron in her mind?
- Nanny Ogg even talked to the King about "the iron in the head... [that] doesn't rust".
- And what better way to prove Magrat is a true witch at heart, if not to show she has a core of iron in her mind?
- Agnes being the next third witch, and being said to have potential, does show up in the scene where Granny challenges the young witches to knock her hat off, although there are different ways to interpret it.
- As pointed out on the When You Snatch the Pebble page, Agnes seems to have considered Nanny's approach of knocking it off with a stick, saying "I don't think I can do it when you're looking," because Granny might stop her.
- Alternately, unlike her friends, who immediately said they couldn't because it's Granny they're facing, Agnes at least tried to cast a spell before failing.
