a resistance jacket torn to shreds, and a dream inside our heads by: folkloricfeel, jannika

  • Recommended by onlythemad1s
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: Poe is a self-proclaimed punk and a rebel with a cause, Rey is a scrappy foster kid who's found a niche, and Finn is an overachiever on the verge of a breakdown. This is the story of their senior year. (High school AU, but not really, because the story's just getting started.)
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn/Rey
  • Comment: A lovely, lovely teenage AU fic about connection and acceptance and all that jazz.

Wait and Hope by: Elywyngirlie

  • Summary: Rey waited for years for her husband, Captain Ben Solo, to return from his last journey to sea. For three years she waited until one evening, Hux shows up with an offer: marry me or lose all that you love. She scrambles to find a way to outsmart him and the First Order Bank, ruining the town with disastrous loans. Meanwhile a new person has moved into the small seaside village—Kylo Ren, a wealthy foreigner who seems bent on ruining the First Order Bank in general and Hux in particular.
  • Pairing: Reylo.
  • Comment: 19th Century AU, All Human, Happy Endings, Stormpilot in the background.

Circumnavigating The Stars by: DarthAbby.

  • Pairing: None yet.
  • Comment: Time Travel AU, Peggy Sue!AU. Rey, Finn and Poe are sent from the end of TFA, but Anakin, Cody and Obi-Wan end up at the start.

leading by example by serenfire

  • Recommended by: Pistachioinfernal
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: High School AU. “There has been an awakening,” Kylo breathes into the PA system, voice smooth and mysterious and not at all cracking on the last word. He holds his breath for a beat. “The Talent Show is coming! Mark your calendars for December 18th. Auditions are the week before, so everyone: get your act together!” The next person over the PA is Rey. “We’re firing Kylo from Student Council,” informs the StuCo President.
  • Comments: Every fandom has high school AUs, but not all of them are GOOD. Or HILARIOUS. Or feature m/m, f/f pairings. If you like all those things, this is the fic for you. And spoilers for The Force Awakens.
    • Seconded. My god, everything was just so funny. And the tweets...my god, the tweets...also, it's completed now.

Ten Steps To A Fall by bam_cassiopeia.

  • Recommended by Brytte Myst
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: Small steps that lead to Leia and Luke fighting on opposite sides.
  • Comment: An amazing insight in Leia Organa, her relationship with her son, and how TFA's events came to be. AU, since it's most probably not canon (althought that would be awesome).

No New Thing by Lisse

  • Recommended by toxinvictory
  • Status: Complete/Oneshot
  • Plot Synopsis: Rey dreams of a dead man. No, not that one.
  • Review: An poignant piece told from Rey's point of view right after the movie. Manages to be heartbreaking and heartwarming at once.

slouches towards jakku to be born by peradi

  • Recommended by toxinvictory
  • Status: Complete/Oneshot
  • Pairing: Rey/Poe Dameron/Finn
  • Plot Synopsis: Jakku is a graveyard, overbrimming with ghosts. On a quest to discover her ilum crystal — to make herself a new lightsabre — Rey runs into some dead things, and finds out that she's heir to a legacy (just not the one she wanted.)
  • Review: A ghost/mindsrewy story that manages to treat a crack idea very seriously and tell a powerful story out of it.

have you heard by peradi.

  • Recommended by Shiakou
  • Status: Complete.
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn/Rey
  • Summary: "I heard FN-2187 was a Stormtrooper." Finn sparks a revolution.
  • Comment: An awesome take on what should have happened: Finn's defection was the spark of true revolution. Taken as children, conscripted, and brainwashed, the Stormtroopers of the First Order serve as the dehumanized agents of an oppressive government, seen as faceless killers by the rest of the galaxy. But the story of FN-2187 brought some Stormtroopers to start questioning their place, and for that they died. But their deaths inspired doubts and questions in others. And their deaths inspired doubts and questions in others still. Soon, thousands of Stormtroopers are asking the all important question; "Have you heard?"
    • This is amazing. It starts out amazing, then just keeps on being amazing. The characters, both OC's and canon, are great. The plot is exciting and makes sense. The style of writing is the real star here though. It's fluid and fairy-tale like, which is really interesting, and it's unlike most anything I've seen before. What was unexpected though was the incredible amount of emotion it has and makes you feel. I literally cried at times while reading this fic. It's not ludicrously long yet (and it seems like it very well won't ever grow to novel-length), so I'd advise everyone to give it a go.
  • Notes: Part of the once there was series.

