Stand and Deliver is a 7-part Star vs. the Forces of Evil and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure crossover fanfiction by Dr.Indigo
. In an attempt to prepare her twin daughters for a tough universe, Queen Star puts them under the care of her earth friends to expand their horizons. Most importantly, the twin princesses of Mewni are also treated to stories of their mother and mentors' early adventures as Stand users.

- Flowers and Brimstone: While visiting their Aunt Jackie on her private island retreat, the Princesses Marisol and Artemis Butterfly learn the story of how she achieved enlightenment, met her future wife, and became the founder of one of the most influential and controversial new religions of the 21st Century. This fan work provides examples of:
- A Day in the Limelight: The stories between the first and finale each has one of the main five Stand users face some insurmountable circumstances, gain a bit of a power-up, and start on the path to becoming their future selves.
- Babies Ever After: Star's twin daughters, Artemis and Marisol, and Annie's baby boy Eugene.
- Book Ends: Each story begins and ends with a Flash Forward to central members of the cast in 2046 with the main plot being told to the Butterfly twins.
- Central Theme: Each story has a certain theme related to the nature of Stands (i.e. origins, development, application, etc.).
- Deconstruction Crossover: Aside from a few references, this story is more Star vs. the Forces of Evil with Stands than a mutual crossover. It also puts the cast through the wringer by their stands and enemies, as evidenced by their future selves.
- Foreshadowing: This is accomplished through the 2046 scenes randomly pointing out events that would become integral to future stories.
- Framing Device: Each entry begins and ends with a glimpse into the future where the Butterfly twins are treated to the main story.
- Happily Married: The main cast (sans Janna) are this in the future: Star & Solaris, Marco & Hekapoo, Jackie & Kelly, and Annie & Oscar.
- Necessary Drawback: Stands have some type of weakness to balance their power. Usually, the more powerful a stand is, the shorter their range.
- Once a Season: Just before the prologue (and the midpoint if the story is longer than usual), the focus shifts to the exploits of the Hobyah Man, Marcus Brando.
- Same Character, But Different: Almost everyone from the show are developed in different ways than their canon counterparts, with their 2046!selves being the most striking.
- Wrong Context Magic: Mewnian magic has no effect on Stands. In addition, magically-rooted races from Mewni (sans monsters) can't develop Stands unless their auras are infused with another Stand user.
- It is later revealed that Stands were actually prominent in all life in pre-history until sentient beings started rejecting them and resorted to magic by drawing from the energy of the universe. As a result, the cosmic ley lines were shifted and led to a decline of Stand awakenings until its reemergence, with both powers coming from different sources.
Stand and Deliver provides examples of:
- Cover Identity Anomaly: Jefferson Speedwagon originally went under the name Oliver Haddo, which Janna quickly identified as the protagonist of the novel The Magician.
- Death by Origin Story: The bizarre adventure begins with Star being clinically dead from a car accident and being brought back from the brink by Jefferson Speedwagon's Stand, whose Life Energy infuses with Star and awakens her stand, as well as her human friends that played Truth or Consequences that one night.
- Given Name Reveal: Starfan13's real name note is revealed to be Annie Lightfoot, mostly because Jefferson threatened her with his Stand if she didn't drop the nickname. She's then referred to as such from then on, only going by Starfan13 through social media.
- I Just Want to Be Normal: The main group isn't fond of their new lot in life as Stand users in a constant war for survival and the mental instabilities that come with it. They try to keep up appearances in their lives outside of training and battles for the most part.
- Origins Episode: This story explains how Star and co. gained their Stands.
- Power Incontinence: Before Star and the gang could properly summon their Stands, they endured a number of odd side effects upon them being awakened (i.e. Star's room was encased in ice; Marco woke up to his Stand was hovering ominously over his bed; Jackie's Stand made her sleep deprived and jutted out of her back each time she sneezed; Starfan13's then-invisible Stand clung to her back and kept whispering its supposed catchphrase to her, and Janna's Stand was inside her shadow and would bark when someone stepped on it).
- Starts with Their Funeral: The funeral of Jefferson Speedwagon (which they missed) prompts Star to tell to her daughters the main story and sends them to be counseled & trained by her friends.
