- The Z Station console supports games like Kebab Fighter and Suburban Karate Master, which was defictionalized on the Cartoon Network site to star Gumball and Darwin.
- In "The Console", Gumball gets a Game Child handheld console as a late birthday present. When he tries to play a role-playing game called Inverted Paradox: The Enemy Within, the console turns all of Elmore into a pastiche of JRPGs.
- In American Dad!, there is Dragon Scuffle, and Beetman, a video game where the player is a beetroot, featuring levels such as avoiding a chef trying to cut you up, and freezing nuclear rabbits. In "May The Best Stan Win", there is a platformer featuring a pink rabbit collecting carrots and sushi, played on a "65" console with up to four wireless gamepads.

- In Back to the Future, there is BraveLord and Monstrux, an arcade game found at Super Mega Arcade World from the episode "Bravelord and the Demon Monstrux". Jules invents a device that transmits the game to his bedroom TV before the game comes to life and Doc is trapped inside the game.
- In Batman: The Animated Series, Edward Nygma (prior to becoming the Riddler) designed a video game called Riddle of the Minotaur which became a smash hit, making the company he worked for millions in profits. Unfortunately, his greedy boss cheated him out of the royalties and took all the credit for himself, thus beginning Nygma's Start of Darkness. (Oddly enough, despite the game's popularity, nobody had managed to finish it at the present time, according to Robin.)

- Danger Mouse relaunch:
- Penfold's favourite game is Giraffe Warriors. It's first mentioned in "Danger at C-Level", with the title being a pun on the oceanic Monster of the Week and Penfold trying to complete Bonus Level C.
- In "Megahurtz Attacks", Penfold hides in a bin of discount video games, between Ant Farm Challenge, Let's Play Grammar 4, and Fancy Boy Slap-Fight 3. The same episode also presents his Virtual Training Simulation as a video game, with inventory puzzles and enemies turning into giant coins when defeated.
- One episode of Dexter's Laboratory featured Dexter trying to win a video game, which Dee Dee was a lot better at. Of course, he uses pretty much his entire laboratory for the task.

- In "Doug's Got No Gift", Doug accidentally blows the money he meant to buy Patti a birthday present trying to get a high score on the arcade game Bag the Neematoad.
- In "Doug's Lost Weekend", Doug gets distracted from writing a report on silt by playing the Wing Commander-esque Space Munks on the Super Pretendo he won for being the Umpteenth Customer.
- In "Doug and the Weird Kids", Al and Moo Sleech are addicted to a game call Glorak on their computer, "Brian". What little is shown of it is Ancient Egyptian-themed with various icons arranged on the screen that explode during play.
- In Drawn Together, Xandir is a video game warrior from a video game fantasy world similar to The Legend of Zelda, where the evil Lord Slashstab frequently captures the princess, and there are monsters to fight, like the Magic Cobras. The game's title is shown in "A Tale of Two Cows", when Toot learns to input cheat codes from The Legend of Xandir hint book with a PlayStation controller.