can't drown my demons by plinys

  • Recommended by: Light_shade
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Nine-year-old Ben Solo throws a fit right before he has to leave to train with his uncle. His father comforts him.
  • Comments: This is a very sad, poignant fic in light of what's to come. It also provides a Freudian Excuse for all those tantrums Kylo throws as an adult: it stretches back to his childhood and how he copes with stress.

Episode VIII: Echoes of An Empire by monkehh

  • Recommended by: Pistachioinfernal, AlienofDoom
  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: After the destruction of Starkiller Base, the First Order has regrouped and retreated back into the shadows of the Unknown Regions. The Republic, without a fleet, can no longer patrol the galaxy.
  • Comments: While only the first six chapters are out, this fic shows a lot of promise. Ties in elements from the EU, and spins a compelling and intriguing tale. Spoiler warning for The Force Awakens.
    • AlienofDoom: I 100% second this. There's not a ton yet, but it's very well written and continues off of TFA in an intriguingly new (yet wholly plausible) direction.

forgotten (the scent of spice) by fearformuninn

  • Recommended by: Weasel
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Ben Solo grew up with an illusion claiming to be his grandfather. To a lonely boy desperate to be seen, the power he personified was everything. Now Kylo Ren has grown up. He's seen through the illusion. (But it won't stop haunting him.)
  • Comments: This is a really great take on the question everyone seems to be asking: what would happen if Anakin's Force ghost talked to Kylo Ren? This fic is kind of based on Fialleril's fic don't forget (your bones and skin) (which is also definitely worth a read), but it's a great standalone too. The author has a good grasp on Anakin and a phenomenal grasp on Kylo Ren, probably one of the best I've seen anywhere. This is a short oneshot with impressive emotional range, and worth the time it takes to read.

  • Synopsis: DJ doesn't care if Rose and Finn get caught. DJ doesn't care if he, himself, gets caught. Roundy, however...
  • Comments: This is an adorable and clever short one-shot fic explaining how BB-8 managed to commandeer that AT-ST later on. It involves the lovable but treasonous hacker, DJ and his budding friendship with the droid (whom he calls 'Roundy') and how the scruffy scoundrel may have a glimmer of gold in his heart....giving BB-8 and (by extension) Finn & Rose a fighting chance in the inevitable event that he betrays them. It's actually a very cute story.

Star Wars: War for the Outer Rim by IgnusDei (SpaceBattles thread)

  • Recommended by: Gentlemens Dame 883
  • Status: Dead; last updated 2019
  • Synopsis: Weeks have passed since the destruction of Starkiller Base, but the undaunted First Order presses on with a devastating blitzkrieg against the Outer Rim, taking advantage of the Republic's headlessness, and Rey's journey to persuade Luke to return runs into some snags. In the face of new foes, including the might of the Knights of Ren, salvation might just lie in the hands of old foes and strange new allies. AU of The Last Jedi with Legends and "inspired by" elements.
  • Comments : For those of you that were also left dissatisfied by the Sequel Trilogy, this Troper cannot recommend this fic enough. Right off the bat it begins to correct and revise issues from The Last Jedi onward. The battles are very well written and new characterization is given to both our main protagonists, (Such as the impact living as a poor scavenger for most of her life would leave on Rey, or the extent of indoctrination on First Order Stormtroopers) as well as side characters mostly left out of the movies. New themes and factions are explored, (Such as the almost eldritch like origins of the new Knights of Ren) and the fic is laden with references and outright crossovers from Legends. This all being said, it can be a somewhat difficult read at times as it is written in a script format with incredibly long chapters. It is currently being re-written and revised into Star Wars: The Knights of Ren for a more traditional read.

