The Myth of Link and Zelda: Survivors of the Calamity is a series of fanmade novelizations of the games currently set in a fanfic version of the overall setting of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild's Hyrule. These include the aforementioned game, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity, and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
These three stories are a subseries of the author's greater crossover universe, the Marvel Fanfiction Universe, which crosses over DC, Marvel, and Nintendo characters alike. They are released in both Archive of Our Own and on a PDF "handwritten" format. It is also a subseries of The Myth of Link & Zelda fanfic series.
There are three installments in this subseries so far.
- Novel 1: The Myth of Link & Zelda: Breath of the Wild which faithfully adapts the namesake game, beginning with Link awakening in the Shrine of Resurrection, going on a journey to rediscover his life, and finally to defeat Calamity Ganon. Can be found here on AO3
. - Novel 0: The Myth of Link & Zelda: Age of Calamity, a prequel to the first fanfic, detailing and fleshing out the backstory of the Champions, Link, Zelda, and much of Hyrule. According to the author, it will be a true prequel instead of an Alternate Timeline in the namesake game. Can be found here on AO3.
- Novel 2: The Myth Of Link And Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom, which is a sequel to Breath of the Wild. This will detail Hyrule's greatest and most powerful warriors coming together to finally destroy the curse of Demise and end the cycle plaguing Hyrule.
