Toon Zone Wrestling is a crossover wrestling fanfiction created by KingFezProductions on DeviantArt. Described as a "CAW League in text", it features fictional characters and celebrities as its wrestlers. The league began in the summer of 2017, and after a hiatus, has returned with semi-regular updates as of May 2019.

Toon Zone Wrestling can be found on KingFezProductions' DeviantArt gallery here.

Toon Zone Wrestling contains examples of:

  • Actor Allusion: Both of Garnet's entrance songs, "Make Her Say (Beat It Up)" and "Conqueror", are songs by her voice actress, Estelle.
  • All-American Face: Sister America wants to be this.
  • Animated Actors
  • Author Appeal: In-Universe, the entire reason for the company's existence. Williams made his money in cartoons and games, and wanted to be a wrestling promoter.
    • Also why Jimmy Buffett was hired: Mr. Williams is a parrothead.
  • Author Avatar: Mr. Williams, TZW's owner and head booker. Brandon used to be this, as the star of Mr. Williams' first show, Cabin Bunch.
  • Bash Brothers: Most tag teams, but Finn and Jake, Adventure Time, and Rainbow Dash and Inkling, the Spectrum Warriors, really exemplify this.
  • Bilingual Bonus: Much like in canon, Pablo Sanchez only speaks Spanish.
  • Combat Commentator: As is typical of professional wrestling. This league's are Sunny Day and EpicLLOYD.
  • Enforced Plug: As acknowledged in TZW: A Concern In The Locker Room, TZW's deal with Tervis cups requires one advert per show between PPV 1 and Barfight.
  • Advertisement:
  • Expospeak Gag: On "Friday Night Fight 1-7", Valentine refers to Bubbles as "a homunculus made of sucrose, capsaicin, dopamine, and a reactive bio-agent,", or more simply: sugar, spice, everything nice, and Chemical X.
  • Garbage Wrestler: The staple of wrestlers in the Hardcore division, like Kenny and Plunderbird.
  • Gimmick Matches: TZW features a few originals:
    • Mayhem: A triple-threat, one-fall contest where weapons are scattered around ringside, and competitors enter carrying a Weapon of Choice. First used to find contenders, and later crown, the first TZW Hardcore Champion.
  • Massive Multiplayer Crossover: The point of TZW.
  • Non-Mammal Mammaries: Discussed on "Friday Night Fight 1-6". During a match where Undyne cosplays as Kenshiro, complete with emulating the latter's Big Dipper birthmark on athletic tape, Lloyd questions if she even needs the tape, being a fish woman. Sunny is also unsure, but decides they're erring on the side of caution.

  • Odd Friendship: Chara and Eric Sparrow, who comprise the tag team The Hatebreed; Rainbow Dash and Inkling, the Spectrum Warriors; and Elan and Jimmy Buffett, known as The Captain and The Kid.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Dipper Pines, as he is in canon. His actual name Mason has only been said once on-air, and that was in a backstage segment.
    • The Miis names are also never said, and aren't given on their bio, unlike Dipper.
    • "Templar" is also technically a title rather than a name, although he himself is unaware of what his name actually is.
  • On The Next Episode Of Catch Phrase: Vague TZW time, same TZW gallery!
  • Parts Unknown: Played with. Some characters are announced from their actual (fictional) hometowns, which are real locations in this world, e.g. Undyne is billed from Waterfall, Bubbles is billed from Townsville, Stan and Kenny are from South Park, etc. Played straight with Eddie the Head, who's billed from Somewhere In Time.
    • Averted in the case of Rainbow Dash and Rarity, who are billed from Vancouver, British Columbia note  and Atlantic City, New Jersey note , respectively.
  • Precision F-Strike: Sunny, usually a consummate professional, had this to say after seeing Woolie's "Gun To Your Head" interview segment:
    What the fuck was that.
  • Production Throwback: Brandon is this In-Universe, being the star of Mr. Williams' previous show.
  • Pro Wrestling Is Real
  • Real Life Writes the Plot: The year-and-a-half wait for PPV 1's release was acknowledged In-Universe as a Creator Breakdown for Mr. Williams.
  • Real Song Theme Tune: A majority of wrestlers have these, the exceptions being Undyne, Templar, Valentine, The Miis, and Pablo, who have music from their games of origin.
  • Signing-Off Catchphrase: Sunny Day ends broadcasts with, "For TZW and Epic LLOYD, I'm Sunny Day, and good night!"
  • Shout-Out:
    • During the first Alt Week, Finn and Jake dressed up as Steven and Rick, respectively; Blue Mii imitated Boxing Matt, and Undyne cosplayed as Kenshiro.
  • Shown Their Work:
    • The Robot Wars competitors are given their actual hometowns and weights in their profiles. Their "last names" are those of their roboteers.
    • Valentine's first name is given as Valerie in her profile, her actual name according to Alex Ahad.
  • Talk Show with Fists: Rarity hosts one, "La Boutique".
  • Time Skip: Occurs after the hiatus.
  • Tournament Arc: Two were the predominant storylines leading up to the first "pay-per-view", PPV 1, one for the TZW Championship, and one for the Women's Championship. They were won by Woolie and Garnet respectively.
  • Weird Crossover: This occurs due to Mr. Williams hiring talent based on their popularity with him or the public. So, we have matches between a bard from a D&D-themed webcomic and an aging yacht-rocker, the rival from a skateboarding game and an NFL quarterback, and a fish woman and the personification of American stereotypes; and a title feud between a Canadian gaming YouTuber, an English fighting robot, and kid from Colorado.
  • What Measure Is a Non-Human?: Discussed on "Friday Night Fight 1-7". Valentine points out that Bubbles isn't human, but is rather made of sugar, spice, everything nice, and Chemical X. She then draws attention to Bubbles' Fingerless Hands and her own large chest. Of course, this is mostly an attempt to convince Bubbles to join forces with her.

How well does it match the trope?