Star Performer by Gamebird

  • Recommended by: Adept
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Hux builds the Starkiller Base. His journey to finalize his dreams is a long and arduous one.
  • Comments: Many has complained about Hux's character being wasted in the trilogy—particularly his flip-flopping characterization from being a ruthless but competent commander in TFA, to a bumbling clown in TLJ and finally to an inexplicable Mole in TROS. This fic explores the various facets of Hux's personality and, while mostly set before the movies proper, it does help give an insight how the events of the movies may trigger such drastic changes in his responses, based on the characteristics that he already posses.

Kylo Ren needs to Chill (aka my shitty star wars au) by blackalien

  • Recommended by: Madame_Newbie
  • Status: Dormant; last updated October 2017
  • Synopsis: Kylo Ren keeps drunk-dialing Rey. With the Force. She's getting kinda sick of it.
  • Comments: After The Force Awakens, Kylo Ren keeps drunk dialing Rey via the Force. Absolute crack but has surprising depth. Luke is basically a new-age hermit, Rey struggles to become a Jedi, despite Kylo's many interruptions, Finn and Poe are together, while Ghost Anakin and Obi-Wan watches over them.

The Things that Don't Destroy Us and The Ones Who Rebuild Us by PrincessDesire

  • Recommended by: Adept
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis:
    • The Things that Don't Destroy Us: Rey loses her powers when the First Order ship she boarded on without her friends' knowledge is shot down by the Resistance. While recuperating from her injuries and loss of powers, she forms an unexpected bond with the only other survivor of the crash, General Hux.
    • The Ones Who Rebuild Us: Snoke is dead, and Kylo Ren and his knights have gone into hiding. Rey goes on a lone journey to track down the fallen Jedi to either redeem or kill him. But her mission draws her into an increasingly Dark path.
  • Comments: One of the best redemption fic out there, with an insightful exploration of dealing with trauma and other issues. The OCs are well-written, and despite focusing on developing character relationships, the world-building and other additions to the Star Wars lore are interesting as well.

  • Summary: The Star Wars sequel trilogy that we fucking deserved. / Or, the First Order sends Finn to infiltrate the Resistance in the hopes of taking it down from the inside. For Want of a Nail occurs. The first fic Warped Stars is complete, as is the sequel The Stars Walk Backward. The final fic, Made of Stardust is ongoing and updates regularly.
  • Pairing: Finn/Rey, Jessika Pava/Kare Kun,Rose Tico/Slip | FN-2003, Poe Dameron/Zeroes | FN-2000, Paige Tico/Kaydel Ko Connix.
  • Comment: One of the best fix-it series out there. Excellent characterization of everyone but especially Finn, beautifully developed relationships, amazing worldbuilding, and fantastic writing all around. Intriguing, enthralling, compelling, heartfelt, moving. I can't recommend this series enough.

The Waters and the Waters by Margo Kim

  • Recommended by A Splashing Koi
  • Status: Completed
  • Pairing: Finn/Rey
  • Synopsis: Rey made a habit of dreaming. Not always while she slept. Sometimes in the evenings when the work was done, at least for today, and the hunger satiated, at least as much as it ever was, she leaned back against the carcass of her home and unfurled her net. Rey dreams of more than just an ocean, and what she dreams she can't explain.
  • Comments: It's a very poignant character study of Rey, and makes great use of poetic imagery in cutting back and forth between her thoughts during parts of the movie and her time on Jakku. Her feelings for Finn and their relationship are handled subtly but sweetly.

tell me about the big bang by thebrotherswinchester.

  • Recommended by AutisticMermaid
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: There is a part of him that says: you are not human.
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn
  • Comment: One of those fanfics, the ones who garner a lot of attention among the fanbase for how good and emotional they are. Poe is a self-sacrificing idiot who is afraid of having nice things during wartime, Finn is a heroic bastard who won't stand for it, even when he's half-dead from a combo of a gutshot, rapid decompression and bloodloss, and the ending is as lovely as one can expect it to be.
  • It's a brilliant character study into Finn and a heart-rending look at the relationship between him and Poe after The Force Awakens. It's honest, realistic, insightful, a must-read for the fandom, and a necessity for the Stormpilot pairing.

The Time Traveling Pilot by AndreaLyn.

