When the Bough Breaks is a 2016 thriller film starring Morris Chestnut, Regina Hall, and Jaz Sinclair.
John and Laura Taylor (Chestnut and Hall) are a middle-aged married couple who are having trouble with fertility. Seeking to have a child, they hire young and perky Anna (Sinclair) to serve as their surrogate. At first, Anna appears to be the perfect surrogate. But after she moves in with the Taylors following an assault from her abusive boyfriend, Anna's behavior changes and she develops an obsession for John. As her actions threaten to derail their marriage and lives, John and Laura must uncover Anna's dark secrets in order to find a way to save their future... and that of their unborn child.
