The War of the Worlds is a science fiction novel written by H.G. Wells about a Martian invasion of Earth, which has been adapted into other works of media numerous times.

  • War of the Worlds (2005), directed by Steven Spielberg and starring Tom Cruise. It additionally had two Direct-to-Video Follow the Leader Dueling Films released in the same year:
    • H. G. Wells' War of the Worlds, the film that launched The Asylum, the Mock Buster juggernaut, to prominence. Also notable for giving the iconic tripods six legs. Followed by a sequel in 2008.