  • Recommended by AutisticMermaid
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: “You can travel, Poe. You can fly through the galaxy back and forth through time. That’s our talent, sweetheart. We navigate the skies and timelines.” When Poe crashes on Jakku, it's both the beginning and the end of his life with Finn, but he intends to make it a good one, seeing as he's been in love with the man for over a decade — now it's just a matter of Finn catching up.
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn
  • Comment: Sometimes, knowing the outcome of a story from the get-go makes the rest of the fic all the more impactful. You will not be disappointed - but you will be sad.

Sehnsucht by jiokra.

  • Recommended by AutisticMermaid
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: Phasma issues to the FN unit refurbished datapads plundered from a demolished Resistance base, which have been refilled with First Order propaganda. Naturally, FN-2187’s datapad malfunctions and resets to its original settings. Before FN-2187 can properly panic over this, a message is sent to him by a Resistance fighter under the code name Black Leader. It’s one simple word: “Status?” FN-2187 wakes up to the orders of committing coldblooded murder and falls asleep to the despair of the dead. He’s one step away from messing up and getting reconditioned. When Black Leader asks how he’s doing, even if the question isn’t intended for him, FN-2187 can’t help himself. He replies, “Alive.”
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn
  • Comment: An AU wherein Finn meets Poe in a slightly different manner, and things go pearshaped at least twice. Mind-wipes are involved. Thankfully ends well for the most part.

Burnout by aslipperysloth

  • Status: Completed
  • Pairing: Poe/Finn
  • Synopsis: Poe crash-lands and is trapped in his X-wing. Finn won't let him go out alone, of course. Not if he can help it. “Keep listening and talking, you’re doing really good.”
  • Comments: If you're looking for a Stormpilot fic that will feel like a stab in the heart while still keeping you engaged, this is the one. The tension comes from Poe, stuck in his X-wing and possibly dying, while Finn does his best to keep him calm while the rescue team tries to find him.

The Future Prince byStar Maple

  • Recommended by AlienofDoom
  • Status: Completed
  • Pairing: Finn/Poe
  • Synopsis: Things have calmed down slightly after the destruction of Starkiller, but the Resistance is always in need of allies. Poe and Finn thus set off on a series of diplomatic talks, and along the way they make a stop at a planet which may tell them more about Finn's past. They've gotten lucky as it turns out that Finn is actually their long lost prince!
  • Comments: It's an interesting premise, and the author does a very good job of bringing the story to life. Even better though is the unique world that they've fleshed out and explain in only a couple thousand words. It's detailed and internally consistent and great.

You Promise Me, My Life by BeautifulLights

  • recommended by morningstar
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairings: Poe/Finn, Rey/Jess
  • Rating: Mature/Explicit
  • Synopsis: Poe is captured and presumed dead until the Resistance receives a transmission of Poe dressed as a TIE-fighter pilot, boasting about having shot down many Resistance fighters. Finn, Rey, Jess, and Kare attempt a rescue mission, but 'home' does not mean 'safe'. Can he be trusted? Can he trust the Resistance again? Will he ever be able to recover?
  • Comments: Breathtaking suspense, emotional depth, original premise. I was on the edge of my seat throughout the story. The love and trust between Poe and Finn, the way Poe breaks down over the course of the story, the ending...well, no spoilers. Highly recommended.

The Moon, the Sun, and the Star Inbetween by Silvershine.

  • Recommended by Brytte Myst
  • Status: Complete.
  • Summary: The Force moves in mysterious ways, and sometimes it even has its own agenda. Rey finds herself caught in a battle with fate that throws her together with Kylo Ren, binding them together in the most powerful way possible... only to have fate drop her like a hot potato. A broken Force Bond isn't the easiest thing to bear, especially when the one you're missing is your sworn enemy and the father of your child. Warning: Parenting: Skywalker Style.
  • Pairing: Reylo
  • Comment: Kind of a deconstruction of the X-made-them-do-it-to-have-a-child fics, which always seem to end once a kid is born, whereas the author is more interested in what comes AFTER the not so happily-ever-after.

