• The entire design behind Rittie, the titular Whisper of the Sea and the last of the three key items in the game necessary to reach the Golden Ending. While she is drawn like a mermaid, she is actually based on a clione, making her more a sea angel. Since Rittie's special ability is to extend Karin's Oxygen Meter so she can hold her breath three times longer, Rittie is, in a way, a literal angel of the sea. A guardian angel that watches over Karin so that she doesn't drown underwater too soon.
