A Reunion Show for Ninpuu Sentai Hurricaneger taking place ten years after the Series Finale.
In the years after their Final Battle against Jakanja, the Hurricanegers all went their separate ways from one another, only to reunite once more when a mysterious terrorist known as "HurricaneDark" begins carrying out bombings against Space Unified Ninja School locations. HurricaneDark's true identity is none other than Yousuke Shiina, The Leader of the Hurricanegers, who apparently went rogue in the years since his teammates last saw him. Making things more complicated is the emergence of a new Jakanja member, Zero Spear Bat Zhe Rumba, who has enlisted the help of Wendinu and Furabijo to go after the Hurricanegers' Shinobi medals, as well as mysterious boy named Tenkai. What connection do these things all share, and will the Hurricanegers be able come together to stop the new threat? It's up to the Hurricanegers to once more prove their worth as ninjas.

- Canon Discontinuity: The special seems to completely ignore every post-series crossover special, as the original Shurikenger comes back in those, while in this film, he doesn't, implying he died for real. Instead, Tenkai becomes the new Shurikenger. Similarly, Furabijo's presence directly contradicts Boukenger vs Super Sentai, which killed her off.
- Distant Sequel: Released 10 years following the conclusion of Hurricaneger.
- Dragon Their Feet: Furabiijo and Wendinu once again outlive their employer. After Bat Zhe Rumba is defeated the two of them say they'll be back in ten years and then disappear.
- Dual Age Modes: Tenkai grows to adult size when he's Shurikenger.
- Expy: Tenkai is one of Kibaranger. Both are a Kid Hero that has a connection to the Big Bad, and who becomes a Sixth Ranger.
- Fanservice: Early on we get Nanami showering and then having to fight Bat Zhe Rumba while wearing nothing but a towel.
- Guest-Star Party Member: Tenkai becomes Shurikenger in the Final Battle and fights alongside the Hurricanegers in place of the first Shurikenger.
- Identical Grandson: The woman serving as judge for Yosuke's trial at the Space Ninja School looks exactly like Kagura and is stated to be a relative of her.
- I Have Your Wife: Yusuke is only helping the Jakanja because they captured Tenkai.
- I Lied: Bat Zhe Rumba told Yosuke he would let Tenkai go if he helped him get the Shinobi medals. He was lying, as he needs Tenkai to invoke the Great Will.
- Kid Hero: Tenkai is ten years old, and is both the Great Will and the second Shurikenger.
- Legacy Character: Tenkai becomes the second Shurikenger.
- Million Mook March: A massive horde of Magerappas are summoned against the Hurricanegers in the post-Final Battle.
- Mook Carryover: Wendinu and Furabiijo are back again and now assisting a new master in Bat Zhe Rumba. Later on they also summon a wave of Magerappas to do battle against the Hurricanegers again.
- Post-Final Boss: Bat Zhe Rumba is one Hurricaneger as a whole. The Jakanja and Evil Will are long gone, but there's still this guy.
- Reincarnation: Tenkai is the embodiment of the Great Will, a new incarnation of the Evil Will born from its destruction.
- The Remnant: Wendinu and Furabiijo are the last remaining remnants of the Space Ninja Group Jakanja, along with however many Magerappas they can summon.
- Reunion Show: Reunites the Hurricanegers for the first time since their guest appearance in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger two years prior and includes the Gouraigers for the first time since Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger vs. Hurricaneger nine years prior.
- Sequel Hook: Furabiijo and Wendinu get away and tell the Hurricanegers they'll meet again. It is also said at the very end that Bat Zhe Rumba returns every ten years...
- Shout-Out: The name Bat Zhe Rumba feels like a nod to the Sentai season that was airing when this film came out, which features a lot of dancing.
- Sudden Sequel Heel Syndrome: Yousuke starts the movie off appearing to be the Big Bad and doing battle against his former teammates. It turns out he's being blackmailed by Bat Zhe Rumba, who is holding Tenkai hostage. He later rejoins his teammates and leads them once more to stop Bat Zhe Rumba.
- Trojan Prisoner: Yosuke lets Nanami and Kouta capture him, so Bat Zhe Rumba can sneak inside the Space Ninja School and steal Shurikenger's medal.
- Walking Spoiler: It's hard to talk about Tenkai without talking about him being the Reincarnation of the Evil Will or becoming the second Shurikenger.
