The Paranormal Diaries: Clophill is a British Found Footage Horror Movie by Michael G. Bartlett and Kevin Gates.

In the countryside near Clophill, Bedfordshire, on top of a hill overlooking the town, lies the ruins of St. Mary's Church. Once the town's main church, it was closed for good when another one was built within the town. Then the lead was taken from the building, and ever since, it's become infamous as a hotbed of paranormal activity. Its most significant event there was a black mass held in it in 1963, which involved the sacrificing of animals and the desecrating of the dead body of a woman buried in its cemetery named Sophia.

The year is 2010, and a group of paranormal investigators have gone up to the church to investigate, confirming whether or not the rumours are true. What follows will be three long nights that may change their whole view on ghosts.

The movie was released August 23rd, 2013.

The Paranormal Diaries: Clophill contains examples of:

  • Based on a True Story: Namely, on the real St. Mary's Church, and the events of 1963.
  • Creepy Cemetery: There's a decrepit cemetery by the church, where one person says they saw a white figure following them. Also, quite a few Sophias were buried there.
  • Found Footage: The whole movie is presented in this manner, from the P.O.V. of many cameras.
  • Godiva Hair: The woman the cultists are preparing to sacrifice has her hair down covering her nipples.
  • Gratuitous Latin: One witness remarks at finding "La Vide" written on a wall in the church, which he later found out translates to "No future".
  • In the Hood: A couple crew members (like Rob and Cris) wear hoodies. There's also the cultists, who wear hooded robes.
  • Night-Vision Goggles: The cameras used in the movie have a night-vision function. The first scene of the movie is a member of the crew playing around with it.
  • Ouija Board: Used a couple of times in the movie. Each time during a seance.
  • Spooky Séance: A couple of seances are held at the church, both with a ouija board.
  • Talking Heads: There are a few scenes in the movie of people being interviewed, from Clophill residents, to witnesses of paranormal activity, or even of the 1963 black mass.
