- Adaptation Expansion: In canon the only things known about Pelter/Stefanie Lamana are her names and that she died during the Leviathan fight. Here she survives, becomes a recurring character, and joins Taylor and Rachel’s team.
- Adaptation Name Change: In this fic Taylor goes by Arachne instead of Skitter.
- Adaptational Badass: In canon Charlotte and Greg Veder were normal humans here they are parahumans the former being a trump and the latter being a tinker.
- Adaptational Sexuality: In canon both Taylor and Rachel are straight. Here they are bisexual and gay respectively.
- Battle Couple:
- Arachne and Bitch.
- Parian and Flechette like canon.
- Death by Adaptation: During the battle with Behemoth a lot of people died, quite a few either survived canon worm or died at a latter time.

- Defecting for Love: Bitch leaves the Undersiders to be with Arachne.
- Idealized Sex: Subverted; when Taylor and Rachel have sex for the first time it is described as having been awkward and strange. This is to be expected since Taylor was a virgin and Rachel only had sex once before.Taylor: “It had been awkward. It had been strange. I hadn’t known what I was doing, and I was pretty sure that I could do better next time—”
- The Immodest Orgasm: After Taylor and Rachel are done having sex for the first time Taylor mentions that they made a lot of noise.
- Spared By Adaptation: In canon Pelter/Stefanie dies during the Endbringer fight, here she lives and becomes a recurring character.
- Super Empowering: After triggering Charlotte/Amp can do this.
- Their First Time: Taylor and Rachel in Bark 2.4.
- Title Drop: Wolf Spider gets used in Rabid 4-A as a ship name for Arachne and Bitch when it’s found out they're in a relationship.
- Violently Protective Girlfriend: Arachne/Taylor and Bitch/Rachel are this to each other, with Rachel being the more aggressive.
