The explosive handcuffs in Baba's main route could not possibly serve any practical purpose. If Detective Ayase's intention was to keep Baba from escaping, slapping an Explosive Leash on Baba makes sense... but why on earth would Ayase do so in a way that would also blow himself up if the cuffs were to go off?