Interstellar Transmissions by Lovely Things and ricca riot

  • Recommended by Apocrypha
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairings: Kylo Ren/Rey
  • Rating: Explicit (for graphic descriptions of violence and sex)
  • Synopsis: Rey’s interrogation at the hands of Kylo Ren triggered an awakening in the Force, as well as an unwelcome bond that links them across the galaxy and grows stronger every day. An accidental encounter alerts Supreme Leader Snoke to the existence of this bond and he orders his apprentice to capture the girl and bring her to him. Sometimes it's not the big speeches that redeem people, but the actions you inspire them towards. Former PWP, now full scale adventure.
  • Comments: Interstellar Transmissions explores the repercussions of a Force Bond between two enemies and how it eventually brings them together. It can get dark at times, namely because of Snoke and his attempts to experiment with the Force Bond, but it keeps true to the Star Wars feel and makes sure to have moments of humor, warmth, and hope. While the fic eventually encompasses the whole galaxy, Kylo and Rey's relationship is the focus; it's very much of the "slow burn" type, and the development feels natural and in-character for them both.

Landscape With a Blur of Conquerors by [1] [2]

  • Recommended by Tinidril
  • Status: Complete
  • Pairing: Kylo Ren/Rey
  • Synopsis: When scavenger-turned-Jedi Rey turns out to be a lost heir to the Hapes Consortium, she must adjust to an entirely new set of circumstances. In an effort to keep the galactic peace, while giving the Resistance time to make their move, this includes the prospect of marriage to her worst enemy, Emperor Kylo Ren of the First Order. It's okay though - they both know they can maintain a businesslike distance....right? As the newlyweds find themselves navigating dangers, plots, and complications from every side, their relationship shifts and changes...and for Rey & Kylo, nothing could be more dangerous than falling in love.
  • Comments: Incredibly detailed romance story, with amazingly well told character arcs, and a complex political plot to round it out. Most definitely NSFW, but if you'd rather avoid those scenes, they can be skipped and you will still be able to follow the plot just fine. This is one of the most famous and beloved Reylo fics, for very good reason.

Kama Sutra of the Force (the series) by The Pug Addict

  • recommended by The Taylister
  • Status: Dormant
  • Pairings: Rey/Kylo Ren
  • Rating: Explicit
  • Synopsis: In a galaxy far away, there was more going on than what meets the eye. On the outside, Kylo Ren was simply known as a traitor to the Jedi, a disloyal son, and an apprentice of the Dark Side. This was nothing compared to what he had done in secret. It was an act that few Sith or Jedi had ever dared to attempt, let alone speak of. And it was all thanks to the powers of two force-sensitive sisters, a gruesome curse haunting the Skywalker bloodline, and an encounter with a pretty young refugee from Jakku. Follow a seductive tale of passion, deception, revenge, and lust, and discover the greatest taboo in the galaxy: an act that might uncover an unfathomable secret about the Force itself.
  • Comments: What was once a short, steamy and sweet little ficlet has now transformed into a full-blown erotic series. What's interesting about this fic is that it delves into Kylo's point of view and what he's thinking nearly all the time, so I kind of started seeing him more as a person instead of a typical villain. The overall story and imagery are very twisted with psychological and sexual thriller elements to it, making it all the more interesting to read, even when there isn't a smut scene.

Magpie Syndrome by Clayem

  • Status: Dormant
  • Synopsis: Kylo Ren has many obsessions. But he would have never guessed that his attraction to shiny things would land him in such a mess.
  • Pairing: Rey/Kylo
  • Comments: This is, in my opinion, the legit BEST Reylo fic currently in FanFiction.Net. Rey is not a damsel in distress, Kylo is not a creepy rapey-sounding villain, and there are no clichés usually found in these sorts of fics. It's hilarious, has great plot, and it actually has character development. Do keep in mind that the author is French, and English is not her mother language, so there are some typos. Also, mature jokes, but it'll have you laughing your face off.

  • Pairing: Kylo Ren(Ben Solo)/Rey
  • Comment: This is a really good (and long) fic about some interesting 'what if's. What if Luke and Ben had found Rey on Jakku and taken her to train with the Jedi Order? What if Be and Rey already had a deep connection when he turns to the Dark Side? It also gives a really deep look as to why and how Ben was turned. And, fans of the EU will like all of the characters and cameos the author included from the now scrapped cannon.

