Proof that the remaining 10% is worth dying and going to Hell for here.

These are recommendations made by tropers for Lucifer fanfics, all of which have to be signed to stay on the page. After a few samples, you will be able to note the interests of the tropers recommending them, and judge whether you might be also interested in a certain 'fic.

Feel free to add a fanfic of your own to the list, but remember to use the template found here. Do warn when a fanfic may head into sexual or non-canon territory. Some people just don't like it, and as we all know, Shipping is Serious Business.

General Fics

My Friendly Monster by Mia Vaan (alternate link here.)

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Lucifer believes he's a monster. Trixie has another opinion. Or: How Trixie (and everyone else) found out that Lucifer is the Devil.
  • Comments: An adorable fic which begins with the surprisingly rare premise of Trixie discovering Lucifer's identity, which is then followed by Chloe, Dan and Ella finding out. More of a series of oneshots than an actual story, but worth it. And while there are hints in the earlier chapters, it only becomes full on Deckerstar in the final chapter.

Devil's Bargain by WolftheForsaken

  • Recommended by: Crayshack
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: Trixie gets kidnapped. Lucifer disapproves.
  • Comments: This fic gives you a good taste of the kind of power Lucifer could command if he wished to.

Shipping Fics

There's No Music in Hell by Solo's Falcon (alternate link here.)

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: The murder of a priest leads detective Chloe Decker to a secluded abbey to investigate. Having Lucifer as her partner proves to be both an asset and a liability. But keeping him on a leash is not her biggest problem. Dealing with her growing attraction towards him is. While they struggle with their feelings, a threat lurks in the shadows determined to bring the Devil to his knees.
  • Comments: Great characterization with an intriguing plot. Definitely worth a read.

In Sickness and Hell by BurningUpASunJustToSayHello

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Sickness never bothered Lucifer until it got ahold of Chloe.
  • Comments: A story with a simple premise, but packs a punch. Well-written with a lot of emotionally depth, and Lucifer is especially on point.
    • This was written before season 2 was released, so can be seen as an AU. There's also slow updates, but it's totally worth it.

Come Hell Or High Water by BecomeMyObsession

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Getting married to the Devil is never a good idea. Pseudo marriage or not. Chloe learns the truth the hard way.
  • Comments: Pretty much exactly what it says on the tin. Chloe and Lucifer have to pretend to get married in order to solve a case, and it leads to a lot of complications. In-character and well-written.

The Devil's Trap series by ElenaCee

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: Chloe finds out about Lucifer, and they end up together; it was, after all, the will of God. Now that the Devil and the cop are a team in mutual possession of all the facts, what will change and what won't?
  • Comments: A series of stories written to prove that Lucifer and Chloe as a couple would still be interesting (i.e. not get boring or kill the show), and boy do they deliver. There's enough angst/hurt/comfort to keep things going, but it's mostly fluff.

Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea by spirantization

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Ongoing
  • Synopsis: Post-Season 3 continuation, picks up where "A Devil of My Word" left off. A series of oneshots.
  • Comments: This is so in character and structured so much like the show that you'd think this is an official continuation.

It's Only Me by mishasan7

  • Recommended by: Corgi
  • Status: Complete (9 chapters)
  • Synopsis: After the explosive conclusion of S3:E24 "A Devil of My Word", Chloe Decker, Lucifer Morningstar and 'the Tribe' have to deal with Chloe's realisation of the truth about Lucifer, the truth about how she feels about Lucifer, and the possibly deadly fallout of Cain's machinations.
  • Pairings: Chloe/Lucifer, slight Linda/Amenadiel, past-tense Charlotte/Dan, Mazikeen & Trixie, Lucifer & Ella
  • Tags: Identity Reveal, Chloe Decker Finds Out, Blood and Gore, Angst, Humor, Feels, Post-Season/Series 03 Finale, Canon Compliant as much as possible, Chloe is a badass, CSI-ish, Slow Burn, Violence, Swearing, Maze is a badass, Trixie has good influences, Angelic badassery, Amenadiel is the MVP, Grief/Mourning, Romance, Action & Romance, Wing Flirting
  • Warnings: Dead bodies, Mazikeen work, bullet removal, threatened child; last chapter is very consentual and quite NSFW.

Castaway by Ariaadagio

  • Recommended by: Corgi
  • Status: Complete (26 chapters)
  • Synopsis: The Devil is real. A sentence Chloe Decker never believed until Lucifer Morningstar burned out her skepticism with his hellfire eyes. It's a "Hell" of a reality shift, but Chloe realizes she may not have time for gradual acceptance when she discovers that one of the bodies in her most recent murder investigation isn't human. Worse still, the next target might be Lucifer. A story that begs the question: who prays for Satan? [Post-S3 finale continuation. Deckerstar.].
  • Pairings: Chloe/Lucifer, Lucifer & Trixie, Mazikeen & Lucifer, Chloe Decker & Mazikeen, Chloe Decker & Ella Lopez & Linda Martin & Mazikeen, Chloe Decker & [spoiler]

Beginner's Guide to Caring for Your Fallen Angel by SueBob99

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Could caring for a fallen angel be for you? Fallen Angels can be a trying bunch. Anyone dealing with one on a daily basis is probably in over their heads. Luckily there's this guide to help...
  • Comments: Short, sweet, and utterly hilarious. Also has a follow-up, Fallen Angel Handout J: And Now...He’s Naked! Coping with Unprompted Nudity (Complete).

The Devil Loves to Knit by Antarctic_Echoes

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete stories, Dormant series
  • Synopsis: Lucifer tries his hand at knitting.
  • Comments: Fits more into Humor than Shipping, even if it does focus somewhat on Deckerstar, because the enjoyment of this series comes from how hard it can make you laugh. Not only is Lucifer knitting, but he also ends up adopting a penguin (and later a sea otter) which pairs off with a cat, and Lucifer buys a house for them. Yep, it's that kind of story, but it's so enjoyable that you don't even care about the silliness. And it never goes too far; you can still imagine it happening. Overall, an enjoyable fic that's guaranteed to bring a smile to your face.

Bloody Autocorrect! by Antarctic_Echoes & Mia Vaan

  • Recommended by: Tiggerific
  • Status: Complete
  • Synopsis: Lucifer tries to tell Chloe how he feels. Too bad his phone won't let him. A story told in a series of texts.
  • Comments: Lucifer's hilarious battle with autocorrect will have you rolling on the floor with laughter.
