Moe: Didn't you say you had an uncle?
Curly: Yeah, Uncle Bob O. Link, but the family didn't speak to him. He had millions.
Moe: That's it, we're rich!
Larry: We're filthy with dough!
Moe: You're filthy without it.

The Stooges' 86th entry goes on a more "frightening" premise if you may. In this short, Moe and Larry discover that Curly's an heir to his late uncle Bob O. Link, and it's their opportunity to receive easy money through his inheritance. Upon their arrival, they're brought into a murder plot when they discover that Link was murdered and Curly becomes worried that they might be next.

This short subject contains examples of:

• Darker and Edgier: This premise involves a murder plot, two off-screen deaths and having the trio in the dark.
• Dem Bones: One of the funnier bits in the short is when the boys get terrorized by a flying and talking (courtesy of the living parrot inside it) human skull.
• Downer Ending: The ending has the trio receiving the will after finding out the maid was the murderer in disguise. Yet, as Curly reads it...
  Curly: "To my nephew, Curly Q. link, I leave a sum total of 67 cents, net."
  Larry: 67...!
  Curly: Sixty...
  Moe: "67 cents"?!
• Everyone Is a Suspect: When Detective Clancy mentions Bob O. Link's demise a guest is befuddled and thinks one of the guests was behind it.
  Detective Clancy: Well, maybe you did and maybe you didn't. But you're not leaving here until I find out, see? Besides, some of you are still missing.
• Get-Rich-Quick Scheme: Per "Stooges-as-tramps-story" norm. They discover about Bob O. Link's passing in the paper and Curly's an heir to his fortune, so they plan to receive it. Yet, that was before they became victims to this murder plot.
• Killed Off for Real: Bob O. Link, then his lawyer.
• Peek-a-Boo Corpse: Moe discovers Bob O. Link's corpse behind a hidden panel, which then pops up again along with the lawyer's body as the Stooges try to flee the house.
• Punny Name:
  • Curly Q. Link (Curlicue).
    Larry: What's the 'Q' stand for; "Quincy"?
    Curly: Nope.
    Moe: "Quilip"?
    Curly: No.
    Moe: What does the 'Q' stand for?
    Curly: Quff.
    Larry: Oh, Quff Link.
    Moe: Oh... (doubletake)
    • The middle name "Quff" was meant to reference cufflinks, a type of jewelry to secure dress shirt cuffs.
  • And let's not forget Bob O. Link (Bobolink, a species of blackbird).
• What Happened to the Mouse?: The other guests in the short. After they were given rooms after the the lawyer's body was missing. Then at one point, the Stooges find two in a closet tied up and gagged, but weren't rescued as the Stooges ran afterwards in fright.