- In Kim Possible, games include the MMORPG Everlot, in the episode "Virtu-Ron", Zombie Mayhem, in the episode "Steal Wheels", and Zombie Mayhem 2 and Zombie Mayhem 3 in the episode "Motor Ed".
- Blvd Brawlers 2 in Justice League Action, a "popular Fighting Game where fighters battle for street dominance", as Batman describes it. (He quickly adds that he knows this because Robin is fond of it.) Toyman rigs up a facsimile of it that uses the heroes as the fighters.
- In My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, "Slice of Life", Button Mash plays an arcade game with a cube peripheral, possibly for voice commands, and there is a green arcade cabinet, with the decal of an apple surrounded by lightning.
- Pro-Pain! from King of the Hill is a student-developed sandbox game inspired by Grand Theft Auto. Hank was made by his boss to investigate the game to verify any copyright infringement on Strickland Propane. It is eventually discovered that the game is public domain, but by then Hank had become addicted to the game, so the developers of the game made Peggy an uber-player and pitted her against Hank. Hank defeats her, but the developers rigged it so that Peggy's defeat causes the gaming network to crash, breaking Hank's addiction.
- In Maya & Miguel, there is a video game console resembling a PSone/Dreamcast in "The Bet".
- In Metalocalypse, there are the games Donkey Punch and Wheelchair Bound.
- Ultimate Mecha Strike III from Miraculous Ladybug, which looks like a typical Fighting Game with mechas. Marinette managed to surprise her friends by showing her skills at this game, even if that was only for spend time with Adrien, who is also a good player.
- Molly of Denali: Boltronoman vs. the Ice Freak is an in-series video game, which Tooey brings up in "The Worm Turns".
- In a classic episode of Muppet Babies (1984), the babies play several video games, all of which are quite detailed. Kermit plays a game similar to Frogger, Rowlf plays an Adventure Game, and the main focus of the episode is on Gonzo and Miss Piggy's trek through "The Tale of Imelda." The final level of that game even references Metroid, as the writers have Shown Their Work. In fact, the sheer number of game references in the episode (to everything from good-old Pac-Man to Fantasy Zone to that exercise mat for the NES) suggests that somebody on the staff was a gamer of some sort. The episode also had a few seconds of Donkey Kong Jr. shown onscreen.
- "Crunch Pod" from Pepper Ann. Take your three Pac-Man-looking creatures and bump the other player's from behind while avoiding attacks from the Star Castle-esque spinning saucer in the middle.
- One episode featured an Ultra Super Death Gore Fest Chainsawer 3000 game which resembled Metal Slug with Baldur's Gate style graphics and multiplayer gameplay (and apparently playing with a lightgun offered some sort of advantage, possibly also Nintendo Hard given how much effort and planning was put into beating the final level) to deliver An Aesop about game addiction.
- In the The Powerpuff Girls (2016) episode "Bye Bye Bellum", Dragon Wizard Skateboard Fighters is a game that involves blowing stuff up, flipping 1080° off a dragon spike, secret codes, and Character Customization, including a bunny hat.
- In The Raccoons, the intro shows Cyril playing an Atari 2600-style game, where a Cyril sprite destroys trees and collects bags of money.
- The pitch pilot for the show's reboot, featuring unused character redesigns, changes it to a Minecraft expy.
- In Ready Jet Go!, there's a video game that Sean and Sydney like to play called Astro-Tracker, where to win, you have to identify and name certain asteroids.
- The Games from ReBoot, in addition to functioning as disaster-level threats for the heroes to overcome, were also examples, frequently pastiches of real video game tropes and genres. Word of God says the writers modeled the games after genres they happened to be interested in at the time. In "Game Over", Gods, Mortals, and Demons is modeled after Mortal Kombat.
- Strong Johns is an arcade and console game featured in Regular Show.
- In Rick and Morty, in "Mortynight Run", the intergalactic arcade Blips and Chitz includes a number of futuristic games. The most notable is Roy: A Life Well Lived, a VR game in which the player lives an entire life as Roy, a completely average suburban man on Earth, all condensed into a few moments of real time.

- Rugrats:
- In the 1991 series episode "The Santa Experience," Angelica asks Santa for a Teenage Nuclear Fusion Squad video game.
- In "Diapies and Dragons", another episode from the 1991 series, Tommy, Chuckie and Kimi play a medieval-themed arcade game that's very similar to Super Mario Bros., with elements from Donkey Kong and Dig Dug, where they have to rescue a princess from a dragon. They visualize the princess as Taffy, their babysitter.
- The 2021 series has Doorstop, which is a game about a hotel concierge going through a seemingly infinite hall of doors. Stu is addicted to this game and is dismayed when Lady De-Clutter from her eponymous episode takes it away from him.
- The Scooby-Doo video game that's the main subject of Scooby-Doo and the Cyber Chase. It's pretty much a Crash Bandicoot/Croc style linear 3D platformer with a whole laundry list of Stock Video Game Settings, which ends with the gang meeting their earlier incarnations and fighting many of the monsters they'd encountered in the past (in video game form). As you may have guessed, defictionalization was involved, with the fictional game basically ending up as the official licensed game of the movie.

- In "Lisa's Pony", Abe plays a space shooter on a single button Atari 2600-style controller, while Bart tries to give him directions, informing him that after encountering a Xylon Cruiser, the best option is to go to hyperspace.
- In "I Married Marge", there is a blue arcade cabinet with a Ms. Pac-Man clone. The Ms. Pac-Man expy is made of two triangles and a bow ribbon. The ghosts have a similar design to the aliens Kang and Kodos.
- In "A Streetcar Named Marge", there is Bowling 2000, a bowling game on a Game Boy style handheld.
- In "Lisa's First Word", a kid approaches a group of kids on the street and asks if they want to play stick ball. They agree, and run to three arcade games: Mumblety PEG, Stickball, and Kick the Can.
- In "Homer's Triple Bypass", Homer mentions his company gave up health insurance for a pinball machine in the lounge.
- In "Boy-Scoutz 'N the Hood", the redesigned Noiseland Arcade has redesigned cabinets for several unnamed games, and also, Larry the Looter, Time Waster, Touch of Death, View Master, My Dinner with Andre (with controls Trenchant Insight, Bon Mot, and "Tell Me More"), and Panamanian Strongman, which Bart plays until getting a Game Over.

