Virgins of the Seven Seas (original German title, Karate, Küsse, blonde Katzen, also known as The Bod Squad and Enter The 7 Virgins) is a 1974 Martial arts-slash-Exploitation Film, co-produced between Germany and Hong Kong, where Hong Kong's prestigious Shaw Brothers studios get to collaborate with an Austrian porn director to make what is probably the Shaws' only foray into sexploitation martial arts. (Yes, for real!)
When a British ship gets raided by Chinese pirates off the Chinese coast in the late Ming Dynasty, five English maidens named Dawn, Brenda, Anna, Karen and Celia are among the only survivors. Captured by pirates working for a local brothel owned by the ruthless Lord Chao, the five women faces unknown fates of being auctioned off to wealthy foreign clients. However, a kindly attendant in the brothel, Mei-mei, decides to help the five women escape by convincing her brother, Master Ko Pao (Yueh Hua) a swordsman and martial artist, to teach them kung fu so they may exact revenge on the pirates and slavers.
Kung fu-fighting, nudity, more nudity and kung-fu-fighting-in-the-nude ensues. Tons and tons and tons of it. We mean the nudity, of course.
Virgins of the Seven Seas contains examples of:
- Amazon Brigade: The five virgins, after an extensive training under Master Ko, end up becoming capable female ass-kickers and warriors to exact brutal revenge against Lord Chao and the pirates.
- Attempted Rape: The pirates often try this on their captives, and the five virgins get plenty of special attention because the all-Asian pirates consider the Caucasian women to be more "exotic".
- Badass Teacher: Master Ko Pao, who teaches the five girls his skills in martial arts in secret so they may exact revenge against their pirate captors.
- Band of Brothels: The five girls end up being enslaved in a brothel owned by Chao, until the righteous swordsman Ko Pao decide to secretly train them in martial arts skills until they're capable of fighting back.
- Big Bad: Chao is the cruel and ruthless owner of a brothel who is working with a band of pirates specializing in kidnapping young women - preferably virgins - to be auctioned off in his brothel.
- Big Damn Heroes: In the final battle, just as Master Ko Pao is being overwhelmed by legions and legions of pirate mooks after killing more than twenty of them, suddenly the five virgins arrive as reinforcements. Wearing nothing but vests and loinclothes or panties. Somehow it works, with the pirates being distracted and suddenly facing retaliation from the five women they spent the whole movie abusing, at which point most of them ends up getting killed en-masse.
- Distracted by the Sexy: The virgins use this trick more than once to get the drop on their pirate captors, or to attempt an escape.
- The Dog Bites Back: The virgins spend most of the film being physically, sexually and mentally abused by the pirates who intend to sell them off. After an extensive training in martial arts, they are completely capable of fighting back against their captors, killing off several pirates in lengthy battle sequences.
- Excuse Plot: Half of the movie's runtime is dedicated to the virgins' kung fu training and fighting in the nude. The five main actresses practically spend the whole movie topless, just to cater to the specific audience who wants their kung fu films to contain as much boobs as possible.

- Full-Frontal Assault: Most of the virgins go into battle in a near-nude condition.
- Genre Mashup: An exploitation drama-slash-kung fu Wuxia movie. Yeah, it happened.
- Gorgeous Gaijin: One of the reasons why the five main characters, being Caucasian prostitutes, are considered "more valuable" for the pirates.
- Honey Trap: With the five main characters being scantily-clad women, this is expected to happen.
- Human Trafficking: The main villains of the movie are human traffickers, who kidnapped the five titular characters after raiding a British ship, and intend to sell them off to foreign buyers.
- Non-Indicative Title: One of the foreign subtitles of the film is Enter The 7 Virgins. There are only five of them.
- Ruthless Modern Pirates: A ship sailing in the pre-First Opium War South China Sea is attacked by pirates and five British maidens on board are kidnapped.
- Teacher/Student Romance: Implied between Master Ko Pao and Dawn, the leader of the virgins.
- Training Montage: For the five virgins, under Master Ko Pao. For some reason, they're training nearly in the nude.
- Took a Level in Badass: The five virgins after being trained in martial arts, where they started fighting back.
- Master Swordsman: Master Ko Pao, being classic Yueh Hua, who cuts down plenty of pirates in massive fight scenes. The five women end up being capable swordswomen after going through his training regiment.
- Ms. Fanservice: The five virgins. All of them.
- Shot in the Ass: An attempted rapist trying to force himself on Dawn ends up having Dawn spitting an olive seed into his buttocks, which hurts him. Somehow.
- Super Spit: After an extensive training in martial arts, the five girls somehow managed to learn to spit olive seeds with precision, each seed hitting with enough force to make a grown man wince.
- Vapor Wear: The five virgins' battle outfit consists of a skimpy, sleeveless and backless vest, and panties or loinclothes. It's never explained.