  • Summary: Hux follows orders and loses his way. Barricaded in the darkness of Snoke's citadel as part of his final training, Kylo Ren senses a disturbance in the Force: General Hux in great pain, captured and tortured by a faction of radical traitors within the First Order. Ren seeks Snoke's counsel and finds him gone. He knows this is a test, and that he must resist the urge to assist the General. And yet.Under house arrest while Rey and Leia try to decide what to do with him, Ren makes secret preparations for the final destruction of Snoke and writes letters to Hux that receive no response. In prison awaiting sentencing for his war crimes, Hux tries to summon some enthusiasm for his defense against the cries of billions who want him executed.
  • Pairing: Kylo Ren/General Hux

  • Comments: A brilliantly done fic that explores what happens when the realistic outcome follows at the end of a war and a general who ordered four planets to be destroyed has to deal with the magnitude of his crimes. Warning, this is a depressing, angst-filled fic and has a Tear Jerker of an ending.

  • Pairing: Kylo/Hux
  • Synopsis: A hurt/comfort slow-burning fic that is set in the aftermath of the movie. Hux and Kylo slowly learn to tolerate each other and then something more begins to blossom between the two of them as Snoke demotes them and gives them a smaller ship. Also, Kylo ends up sleeping in Hux's coat.
  • Comments: The first of a brilliantly done multi-part series of fics which explores the softer side of a relationship between the two of them without turning either into an OOC mess. Hux comforting Kylo after he's just destroyed a bacta tank in a panic and Kylo carrying Hux suffering from hypothermia in the snow are especially well-done chapters.

  • Synopsis: AU about CEO Hux and Reclusive Artist Ben Solo
  • Comments: Brilliantly done, a masterpiece that transcends being a fanfiction. The story can probably stand alone by itself. Showcased mental illness and how it affects people without any glamour. It is written with love, the right amount of pain and fluff to keep you going. You know that there is a lot of care and heart poured into the work as you read along.

  • Pairing: Rey/Hux
  • Synopsis: AU. Some time during the Battle of Jakku, a stray missile strikes the Imperialis. Armitage Hux escapes the ship, but is stranded in Jakku. Renaming himself "Tag", he grows up to become a scavenger in the desert planet alongside his newfound protege, Rey.
  • Comments: This is certainly a fascinating AU. Free from the First Order influence, Hux grows to become an all-around better—even heroic—person, but manages to retain his haughty, melodramatic and ruthless personality that is not too much of a far cry from his Canon counterpart. His growing relationship with Rey is also done very well, a natural but sweet progression that is neither forced, rushed or sappy—and actually shows her developing the incredible fighting and piloting skills as shown in TFA.

  • Synopsis: AU. Rock star Kylo Ren's latest album is currently the hottest thing on the Internet, and everyone and their mother seems to be singing praises over it. A pair of students from the Arkanis Academy bond over their shared hatred of his music.
  • Comments: Not actually a bashing fic, this story pokes fun at both the problematic aspects of The Last Jedi (and a bit of The Force Awakens) while also lampooning the overzealous reactions of certain fans who writes entire thesis explaining about how the movies suck. Cringe-y emo lyrics included.

  • Summary: Rey is different from Finn; all sharp angles with kinetic energy beneath pale skin, eyes wide enough to take in the sky. A completely different kind of beauty from Finn, but beautiful all the same. Oh no, thinks Poe Dameron, with a sinking realisation.
  • Pairing: Poe Dameron/Finn/Rey
  • Comment: A trilogy of works exploring a developing threesome between the main characters of Force Awakens. Told form the point of view of Poe and a very impressive work. Mentions of Mind Rape and Ptsd. Luke Skywalker features and Kylo Ren is mentioned/discussed.

  • Pairings: Rey/Finn, Finn/Poe, Rey/Finn/Poe, Jessika Pava/Rey
  • Rating: Teen
  • Synopsis: From the author: Finn loves his friends but doesn't have the words for it yet. Rey cares about her friends but is wary of what that might mean. Poe is perfectly aware of everyone's feelings, thank you very much, and doesn't understand why nobody's kissing yet. (BB-8 just wants to get everyone awesome ships to fly around and show off with.) A story about what it means to love, what it means to be able to love, and (a little bit) piloting a spaceship as a metaphor for love.
  • Comments: It's fairly fluffy at times, but it's a nice comforting read. Especially nice is Rey and Jessika's interactions. They come off as very natural together and their sections really shine.
