Fridge Brilliance

  • Vampire and Alchemist Cookie are siblings; Alchemist Cookie's hair looks like grapes, which was what Vampire Cookie fermented in while baking.
  • Some pets seem far from coordinated with their respective Cookie until you dig into them:
    • Kumiho Cookie's Foxy Bead lets her collect high up Bear Jellies without having to increase her double jump counter.
    • Spotlight Fan makes cookies invulnerable to obstacles along with having a magnetic effect; with this power, Rockstar Cookie can slide and create more Music Note Jellies without worrying about picking them up or getting hurt from obstacles.
    • Why would Popcorn Cookie have Picky Tomato as a pet? Well, Rotten Tomatoes is a well known movie review site...
    • Avocado Cookie's pet rewards the player for not getting hit; considering that Avocado works around making tools to break obstacles, it seems natural that, to add insult to injury, it would hinder her point output if she got hit.
  • The Island of Memories plays with a three-star-per-level mechanic with powerups to use during them; just like the original game's Tower of Frozen Waves.
  • Pomegranate Cookie is terrible by herself, and she is just a Support Party Member whose purpose is to assist the relay Cookie. However, it makes sense considering her lore, since she is a Satellite Character who has no defining characteristics other than being a servant of Dark Enchantress Cookie, compared to Blackberry Cookie who is Adventurer Cookie's maid but has enough character to become a Cookie of her own.
    • Additionally, she is very drawn to Dark Enchantress, whose character story notes that she was made with poisonous scarlet pomegranate syrup. Perhaps Pomegranate Cookie saw that in her as well.
  • There are a lot of themes of water surrounding Ninja Cookie, from liking ocean (according to him in the lobby), going to Land 3 as an unlock requirement, ingredients to make his Magic Candy relating to ocean, etc. However, it makes sense considering the fact his cultural origins came from a certain country surrounded by water itself
    • Additionally, Ninja Cookie largely associated with water made sense as water are extremely adaptable to any surroundings. Just like any real-life ninja.
  • The Treasures, especially the ones released starting with the final part of Season 3, have some sort of connection with the Cookie it was released with when you look at it more closely.
    • DJ Cookie's motifs include music and having rainbows in their hair, so it would be sensible to release Rainbow Headphones as the new Treasure that time.
    • The Magic Card Deck is all about cards, and so is Cinnamon Cookie.
    • The Peaceful Dove Bun released with Cotton Candy Cookie, who has a strong love theme. Peace and love are closely related concepts. It also ties into the Grand Champions League, which was going on when it was released; Wind Archer Cookie, who is unlocked when you reach Champions League, turns fallen spirits into doves. note
  • In one of the last cutscenes of Purple Yam's Adventures, it seems like a plot convenience for Purple Yam to fall off the cliff only to be saved by Milk for both of them to bond closer. However, it should be noted that, unlike other Cookies with activated abilities that ended up keeping them from falling down in a hole, Purple Yam's activated ability does not grant him that very same immunity. Therefore making him much more susceptible to FALLING if players aren't careful.
  • Having most of the culprits in the Detective events be Designated Villains seems kind of weird at first...until you remember that during them you’re playing as Walnut Cookie, who’s a Kid Detective. Genius detective or no, a child is still going to be petty and/or make mistakes a more experienced (and older) investigator wouldn’t.

Fridge Horror

  • Dark Choco Cookie's Strawberry Jam Sword may seem like Fluffy the Terrible at first. After all, what's so intimidating about strawberry jam? Except the series has stated that strawberry jam is the Cookie equivalent to blood, so the sword is infused with Cookies' blood. Which leaves the question: whose blood is in the sword, and is it possible that one of them is responsible for causing the sword to be cursed?
    • In the comics, Strawberry Cookie has been shown shopping for strawberry jam. Considering the above Fridge Horror, is Strawberry aware that she's effectively buying Cookies' blood? If she knows, why does she want it? How do Cookies get strawberry jam anyway?! (Luckily, the comics are non-canon, but if it's not a mistake on the comic producers' part...)
    • Given that Cheesecake Cookie has a jar of it in the canon Cookie Detective event, and she doesn't seem like the type to keep a jar of Cookie blood in her kitchen, not all strawberry jam might be created equal. In fact, it might be the Cookie equivalent of using animal blood for certain recipes, like blood pudding. Though that arguably makes the jam falling on GingerBrave even more disgusting...
