These are recommendations made by tropers for My Hero Academia fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain 'fic.

- Comment: A very good story about the pairing, with an interesting characterization of a female Shinsou and his relationship with Izuku. Nothing serious, pure fluff.

- Synopsis: Shouto barely has any experience with friends, so having a crush on his best friend was not something he was prepared for. He's fallen hard, and he's awkward and unsure what to make of his feelings, or how to act on them. It doesn't help that he and Izuku seem caught on the delicate line between friends and romance, and Shouto more than anything doesn't want to ruin their friendship.

- Comments: The best tododeku fic I've ever read, period. The characterizations are spot-on, and Shouto and Deku's relationship is both heart-wrenching and adorable.

This fic features a well-developed and believable relationship between the two that leads to both character development and a satisfying dynamic. A brilliantly well-written fic, chock-full of imagery, that should be the standard all fanfic aspires to be.

As Izuku is pulled deeper into the world of heroes he becomes entangled in a century old battle between brothers. Here some enemies are closer than he realizes and not everyone can be saved so easily.

- Comments: Not, in fact, smut (Though it is Lemon). Despite what the title implies, a lot more than sex takes place in this interesting psychological and character-driven story.

- Comments: A very, very sweet Alternate Universe (no Quirks) coming of age story for both Todoroki and Yaoyorozu (who are platonic-life-partners/childhood-friends in this fic). The romance that blooms over the summer is very well-written, as is their individual arcs.

- Synopsis: It never takes too long. Midoriya Izuku has finally transferred into the hero course at U.A. High School after he moved away. The only problem is he's quirkless.

- Comments: Not for the faint of heart due to the Downer Beginning. You will need some tissues and may find yourself getting mad at Shinsou, Iida, Yaoyorozu, and Todoroki due to these characters getting an Adaptational Villainy treatment by the author for a majority of the story. Despite it all, it's well-written. Even if you don't fancy Midoriya/Bakugo, it's worth a read.

Meanwhile Izuku knows something upset Todoroki and he wants to fix it. If only Todoroki would talk to him again.

Loosely slow-burn since while there's only 5 chapters, the characters are actually going through long periods of time between them so it reads like snapshots.

So being in love with izuku, naturally she would try to use her hands. But izuku… he couldn't handle that. Couldn't handle words all that well either.
So what is Hatsume to do? No hands, no words. Well… maybe a gesture could start him on the way? And from there, maybe he could learn something new.

- Comments: A must read for anybody who likes the Izuku/Tsuyu pairing. Even if it's still just lineart, the artist managed to capture the manga's style perfectly, as well as draw Tsuyu as really adorable while keeping her faithful to her nonstandard design. Short but sweet story with plenty of funny moments (especially Mina and Tooru as Date Peepers and Shipper on Deck) and W.A.F.F..

- Synopsis: When Midoriya Izuku was 4 his quirk finally manifested. The doctor named it psychokinesis, but his friend Bakugou Katsuki called it worthless. For the next 10 years, Izuku would grow up bullied and isolated. Then, when a new student named Uraraka Ochako transfers into his class the last year of jr high, everything changes.
- Comments: Izuku with a Quirk and meeting Ochako earlier than canon might not be the most original of premises, but this story makes up for an almost flawless execution. The story takes its time to build up Izuku and Ochako's friendship, which have a lot of adorable moments together. It also avoids one of the most annoying Fandom-Specific Plot by not only bringing Shinso into the Hero Course without kicking Mineta out, but the story also makes Shinso actually work for his spot rather than handing it to him with no string attached. Among other interesting changes, it also features Toga as a hero, done in a way that makes sense while keeping true to her personality so she doesn't feel like an OC in all but name. If you want a good IzuOcha story that's well written and uses interesting ideas, this fanfic is for you.

It was only after their fight at Ground Beta that every illusion he had about his relationship with Bakugou Katsuki crumbled beneath his feet, leaving only the cold, harsh truth behind: Bakugou may have been his childhood friend first, but he was his bully for much longer. Naturally, everything changed after that. The nickname 'Kacchan' became a distant memory, just a reminder of everything that Bakugou had ever done to him, and Izuku was finally ready to move on. He even managed to convince himself that he didn't care that Bakugou never apologised. That he was fine. And then he got hit by a quirk which bound him to Bakugou, and suddenly things got a whole lot more complicated.

- Comments: A very well written fic with aged-up characters, showing that Class 1-A joined to form an Agency after graduation. Focuses on Shoto and Momo's developing feelings for each other, as they support each other through several hardships, many of which end up being interesting topics, such as Momo's shame upon being heavily sexualized and Shoto having to face the things which made him who he is now. Overall, the author does a nice job with characterization and how the events unfold.

Short answer: No. But they'll work it out. OR, Tsuyu and Ochako struggle to cope with their feelings for Izuku, who is completely oblivious. But what will happen when they realize this massive dork has a bigger heart than you'd expect?

- Comments: Izuku is the son of Sekijirou Kan (better known as Vlad King) and Inko Midoriya, and he has a Quirk, Blood Control, which works on anyone's blood. This causes him to be ostracized from his peers because Bakugou bullies him worse than ever, claiming Blood Control is a villain's Quirk, leaving him with many personal issues. Only one person of his age, Ochako Uraraka, has ever believed in him, and by the time he applies for U.A. he has not seen her in more on a decade, but still he is impulsed by his promise to become a hero - only to meet Ochako, now a beautiful girl with a succubus Quirk, ready to follow her own promise to become a hero and the memory of the one boy that ever believed in her in her mind.
- Stories with Quirk!Izuku are many. Stories where he meets Ochako before going to U.A., not so many. Stories where Ochako's Quirk is not Zero Gravity, few. Having Himiko Toga as not only a hero, but also Ochako's best non-Deku friend? Gimme.

But green-haired boys aren't the only thing rapidly becoming important to her...
- Comments: Slow burn, but it updates regularly (anywhere between once a week and daily, from what I've seen) and with a consistently high quality of writing. Notable for having a natural-feeling progression of friendship to a polyamorous triad, with plenty of fluff along the way. Izuku has an interesting alt!quirk, but it's not the main focus of the fic - in fact, if I have one complaint and the fic, it's that the author touches on a lot of interesting ideas that aren't fully explored because she wants to keep it focused. She seems happy to discuss stuff in comments, though.
