The comic book

  • Fridge Logic: When something causes She-Hulk, Nighthawk, Howard the Duck, and Frankenstein's Monster to turn into monstrous versions of themselves, Howard the Duck turns into... a lizard creature. Repeat Howard the DUCK turns into a LIZARD as an apparently monstrous version of THEMSELVES.
  • During the sound bites of bad news as the world starts on a downturn in issue 2, one of the statements is "autism rates skyrocket" . Firstly, given that autism is diagnosed how is this possible? Did Cul retroactively make people autistic? Secondly, isn't it rather ableist to conflate autism with the ways the world is falling apart? It's being paired with mass deaths and disease epidemics.
    • Maybe none of those things are really happening, but people BELIEVE they are as Cul is increasing the fear and confusion in the world and making people believe their worst fears are coming true, therefore ableist people who fear autistic people would believe rates of autism were increasing? God only knows what OTHER types of bigots would see...
  • Fridge Brilliance: The naming convention for the Worthy follows a pattern of "Breaker of [X]". This seems fine by itself but gets more depth coming after the Thor movie, where Thor refers to Coulson as "Son of Coul". This means the Worthy's name are literal translations of names or titles that mean "[X]breaker". The depth comes from the fact that one of Odin's epithets is "Oathbreaker" and further how his son, the God of Thunder and Storms, probably earned the name "Breaker of Storms" or Stormbreaker.
