The UA Girls is a My Hero Academia fanfic written by Epsilon110, writer of Total Command.

The fic centers around a groupchat between, originally, five of the six girls from class 1-A trying to find out who Ochako was crushing on. From there, it devolves into hilarity as one by one the other girls start falling for a certain green-haired cinnamon roll and we start getting glimpses of other people with a similar goal.

This fanfic provides examples of:

• Adaptation Relationship Overhaul: In canon, the girls all had a, while not friendly, amicable relationship with Bakugo, respecting him for his strength, tolerating his outbursts of anger, and considering him a true companion, with Kyoka and Momo in particular growing closer to him via the band for the Culture Festival. Here, it's revealed that said canonical relationship is pure façade for the sake of not having to deal with his Hair-Trigger Temper, and in reality they all secretly despise him for his jerkassery and treatment of Midoriya, regularly refer to him as Baka-go when talking about him, and barely tolerate his presence. Kyoka at one point even says she and Momo need to constantly act like he's the greatest during band practice just so he'll still be on drums, and that doing so leaves her feeling gross. Mina meanwhile actually changes the channels name to "Real baku hating hours" once when Tsuyu was in a bad mood and wanted to complain about him.
• Adaptational Sexuality: Downplayed. Canon wise, Shoto's sexuality is unspecified. Here, he is explicitly asexual, having gone to Momo to ask her if it was normal that he felt no sexual attraction to anyone. This ends up depressing Toru when she learns since she had a minor crush on him before then.
• Adults Are Useless: Played with in regards to Aizawa and Toshinori concerning Bakugo's behavior against Izuku. The girls bring up that Bakugo tried to murder (or at least assault) Izuku on the very first day, yet somehow wasn't expelled. It takes Miruko pointing out Bakugo punching Izuku in the finals to Midnight for steps to be taken about it. The reasoning for the two's behavior though makes clear that neither understood how bad it really was. Aizawa had misinterpreted the relationship thinking they were equally at fault when in reality Bakugo was the instigator, while Nezu realizes Toshinori ended up overlooking it in an effort to try being unbiased. He rectifies this by giving Aizawa a lecture on the "pecking order", and assigning Nejire to be Toshi's TA.
• Age Lift: Everyone is three years older, presumably making U.A. a university rather than a high school.
• All Women Are Lustful: All of the women that have appeared so far, sans Recovery Girl, are thirsty for Midoriya.
• Appliance Defenestration: A variation. Rather than anger, Izuku throws his phone out the window in shock when Shoto asks if he's okay marrying Fuyumi.
• Brutal Honesty: Mei. The other girls dance around their feelings for Izuku for a while. Mei? Not so much.
  Mina: How do you feel about Izuku?
  Mei: Imma fuck him!
• Cassandra Truth: When Monoma says in the boys 1-B chat that he noticed the girls in 1-A are pretty much a harem for Izuku, the others think he's just being salty that Izuku flicked him away when he tried to copy Izuku's Quirk.
• Clueless Chick-Magnet: Izuku has no idea that over a dozen women are romantically and/or sexually interested in him.
• Comically Small Bribe: Ochako offers Iida a can of Pringles if he kicks Shoto in the ribs. He immediately accepts.
• Cool and Unusual Punishment: After realizing that Toshinori overlooking Bakugo's treatment of Izuku was due to trying to be unbiased, Nedzu decides to assign Toshinori a Teacher's Assistant. His choice? Nejire Hado. Specifically cause he knows she'll bombard Toshinori with constant "why?"'s at every decision he makes, hoping it will get Toshinori to stop and think about his choices more thoroughly rather than do something stupid by accident.
• Deadpan Snarker: Mei, of all people, does this when Fuyumi begs her to make Shoto's hero costume something less fashion-disaster like.
  TechnoMei: Can’t do that level of miracle, sorry.
• Didn't Think This Through: Aizawa and Toshinori's main flaw in regards to dealing with Bakugo's treatment of Izuku. Both of them noticed the relationship, but their methods of "handling it" were not that well thought out. Aizawa thought it was just them being immature teenagers and both at fault, when Bakugo was actually the instigator and Izuku the victim. Toshinori meanwhile refrained from stepping in out of fear it would make him look biased towards Izuku, making him willfully ignorant of what would normally be signs of their toxic relationship.
