TMNT: 2nd Ren (also called Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The 2nd Renaissance) is a fanfiction written by WildCat7812. It is currently ongoing, and is in its own AU where the turtles fight the Foot Clan and its assassins like Shiro and the Mutant Elite. The fanfiction is currently available on here.

TMNT: 2nd Ren provides examples of:

  • Absentee Actor: Splinter and Michelangelo are nowhere to be seen in the second chapter/episode.
  • Advertisement:
  • Action Girl: Shiro is clearly this.
  • Adaptation Dye-Job: Splinter's fur is grey.
  • Adult Fear: Splinter's fear of losing the turtle to an old enemy can be seen in real life somewhat.
  • Adventure Rebuff: Splinter prohibits his sons from face Shiro and the Foot Clan. Doesn't stop Raphael from trying to get back at Shiro for waxing his shell in their first encounter.
  • Alcoholic Parent: It's implied by Shiro in the second chapter/episode that her Father was this.
  • Ascended Extra: Shredder (when compared to his Mirage appearance)
  • Ax-Crazy: Shiro and Masayuki, but this suits Masayuki more.
  • Bad Boss: Shredder (surprise, surprise)
  • The Bad Guy Wins: Shiro manages to get away with the Sword of Tengu without so much as a scratch in the first chapter/episode.
  • Bash Brothers: Casey and Raphael.
  • Berserk Button: Never EVER mock Shiro.

  • Big Damn Heroes: Splinter saves the turtles in the third chapter from Shiro and her group in the nick of time.
  • Bio-Augmentation: the turtles, Splinter, Shiro, Torao, Masayuki, Ryu, and Toshiro are clearly this.
  • Blood Knight: Shiro, Raphael, and Masayuki.
  • Blood Lust: Shiro and Masayuki appear to be this.
  • Canon Foreigner: Shiro, Torao, Ryu, Toshiro, and Masayuki.
  • Covered with Scars: Shiro is shown to be this in the third chapter/episode.
  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Michelangelo, and Masayuki to a certain extent.
  • Cute and Psycho: Shiro (she is the only girl turtle to ever appear as of yet)
  • Deadly Upgrade: Ryu is a cyborg, and Toshiro has psychokinetic powers. Whether this is the extent for them, or possibly true for the other mutants, is unknown currently.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: Shiro wants to hurt Raphael badly, possibly kill him, for reminding him of her father (who was an alcoholic that lead to her suffering mental abuse)

  • Even Evil Has Standards: Toshiro shows obvious disgust in the second episode/chapter at Shiro's obvious glee at killing.
  • Frankenstein's Monster: Shiro has scars over a majority of her body. Especially considering the one on her neck makes you wonder WHAT caused them.
  • Meaningful Name: Shiro's name means "White" in Japanese, and she's an albino.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Master Splinter.
