- The author's style is very well-written, but what stands out is the fact that he/she sets most of the one-shots in real time, and many of her stories take place from just a couple of years to full decades after the original series, and often depict a very true-to-life struggle of bands that have long since past their glory days. Stories range from typical humor to very dark slice-of-life, and mainly focus on the Misfits (though there are some Hologram fics as well). Also has a fantastic Jem/G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero crossover starring Clash.

- Fancomic crossover between Doctor Who and Jem and the Holograms.
- Now has a trope list on the page for Rich's ComixBlog.
- Synopsis: Set after the last episode of Jem, the Sixth Doctor takes his companion Mel to see a Holograms concert. While the Doctor and Mel investigate Jerrica Benton and her hologram technology, Eric Raymond and Techrat set their sights on the Doctor and his TARDIS...and Synergy's power source. This fic is also an unofficial Fully Absorbed Finale for Jem.

- Comments: I haven't actually read the entire comic, but it looks interesting, well-written, and the art is quite good. I placed the link here to get it off the main page.
- Dynamite XI: It's written by the same guy who wrote The 10 Doctors, so you know it has to be good. It helps to know a bit about Jem and its characters before reading, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable—Jem fans will enjoy seeing these characters off, and Whovians will enjoy the good writing that Colin Baker and Bonnie Langford deserved during their tenures.
How Stormer Got Her Groove Back by LJC

- Synopsis: When Kimber finds out Eric is using a clause in Stormer's contract to allow other bands to record her music without her knowledge, she and Stormer hatch a plan to get Riot to amend Stormer's contract.
- Pairing(s): Stormer/Riot in the end, but it's not the primary focus
- Comments: I always adored Stormer on the original show, especially her friendship with Kimber, so the initial plan they hatched to outwit Eric is a delight. But the real surprise of this fic was their unlikely ally. I don't have fond memories of Riot from the original show, but his characterization here changed my mind and got me curious to review Season 3 again. His flirtation with Stormer - and his refusal to sugar-coat things while still pushing her to fight for herself - is fascinating and made me buy into a potential pairing that I would never have come up with on my own. The ending is great fun to read and this is a fic I find myself coming back to every so often to reread. There's an unfinished sequel, Painted Blind which is equally good so far, although more focused on Stormer and Riot's relationship.

- Synopsis: Sixteen years have passed since The Holograms have disbanded. Rebellious sixteen year old Pilar Jacqui Pacheco lives with her mother Jerrica in New York City. Sent to live with her father Rio in L.A., Pilar attends a performing arts school where her peers do not accept her. That all changes when she enters a music contest in disguise as pop singer Jax and fronts her own band Starlight.
- Comments: A great fic that introduces new characters as well as featuring most of the original characters from the series for good or bad.
Our Time Is Now and its sequel The Ripple Effect by aja

- Synopsis: A continuation on the brilliant series, revolving around the personal reasons why Jerrica chose to create Jem, and the consequences.
- Pairings: Jem/Jerrica/Rio, Danse/Video by the sequel, very implied Eric/Pizzazz
- Comments: Cannot recommend this series to fans of the original show enough. Picks up immediately where the show left off and virtually no changes to the original show are made, most notably kept is the truce between the Holograms and the Misfits. The story is Darker and Edgier, and while the darker transition is jarring (and believe me, it gets dark at points in this fic), the fic as a whole feels so natural it might as well be canon. The writing has a few bumps, but is otherwise executed perfectly. Major characters make appearances, as well as a few minor characters including Clash, who becomes much more important as the story goes on. In short, if you're looking for a well done continuation of the series, these two fics are exactly what you need.
- Note: The first fic is finished, but the second remains incomplete. However, the story seems to be at its end despite the abrupt finish, and should satisfy until the author decides whether or not to update.

- Synopsis: Misfits-centric femmeslash. Clash returns to reconcile with the group, but she's not the only one suffering from insecurity.
- Pairing(s): Clash/Roxy, Roxy/Pizzazz, hinted Stormer/Kimber.
- Comments: A very well-done one shot that portrays nicely what would happen if Clash crawled back to the Misfits. Has slight mature themes.
A Song of Grumbling & Cotton Candy by Ladyof Harrenhal

- Synopsis: Pizzazz finds herself creatively drained and wandering, until one drunk-go at crashing a charity auction forces her to spend some quality time with her biggest enemy: Jem.
- Pairing(s): Jem/Jerrica/Pizzazz
- Comments: Consists of merged elements from the cartoon and the comic, as well as heavy mature content and some weird elements, but darn my socks if it isn't super entertaining. Pizzazz is presented in a totally different but interesting light, and the pairing works shockingly well. Hasn't updated in a while, so the future is up in the air.
