- In The Rant for the comic where WOC recommends "The Knight in Rusty Armor" to Roomie, the author says, "Important Reminder: Smile at the world and the world will smile to you in return!" with a wink. She says this ... because Roomie's white shiny armor is the smile that she smiles at the world with so that it smiles to her in return. That's Roomie's defense mechanism: laugh, flirt, grin, and joke around! And however much of that is genuine, a lot of that is Roomie trying to make sure the world doesn't hurt her by being nice to it. Which is why Lillian had to tell her that it was okay to be not smiling sometimes.
- In the "Quest for the Holy Female" storyline, after the dream where she had to choose between waking a sleeping princess (Roomie) or killing her (and she wakes Roomie with a kiss and a smack to the head), Lillian wakes up to see Roomie sleeping next to her. Later in the same storyline, we discover that Lillian actually did smack Roomie in the head and wake her up.
In other words, we discover that Roomie, having snuck into bed with someone she met for the first time literally two nights prior, woke up to that someone sleep-hitting her on the head, and went right back to sleep next to her. And didn't wake up for good until after Lillian had already gone to write (and then fall asleep) on the couch.