• Eating the Eye Candy: All the girls are very happy that Mei reworked Izuku's hero costume to be tighter fitting on him.
• Embarrassing Cover Up: When the girls decide to invite Fuyumi to their chat, Momo decides to get her contact information from Shoto by claiming she needs help buying tampons. Besides a quick question of why she doesn't just make some, Shoto hands over the info.
• Entertainingly Wrong:
  • When the girls catch Setsuna flirting with Izuku, they try to brush it off as her being The Tease and trying to get a reaction out of him. The 1-B chat reveals she was entirely serious though, revealing all the girls in 1-B, with the possible exception of Ibara, have feelings for him, and that all but Itsuka are planning on kidnaping him.
  • When Miruko comments on Izuku's costume, she wonders if the "bunny ears" in the hood are a homage to her, when they are actually a homage to All Might's hairstyle.
• Everyone Is Bi: Or at least, the girls are. On top of them all having a crush on Midoriya, more than once each has mentioned being attracted to at least one of the other girls in the chat.
• Gone Horribly Right: Mina had established the group chat just for the sake of finding out who Ochako was crushing on. As the girls figure out it's Izuku and they investigate him, they fall in love with him.
• Heroic BSoD: When Mina hugs Izuku from behind, Izuku freezes up so much that Iida is able to pick him up and carry him to his room without Izuku changing posture.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: Or better said, Best Friends, considering Shoto's Asexuality. But the dynamic is the same and it's how the friendship between Iida, Izuku and Shoto is touchingly portrayed. For a fic that almost everything is Played for Laughs, it's actually oddly heartwarming seeing these three boys interact with each other in their own personal chat. For varying reasons each of these boys come off as socially awkward at first glance, but when interacting with each other they show themselves to be a lot more at ease, casual and playful with each other.
• I Am the Noun: When asked how rich she is, Momo says she is the economy.
• In Love with Your Carnage: Played for Laughs, but still very present among Midoriya's admirers is the fact they seem to consider him to be at his sexiest either when showing just how capable he is or just how absolutely feral he becomes in the middle of battle.
  • Both Tsuyu and Momo show very open admiration when remembering just how incredibly capable Midoriya was under pressure and how he was pivotal during the U.S.J. Incident and Kamino.
  • Kyoka outright calls him "metal" when talking about the fact that he's 100% willing to push himself beyond all reason while using a Quirk whose backlash means broken bones. When Ochako reveals to the other girls how they met (AKA Izuku saving Ochako from the Zero-Pointer) Kyoka once again states that said action is "very metal. So yes, very Izuku".
  • Mirko outright admits that she grew weak in the knees witnessing Izuku throw Shoto around during their fight in the Sports Festival, and Ryukyu points out in great admiration that during their fight against Shie Hassaikai Midoriya's improvement was like day and night compared to how he used to be.
  • ALL of the 1-A girls are left in absolute Stunned Silence when Tsuyu reveals to them it was Izuku who defeated Muscular during the Training Camp.
• I Want Grandkids: Endeavor. To the point of pestering Shoto to give him Izuku's number so he can set him up with Fuyumi.
• Mistaken for Romance: When Mina brings up how she thought Kyoka had feelings for Kaminari, it sends Kyoka into a laughing fit before she clarifies she sees him more like a brother, hence why she teases him all the time.
• Mood-Swinger: Suggested by Fuyumi who is shocked to learn "Midoriya" (aka the feral boy Shoto fought in the Sports Festival) and "Izuku" (the total sweetheart he tells her about) are the same person. Upon joining the chat, she emphasizes how amazing his range is.
• My God, You Are Serious!: When Tsuyu jokes that the reason Ochako hasn't confessed to Izuku yet is because she was afraid that her feelings would get in the way of their studying, only for Ochako to reveal that that was exactly the reason, which prompts a You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me! from Tsuyu (see below).
• My Significance Sense Is Tingling: When the female heroes begin to discuss how much they want to jump Izuku's bones, he begins to get the feeling of predators being after him.
• Once Done, Never Forgotten:
  • Played for Laughs with Momo. She confesses to the other girls that early on she didn't think much of Izuku, thinking he was 'wishy-washy' the first few weeks. Of course, the other girls don't let her live it down.
