  • Fridge Brilliance: The core mechanic of "pick 1 option out of 3 if you roll 7-9" actually deliberately underscores the Central Theme of the game: extreme scarcity in a post-apocalyptic world (you can never have everything you want). It's one of the most subtle examples of Baker's adherence to The Forge's philosophy that often goes lost in the Powered by the Apocalypse hacks, which adopt the mechanic that's rooted in scarcity mindset without regard of how it fits with their own themes.
