• The four villains intend to blow Earth up. Logic would dictate that conquering a world is more profitable than obliterating it... but neither of the villains is a Terran, so they have no love for Earth. It's merely their many enemies' home. And they are able to space travel, so it isn't like they can't find another world to take over.