  • Izuku breaking his own bones is regularly brought up by his friends, even after he has taken steps to avoid doing it again.
  • Bakugo's attacks against Midoriya are also regularly brought up by the girls, with all of them feeling righteously angry at the explosive blond.
• Pervert Revenge Mode: When Kyouka brings up Bakugo's "He'll be fine as long as he dodges", Momo states she's going to repeat that line while shooting Mineta with a cannon.
• Playful Hacker: Mei hacks into the girls' chat since they didn't think to invite her.
• Power Perversion Potential: After Ochako confesses she had never considered her Quirk could be used for lewd purposes^note Nejire asked her to use it on her and Izuku for some Zero-G Spot, the other girls in the chat quickly said they couldn't relate to that, with the exception of Kyoka who, until recently, hadn't considered it either.
  Girly Gravity: Wow I never thought my quirk would be used lewdly
  Momo Yaoyorozu: Can't relate
  Invisialign: Can't relate
  Alien Queen: Can't relate
  Froppy: Cannot relate
  Dom: You need to see what I can do with these spirals, Ocha-chan

• Running Gag:
  • The girls being perverted.
  • Kyoka using Momo's name in the place of God.
  • A character (usually female) declaring some variation of "I have needs."
• Shout-Out: Many.
  • After Nejire is nicknamed Dom in the chat, she starts making family jokes.
  • Midnight quotes Invincible (2021) in the pro heroine chat.
  • The aftermath of Nezu lecturing Aizawa draws several references to Abridged Mr. Popo. Aizawa is left in a traumatized state while screaming "SECOND POINT OF NEZU'S LECTURE" and "pecking order". Nezu later mentions that Recovery Girl is second on the pecking order, and when Midnight asks her why she isn't afraid of him.
    Recovery Girl: No one messes with the White Mage.
• Sucky School: UA. In Midnight's words during a conversation with Mandalay:
  Momdalay: When do you UA staff even teach these students?
  Chloroform: That's the neat part
  Chloroform: We don't
  • In the chat, the 1-A girls realize that not one of their teachers ever did anything to teach Izuku how not to destroy himself beyond "stop".
• Super Window Jump: Ochako jumps out her own window to avoid the other girls trying to storm her room to hug her. Unfortunately, in her panic she forgot to remove the mittens she wears to prevent her Quirk from activating in her sleep, but Izuku snaps to her rescue and catches her.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Iida loves Pringles, which he admits clogs his engines but it doesn't stop him from eating them. Offer him a can and you can get him to do anything for you, as Ochako proved when she gave him a can to kick Shoto in the ribs.
• Unkempt Beauty: A candid photo of Fuyumi laying on the floor in casual clothing after work is enough for Ochako to finally admit she's bisexual.
• Unusual Euphemism: After Momo says she is the economy, Nejire jokingly suggests Izuku is going to "ruin the economy".
  Momo Yaoyorozu: God I hope so
• What the Hell, Hero?: Miruko brings UA's apparent favoritism towards Bakugou to Midnight's attention after viewing the entirety of the final exam replays. Midnight then brings this to UA's faculty and asks why, despite his being the instigator for every confrontation, he was never reprimanded for any of his behavior save for a two-day suspension for attacking Izuku^* and then also pointing out that Izuku received a one-day suspension for "fighting back". This leads to Bakugou receiving counseling from Hound Dog and Aizawa getting a traumatizing lecture from Nezu.
  Chloroform: I swear to christ if either one of you says anything that isn’t ‘wow we fucked up’ I’m bringing this to Nezu
  EldritchRodent: Oh, I am here
  Bloodtype:Coffee: Have mercy?
  EldritchRodent: Hahahahaha, no.
• You Have GOT to Be Kidding Me!: All the girls react this way when Ochako reveals that the reason she never confessed her feelings for Izuku was that she thought a relationship would get in the way of his hero career, but Tsuyu's reaction is especially epic:
  Tsuyu: Ochako. My friend. My bestie. I'm saying this from the bottom of my heart. I love you. But that is the single, most asinine thing I have heard IN MY ENTIRE LIFE! AND WE ARE IN A CLASS WITH GRAPIST AND EXPLODO-BRAIN! DO YOU KNOW HOW HIGH THAT BAR IS!?