- The Call Knows Where You Live: Due to Star and her friends having awakened their stands at the same time, a psychic pulse was released from Echo Creek that attracts other Stand users throughout an over 100-mile radius. As a result, the heroes have to anticipate a fight at any time.
Highway to Hex provides examples of:
- Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: Future!Marco frustratedly admitted that Jefferson's strictness towards him was something he sorely needed, and he grew guilty for treating the old man like shit throughout high school. This is likely the reason why he broke his self-imposed exile from Earth to attend Jefferson's funeral.
- I Shall Taunt You: Jefferson manages to do this to Marco twice but for different reasons. The first time was placing the death of Sensei Brantley on Marco, inadvertently causing him to unleash his Stand in anger. The second time was Jefferson intentionally riling up Marco into trying to summon his Stand to demonstrate Janna's new power.
- Marriage Before Romance: Marco agreed to become Hekapoo's husband in order to train in her dimension. At the end of training, they've become an odd but loving couple, with Marco having been groomed to be Hekapoo's ideal mate.
- Power Nullifier: Janna's stand isn't great in terms of raw power. It is however able to nullify the powers of a stand user by touch, can manifest her stand out of any shadow in her range, and her range envelopes all of Echo Creek. As long as Marco is in town, Janna has a leash on him.
- Restraining Bolt: As long as Marco is in Echo Creek, Janna's stand prevents him from using his own, and she will not hesitate to kill him if he tries acting like he can do whatever he wants. It's harsh, but not unjustified since one of those things he wanted to do was sleep with Jackie despite no longer having feelings for her.
- Sacrificial Lion: Sensei Brian Brantley's death at the "hands" of Fats Dynamite is the fuse that set off Marco to Hekapoo's dimension to train.
- Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Marco leaves Earth and never comes back after graduation. Refusing to put up with Janna's ability to nullify his stand or Jefferson's lectures any longer.
- Ship Sinking: As revealed in the previous story's epilogue, Marco's marriage to Hekapoo and his altered personality sunk any other ships involving him, most evidently with Jackie (his feelings for her were no longer romantic despite desiring to use her sexually) or Janna (upon learning about Marco's intentions towards the former).
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Marco and Jefferson's dynamic which worsened after Marco's attitude change and Jefferson using Janna's nullification and tracking powers to keep Marco on a figurative leash.
- Time to Unlock More True Potential: Marco spent two thousand years training in Hekapoo's time-dilated dimension to draw out and master his Stand's true potential.
- Took a Level in Jerkass: Marco after his training becomes something of an arrogant asshole who feels that he can do what he wants because he's too strong to be stopped.
- Unholy Matrimony: Fats Dynamite and Nikki make up the first Stand user couple.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Jefferson berated Marco for his unorthodox training, his marriage to Hekapoo (which Jefferson sees as a Deal with the Devil), and his new Jerkass attitude.
Flowers and Brimstone provides examples of:
- Break the Haughty: In addition to getting the stuffing beaten out of him, Marco's ego took a heavy blow with an instilled fear of the Stand Chemical Romance who obliterated most of the Diamond Dogs and stole his dimensional scissors.
- Cult: The designation given to Omnitology, of which the followers are taught to understand the mental and spiritual connections between all living things, often leading to them unlocking Enlightenment Superpowers (though this is more apparent for Stand users).
- Curb-Stomp Battle: The brawl between Marco and the Diamond Dogs was very one-sided, with Marco barely clinging to life after losing one of his hands, being nailed to a wall by pipes shoved through his collar bones, and being relentlessly beaten by Igloo. And then the mysterious Stand, Chemical Romance, wiped the floor with the Diamond Dogs, who were already the deadliest living group of Stand users.
- Deadly Game: Chemical Romance set this up by pitting Jackie & Kelly against Danni Charles on a remote. The only way to win is for one party to kill the other within 5 days or else they all die.
- Failed a Spot Check: Marco entered an alley thinking that he'd just be dealing with the dangerous Stand user Igloo, failing to notice or anticipate that he had allies that could mask their presence and surround him.
- Friend Versus Lover: Janna and Kelly have been at each other's throats ever since Jackie & Kelly's return from Boar's Head Island and Kelly's role in Jackie's change of personality. When Jackie officially declared her love for Kelly, Janna completely cut ties with her and refused Jackie's attempts to make ammends.
- Full-Frontal Assault: Jackie's appearance in her final battle against Danni, mainly as a means to properly feel the vibrations air to make use of Pinball Wizard's full abilities.
