The Aftermath at Mount Massive by Tien

- Synopsis: Set after the events of the game. Miles and Waylon travel across the country dodging the police, military, and Murkoff security teams as they try to bring the corporation down. Running out of money becomes the least of their concerns. Miles struggles with controlling the Walrider and the separation from his family slowly tears Waylon apart. The Aftermath at Mount Massive picks up right where the game left off with Miles in the asylum. It turns out that living in the now abandoned facility comes with a few problems beyond finding food and water.

- Comments: A novelization of Outlast, but with a rather unusual twist: soon after his first encounter with Chris Walker, Miles encounters and develops a fire-forged friendship with Chara, one of the asylum's "patients." And it works, somehow. The characterization is excellent, the writing is detailed and does a good job at depicting how the events of the game change Miles, and Chara fits into the narrative surprisingly well, though their presence doesn't change the overall plot too much. And the best part is: there's a sequel planned. Just... read it, okay? You won't regret it.

- Comments:Ada's Desire chapter 13 . Aug 28: Dumbledore pulled a pretty sneaky move there using Tonks as a distraction. I have to admit when I first read that Dumbledore had been taken captive I remember thinking to myself that it all seemed a bit too easy. The fact that Dumbledore came up with an ambush strategy just proves my point that Harry, while now extremely powerful, clearly lacks the proper experience to deal with other powerful sorcerers. I think you managed to show that very well so good job with that. So Dumbledore is the secret founder of Murkoff, or if not the founder, is at least a major financial backer. Sounds about right. This raises the question of just what else he's up to. If he's involved with something as corrupt as Murkoff then what other forms of muggle groups is he connected too? The blackmail potential is just screaming to be uncovered..Rapture Columbia chapter 2. Dec 14, 2017:Oh my God! I feel like I've been waiting my whole life for a Harry Potter story with Outlast. I have so many questions like Does this mean that Harry's going to eventually become the new Walrider? Is he going to meet Gluskin? And what about Temple Gate?
