Godzilla vs. Kong is a 2021 Kaiju Action Adventure crossover film by Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. It is the fourth film to be set in the MonsterVerse after Godzilla, Kong: Skull Island and Godzilla: King of the Monsters. It is the second film to feature Godzilla and King Kong since Toho's King Kong vs. Godzilla in 1962. It is directed by Adam Wingard (Death Note, VHS) and written by Eric Pearson and Max Borenstein.

While Monarch unearths clues to the Titans' origins, Godzilla has seemingly turned against humanity and has been going on a rampage across the world. Desperate for a way to fight back, humanity ends up taking Kong (who has grown as gigantic as Godzilla since 1973) from his island to the mainlands, as he is the only one remotely capable of fighting back against the King of the Monsters. Thus begins a battle for the ages.

The returning cast includes Millie Bobby Brown as Madison Russell and Kyle Chandler as Dr. Mark Russell. Newcomers include Alexander Skarsgård as Nathan Lind, Shun Oguri as Ren Serizawa (in his Hollywood debut), Eiza González as Maia Simmons, Rebecca Hall as Ilene Andrews, Julian Dennison as Josh Valentine, Brian Tyree Henry as Bernie Hayes, Demián Bichir as Walter Simmons, and Lance Reddick as an unnamed Monarch director. Zhang Ziyi was originally scheduled to reprise her role as Dr. Ilene Chen from Godzilla: King of the Monsters, but was dropped from the film; while Jessica Henwick was cast as an unspecified role but also did not appear.

The film was released on March 31, 2021 both in reopened theaters and on HBO Max (the latter happened due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, and for a one month duration) in the USA, and in reopened theaters internationally.
