.After her 18th birthday Rainbow Dash finally applies to join the Wonderbolts, after getting caught in a thunderstorm while attempting to pull off a stunt, she wakes up in the hospital where Twilight is watching over her. The two work together to pull off a trick that surpasses the Rainboom, after an explosion that sends both of them to the hospital, they begin to realize they might be more than just friends.

- Adaptational Badass: Spitfire, while already a skilled flyer, pulls off a Sonic Rainboom. Some thing she has never managed to do in canon.
- Adaptational Jerkass: Rarity is somewhat more meaner here, she sprays Rainbow Dash with a hose before letting her inside the boutique.
- First-Person Perspective: The story is told through Rainbow’s point of view.
- Madeof Iron: Spike despite the fact he was at ground zero when the Rainbow Liquid exploded, has little to no injuries.