- Heroic Second Wind: Jackie gains this after her mind was opened to the Cosmic Ley Line and found a way to work around her Stand's weakness.
- Holy Ground: A willow tree, eventually revealed to be the King, where Jackie first became enlightened and began to form the precepts of Omnitology. It resides on her and Kelly's compound on Boar's Head Island.
- I Choose to Stay: Nothing is stopping Marco from leaving Echo Creek and getting out from Janna's leash or Jefferson's lecture's. They even tell him that. He chooses to stay because if he didn't he wouldn't see Star or his parents again.
- Loophole Abuse: Jefferson tells Hekapoo when he takes Marco to her for 'healing' that she has to be quick about it. She tells him she's taking him back to her own dimension, where they will have all the time they could want together.
- Meet Cute: Jackie and Kelly first met when the latter was brought along with Star to one of Jefferson's training sessions, right off the heels of Kelly's breakup with Tad.
- Minor Flaw, Major Breakup: The reason Kelly and Tad broke up was over an argument about Tad's sister's use of punctuation in a text.
- "The Reason You Suck" Speech: Speedwagon gives Marco one with both barrels after the boy rebuffs his attempts to reconcile. Telling him that while he himself started the events of the stories by hitting Star, everything else that's happened to Marco and those around him is his own fault. He also defends his racism against Latinos by telling Marco that, unlike other every other culture where he found people who treated him with kindness, he found none of that with any Hispanic he has encountered.
- Sickening Sweethearts: Hekapoo's entire dialogue with her husband was filled with cutesy talk.
- Teeth-Clenched Teamwork: Jefferson and Marco totally hate each other by this point. Not without reason either, but they both want to help Jackie.
- Temporary Blindness: For most of the story, Marco was blinded due to the trauma he suffered from that Curb-Stomp Battle above. While Jefferson was able to fix his physical injuries, Marco's blindness was linked to his broken spirit and could be cured by some Intimate Healing from his wife Hekapoo.
- Worf Had the Flu: Marco is the most powerful stand user in the world. However as he cannot safely access his stands full power as a teenager without risking killing himself, he had the floor wiped with him.
1-Up Girl provides examples of:
- Comic-Book Movies Don't Use Codenames: The identities of the Valkyries are well known.
- Ineffectual Death Threats: Jefferson when he angrily tells Star and Marco to stop eavesdropping on him reprimanding Janna. It's played with since while they know given his stands lack of combat ability, and their own stands massive combat ability, he has zero ability to back it up, they still feel threatened from the sheer intensity of it.
- Sentai: The Valkyries were stylized as such due to Annie's influences.
- Superheroes in Space: The Valkyries are a quintet of heroines who hail from different parts of the universe that right wrongs throughout the universe.
A Clock in My Head provides examples of:
- Dark and Troubled Past: Jefferson's backstory is rife with painful experiences, some of which he was responsible for causing.
- Darker and Edgier: Even Janna warns the Butterfly twins that her story is more intense the last.
- Dude, Where's My Respect?: The Magical High Commission have all grown to deeply resent Mewni for how the kingdom treats them. Their jobs all important to the stability of the entire multiverse, yet they are constantly pulled away from their duties to deal with one small kingdom. They are revered and respected as deities throughout all other realities, yet are seen as lackies to a line of Butterfly queens who have done nothing but make things miserable for them. It's no wonder they throw their lot in with Brando when he promises them that he will deal with Mewni.
- Invisible to Normals: Played with as Glossaryck points out that Ludo and other Mewnian monsters are capable of seeing Stands due them sharing attributes to animals, vegetables, or minerals and being attuned to the natural world.
- Mundane Luxury: The reason why Glosseryck loves bugs, why he loves to sweat the small stuff when more important things are happening is because he is an almost all seeing clairvoyant. Emphasis on almost. He can see everything everywhere and know everything except the most insignificant of details. He loves bugs because they are beneath his sights notice and he knows nothing about them, and he knows all magic but he has no idea if he can cook pudding on a skewer. Glosseryck focuses on the simple things in life because those are the only ones that can surprise him.
- Sole Survivor: Dennis is the sole survivor of Ludo's family (outside Ludo himself) after Brando killed the rest of them while looking for Ludo and the wand.
