Stylised as Pretty Cure: -BLACK✰SMILE-, this work is a Pretty Cure fic written by Heavy Lok.
The story itself is a What If? scenario. What happens when Joker creates a new kind of Nose, one that isn't used to create a Monster of the Week? What if it was instead used to induce a forced Face–Heel Turn in the Smile Cures? New members of Pretty Cure appear to try and fill in, but with the Smile Cures being turned into Bad End Pretty Cure, it will not be easy...
The story is currently ongoing and has shown a Darker and Edgier tone when compared to Smile Pretty Cure! canon.
The title was orignally called Smile! Pretty Cure: Bad End✰Rewrite, but was changed. According to the author, he "found the original title to be cheesy".

Pretty Cure: -BLACK✰SMILE- provides examples of:
- Brainwashed and Crazy: The Fuchsia Nose that Joker forces down each Smile Cure's throats floods them with evil energy, turning them toward Bad End Kingdom and even warping their minds and personalities. Time will tell if they return to their old selves.
- Chained by Fashion: Corrupted!Miyuki eventually starts wearing chains that can also act as weapons. The chains also act as a form of symbolism to Miyuki's growing descent from an adorable Magical Girl to a beloved servant of the Big Bad.
- Evil Costume Switch: Invoked by the Smile Team. Their uniforms start off with faded colours, but progressively darken over the course the story before transforming into uniforms similar in appearance to the Bad End Pretty Cure.
- Expy:
- Cure Prisma, based entirely on Lightning from Final Fantasy XIII.
- Magical Servant Caliber, although suggested to be the same person as Prisma and sharing the same civilian name, is based on Shirou from Fate/stay night. Namely, the UBW variety.
- Cure Magia, on the other hand, is loosely based on the protagonist from Kamen Rider Wizard.
- Foil: Cure Prisma and Cure Magia are polar opposites. The former is a case of Good is Not Nice and can be a real Jerkass while the latter is a Nice Girl trying to be an ideal hero.
- Laughing Mad: Corrupted Miyuki frequently breaks out into this, especially when she's taunting either Cure Prisma or Magia or trying to hurt or kill Candy.
- Magical Girl Warrior: Per the norm for Pretty Cure, all magical girls present in this fic fight for their own ideals.
- Pocket Dimension: In ZERO POINT, Kagami conjures up a pocket dimension upon becoming a Magical Servant to even out the playing field against Bel. It is described to be a vast empty blue landscape with water for the ground and damaged tall structures in the distance.
- Reforged into a Minion: The Smile Team receives this treatment, corrupting their respective powers to become more dangerous and some gaining weaponry or new abilities. Their bodies can also absorb Bad Energy as an additional power source, which is described to be sensational.
- Storm of Blades: Used by Kagami to counter Bel's 118 micro-missiles in ZERO POINT.
- Variable-Length Chain: Corrupted!Miyuki, effectively used as long-range melee weapons that can seek out opponents. Was first tested out on a tree purely by accident.
