Kidco is a 1984 movie about Dickie Cessna, a boy who, with his sisters Nene, Bette, and June, began a fertilizer business, to the ire of the local fertilizer company owner, Orville Peterjohn. The IRS had already targeted their father but with the urging of Peterjohn, they decide to target the kids instead.

This movie provides examples of:

  • A Fool for a Client: the judge reminds Dickie of this adage. Dickie responds that a kid could never trust someone who spent extra years in school.
  • Ancestral Name: Dickie's real name is Richard Cessna Jr., with his father being Richard Cessna Sr.
  • Based on a True Story: the real life company was owned by the four Cessna children. This was Kidco Limited Ventures. The real life Cessna children became heirs to the Cessna Aircraft company.
  • Blowing a Raspberry: when the golf course owner decided to use the children to supply the fertilizer for his golf course, he had Nene (the youngest Cessna sister) give the raspberry to Peterjohn.
  • Covered in Gunge: happens to Nene when the previous fertilizer company's truck accidentally does it to her. Dickie tries to comfort her by saying it wasn't the poop kind, but she still cries about it.
  • Family Business: Dickie begins Kidco with his sisters' help.
  • Grade-School C.E.O.: Dickie becomes the President of Kidco at 12 years old.
  • Intimidating Revenue Service: arguably the biggest villain in the movie, as they were originally going after the father before Peterjohn convinces them to go after the kids instead. Thanks to the iRS the movie's ending was not entirely happy.
  • Just a Kid: one of the strategies Dickie deploys in his defense. He asks his oldest sister June to hide in the back to shore this up as kids don't have boobs as big as hers.
  • Smug Snake: the younger Peterjohn was afraid of Dickie at school, but at the golf course next to his father he was quite smug to Dickie and Nene.