- In "Chinpokomon", the Chinpokomon multimedia franchise has TV ads, an animated series, toys and a camp for teaching children to learn Japanese. The video game is played on a console and controller similar to the Nintendo 64. Chinpokomon dolls are seen in several episodes, and in South Park: The Stick of Truth, three achievements are earned from collecting thirty Chinpokomon.
- In "Best Friends Forever", the PSP game Heaven vs. Hell is a game with at least sixty levels.
- In "Guitar Queer-O", Heroin Hero is a game about chasing a pink dragon through an enchanted forest while using up needles and smack, Rehab Hero, a game about running away from a pink dragon to escape the addiction of Heroin Hero (featuring Paris Hilton on the cover), and a racing game. Since its broadcast, Heroin Hero has been made into several different versions via Flash. (Just search Newgrounds.)
- The episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" featured a fictionalized version of World of Warcraft with significant differences from the real version, and mentioned a Hello Kitty Island Adventure MMO, though there is a real Hello Kitty Online. The actual games had easter eggs referencing the episode. In 2023, Hello Kitty Island Adventure was defictionalized for Apple Arcade.
- In "Freemium isn't Free", there is the Terrance and Phillip Give Us Your Money Mobile Game for the iPhone.
- The 2001 Okama GameSphere in the episode "Towelie". The GameSphere has 128 GHz D-RAM and several games, and also appears in "It's Christmas in Canada", "Goobacks", "You Got F'd in the A", "Make Love, Not Warcraft", and "1%". The game South Park: Big Wheel Death Rally features the Okama Gamesphere 2.
- In "Towelie", the kids are playing the GameSphere version of Thirst for Blood, a shooting game that can be played with four players or as a two player fighting game, involving gold, parachutes, saved games and at least fifty levels, with areas including The Caverns of Madness, a secret underground base, and an underwater level. The Thirst for Blood arcade version appears in "You "Got F'd in the A", "You're Getting Old", and "Super Fun Time", and appears in "Guitar Queer-O" along with arcade games Farmer's Market, Fist Fighter, Gang Wars, and Smack Man.
- In Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends, Flash Thompson's favorite arcade game was something called Video Man. In the episode where it premiered, however, Electro was somehow able to bring the Antagonist Title Character in the game to life, thereby creating the most memorable villain in the whole series.

- Teen Titans (2003):
- The series features the GameStation, GameStation 2 (GS2), and GameStation XL game consoles, and the prototype game console GameStation Turbo Extreme.
- In the episode "Crash", Beast Boy is able to hack into a system to download an early copy of a game called Mega Monkeys 4. However, because it's a pirated copy, his regular console lacks the necessary hardware to play it, so he tries to play it on Cyborg's computer, but accidentally uses Cyborg's recharging generator instead. When Cyborg tries to use it, well, the results aren't pretty. (And the resulting crisis sets up the plot.)
- The episode "The World's Deadliest Game" of Challenge of the Superfriends had Toyman build a giant pinball machine on an ice planet, which he used to torment Black Lighting and Wonder Woman.Toyman: "Wonder Woman in the hole! I get a thousand points and a free ball!"
- Tiny Toon Adventures:
- The episode "K-Acme TV" features Super Plucky-o Bros., a parody of Super Mario Bros., with sound effects from the actual game. Plucky plays at the arcade until the announcer mentions the home console version available on the Numbmindo system, which costs only $879.99, game not included.
- In the episode "Toon TV", the segment "Video Game Blues" shows an arcade with games including a 2D space shooter resembling Galaga, a game called Space Jock, and a game with a dual joystick setup Plucky is playing, about flying a spaceship through space at speeds of light before encountering formations of Martian spaceships and blasting them with green electrobeams, chasing escaping ships by flying around asteroids, firing a destruct-o-ray, and being chased by ships and being destroyed by their pink electrobeams. Plucky inserts a coin to continue, showing his character outside of his ship, in space, wearing a jet pack and firing a space gun at a Martian ship, before a backup fleet appears and causes another Game Over to occur. Plucky vows to create a series of Earthbound Exterminator arcade games, starring his own character as the enemy to fire at, and place the arcade games in Martian arcades where the Martians will become addicted to playing and give Plucky an unlimited supply of quarters to continue playing arcade games.
- Robot Resource is an arcade game appearing in The Transformers episode "The Immobilizer".
- Ninja Gladiator is a fighting game appearing in the Transformers: Animated episode "Where Is Thy Sting?"
- Griffin Rock Element Quest is a virtual reality video game in the Transformers: Rescue Bots episodes "A Virtual Disaster" and "Back to Virtual Reality".
- The Ultimate Spider-Man (2012) episode "Game Over" mentions Shield of Honor, which seems to be Call of Duty with superheroes. Captain America was an advisor during development.
- In an early episode of Xiaolin Showdown, Kimiko tries to cheer Raimundo up by offering him her handheld system with Goo Zombies II, which is supposedly a hot new title.
- An episode of X-Men: The Animated Series had a kid running in the street, super excited to play his new video game: "Assassin". Which had a picture of the Punisher on the cartridge. Hearing the name of the game helped remind Bishop what he had been sent to the past to prevent.
