Crepitus is a 2018 horror movie starring Bill Moseley in the titular role.
Elizabeth and Sam are a pair of sisters living in their grandfather's house with their abusive alcoholic mother. They begin to realize their house is haunted, leading them to discovering a horrible family secret.

- Absurdly Youthful Mother: For a woman who's given birth to two children and has raised a teenage daughter, and has endured years as a prisoner to a cannibalistic Monster Clown, Brandi looks pretty good.
- Abusive Parents: Brandi regularly lashes out at her daughters over petty slights, like spilling hot water in whatever it is she's having for breakfast. At the end, she gladly hands them both over to Crepitus on a silver platter as her "ticket out". She was also on the receiving end, since Crepitus is her father.
- Bad Humor Truck: Crepitus poses as an ice cream man in the day, and uses it to abduct women and rape them.
- Child Eater: Crepitus' preferred diet is children, though he'll eat adults, too.
- Cop Killer: On occasion, Brandi will lure (or force) police officers into the basement as snacks for Crepitus.
- Downer Ending: Ellie and then one of the parents attack Crepitus, stalling him long enough to starve him of his meal and disintegrate. But then he possesses Sam through the pendant he gave to her, and after Ellie frees Sam, she and an unseen man take her back to the basement above to be raped and to continue his food supply.
- Fingore: "The fingers nourish one by one."
- Foolish Sibling, Responsible Sibling: Sam, the younger, is the foolish to Ellie's responsible. Her curiosity often leads to beatings.
- Freudian Excuse: Downplayed, but Brandi was raped by her own father, the incestuous child-eating Crepitus, so that he could father two daughters that she didn't even want. At the very least, it explains why she turned out the way she did.
- Humanoid Abomination: What Crepitus is remains a Riddle for the Ages. If he was once human, he most definitely isn't now.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Sam drives a fire poker through her mother, but Crepitus finishes her off offscreen.
- Meaningful Name: Crepitus' bones pop and crack when he moves.
- Monster Clown: Possibly one of the sickest examples ever. He's also a literal monster, to boot.
- Rhymes on a Dime: Crepitus speaks this way.
- Serial Killer: Crepitus has traits of this. He specifically targets children on their tenth birthdays, keeping their pictures in a scrapbook alongside articles about their deaths, and also keeps trophies.
- Serial Rapist: Crepitus has raped numerous women, always fathering children from them for him to eat.
- Too Dumb to Live: Those two cops who just went into the basement without a second thought when Brandi told them her husband is down there.
- Torture Cellar: Two of them! The first one is obviously the basement, where Crepitus chains his victims down to eat or worse; the second is a subbasement where he keeps the parents of the children he's murdered.
- Villainous Incest: Brandi is the daughter of Crepitus, who raped her to father Elizabeth and Brandi.
- Would Hurt a Child: Brandi won't be winning mother-of-the-year award anytime soon. And Crepitus is even worse; he tortures children and eats them.
