Fridge Brilliance:

  • Ray's final duel with Damian Darhk makes more sense once you go back all the way to the beginning of Arrow, season four: Ray was Damian's hostage for six months. Like Sara, he also has a beef with him.
  • Mick having a stronger will than Stein and Rip seems odd at first, but then you remember that Mick broke free of the conditioning the Time Masters put him under to turn him into Chronos... twice!
  • When Arthur called for his advisor Merlin, Nate was unhappy because Arthurian Legend was becoming too real. Sara, on the other hand, grew concerned and told the others to prepare for a fight. As far as she knew at the time, there was only one MERLYN that was real, and he is definitely not a good guy....
  • The episode plays for irony that Nate, the history expert, is completely wrong about Camelot because it contradicts actual known fact about that period of history, and as a point his attempt at dressing in "era appropriate" wear is mocked. The thing is, Nate was wrong about this; the Real Is Brown look of The Dung Ages is Dated History, and in fact, people would have dressed quite colourfully, because even commoners liked not looking like dung. Of course, plate armour is anachronistic, but the way Nate dressed would have gotten him accosted as a leper or beggar.
