I was alone. Alone and hated in my village. Until my mentor found me. Until he trained me. And he taught me a valuable lesson. That Nothing is True, and Everything is Permitted. Who am I? I am Naruto Uzumaki. And I'm an Assassin

Shinobi's Creed written by LeafRanger is an Assassin's Creed and Naruto crossover in which an assassin is magically transported into the Naruto and starts a new order.

Tropes:

    • Jiraiya makes his first appearance in a chapter that takes place before cannon events
    • Several Kumo Nin including A, and Killer Bee show up during the Chunin exams.
    • Guren shows up during the hunt for Tsunade arc, while in cannon she didn't show up until shippuden.
  • Adaptational Jerkass:
    • Hiashi Hyuuga is much more antagonistic towards his daughter both abusing and disowning Hinata.
    • A the Fourth Raikage is far more of a villan, he was the man behind the plan for the Hinata's attempted kidnaping, and ordered the death of Yugito Nii's parents when they wouldn't give her up to become a jinchuriki.
    • Downplayed with Kiba. He is very much the same character as in cannon but he is actively more antagonistic to Naruto and Hinata.
  • Adaptation Personality Change:
    • Sakura is much more shy and soft spoken due to Ino not developing a crush on Sasuke thus preventing their rivalry and Sakura rising to meet her rival
    • Advertisement:
    • Due to the Uchiha massacre not taking place Sasuke is much more well adjusted and kind.
  • Ascended Extra:
    • Anko Mitarashi, Kiseki Uchiha and Yugito Nii are all members of the assassin order with more focus put on them and the former is also Naruto and Hinata's jonin sensei.
    • Ino is Naruto and Hinata's third team mate.
  • Badass Normal: Mukei Gorotsuki is a member of the Assassins who doesn't use or have chakra yet can hold his own agianst one of the seven swordsmen who is doing the same.
  • Combat Pragmatist: This seems to be the standard for Assassins who will use every trick they can to gain an advantage in a fight.
  • Crippling Overspecialisation:
    • The Elemental Nations are so centered around Ninja that most of their defenses are made with Ninja and Chakra in mind. This allows for the Assassin's non Chakra methods of breaking and entering, killing and spying to slip through the cracks.
    • Advertisement:
    • Kabuto is a support fighter/spy with one offensive ability.
    • The Hyuuga clan only uses the Gentle Fist in combat which allows for ranged fighters to have the advantage.
    • Averted with Naruto, he is forced to learn ninjutsu and other shinobi arts to prevent that from hapening.
  • Death by Adaptation: Kabuto is killed by Raphael in the invasion of Konoha.
  • Demoted to Extra:
    • Because Naruto's teammates and Sensei are Ino, Hinata, and Anko, Kakashi, Sakura, and Sasuke get less time in the lime light.
    • Iruka is nothing more than Naruto's academy teacher, with Raphael taking the role of mentor/big brother.
  • Entitled to Have You: A platonic version, both Kakashi and Jiriya belive that they deserve to be the one to train Naruto due to their conection to Minato.
  • Evil Is Petty: Orochimaru is this.
    • He marks Sasuke with the Curse Mark and plans to hijack his body simply to get back at Itachi for beating him despite there being other living Uchiha that are sronger than Sasuke to choise from.
    • He tells Naruto that Jiriya is his godfather and ruins their relationship just to get back at Jiriya.
  • Expy: Mukei Gorotsuki is one to Edward Kenway. They are both Assassins who are also pirates who dual wield swords.
  • Fish out of Water: Several of the early chapters are about Raphael, a man from our late 1400's adjusting to life in the elemental nations.
  • Get It Over With: Neji yells at Hinata to kill him after he losses to her durring the Chunin exams.
  • Guns Are Useless: Zigzaged. They are shown to be extremely painful to downright lethal if they hit. However the are all muzzle loading matchlocks from the early 1500's making them both slow firing and inaccurate, especially against Ninja.
  • Gratuitous Spanish: Raphael will often times say frases in Spanish usualy when he is pissed.
  • Historical Character's Fictional Relative: Raphael is the illegitimate half brother of Hernán Cortés.
  • I Am Not a Gun: This is the main reason that Yugito Nii leaves Kumo they treat her like a weapon rather than a person.
  • I Can Still Fight!: Both Hinata and Neji do this during their battle in the chunin exams. Hinata is right, Neji isn't.
  • I Have Your Wife: Fugauku Uchiha sends a fellow conspirator to hold Naruto hostage when he goes to confront Hiruzian.
  • In Spite of a Nail: Despite Hiruzian still being alive and Orochimaru still having his arms both parties still go after Tsunade after the attack on Konoha.
  • Lamp Shading: Raphael muses to himself that in a world of ninja no one tends to look up.
  • Not Helping Your Case: Jiraiya wants to train Naruto for the Chunin exams but his actions make Anko and Raphael not want him to do just that.
  • Pragmatic Villainy: The third Raikage fights against Orochimaru's forces in the attack on Konoha only so that Konoha will owe him for his actions.
  • Perfectly Arranged Marriage: Itachi and Kiseki are this after Kiseki warms up to him.
  • Reality Ensues:
    • No mater how powerful or skilled a fighter you are you can be defeated by someone who catches you of guard.
    • The shinobi system caused mass changes to the Elemental Nations and not everyone was happy with them.
    • Kabuto is shot through his collar bone by Raphael. Kabuto is both crippled and goes into shock right after the attack. It is also stated that its impressive that he is still alive.
  • Secretly Selfish: Both Kakashi and Jiraiya are shown to be this when it comes to why they want to train Naruto:
    • Kakashi wants to recreate his old team with Naruto being his Obito to make up for past mistakes.
    • Jiraiya seems to be more interested in the toad prophecy and turning Naruto into the All-Loving Hero he was in cannon rather than what Naruto wants.
  • Spared by the Adaptation:
    • The Uchiha clan as a whole. The massacre does not happen as the leadership of the leaf and the Assassin's work together to kill the men planning the coup before the rest of the clan is informed.
    • Haku and Zabuza survive the events in Wave.
    • Due to A's interference Hiruzian survives the attack on Konoha.
  • Sorting Algorithm of Evil: Averted.
    • Danzo is the first villian shown and while he hasn't done much yet is quickly became a target of the Assassins.
    • Orochimaru is just as unkillable as in canon and does not lose his arms keeping him at the threat level of his first apperence.
    • The Akatsuki is the same threat they are in canon.
    • A is secretly making moves against the other nations to put Kumo on top of the shinobi world.
    • Then there's a mysterous fifth faction who want to whipe out all Shinobi and return the Elemental nations to a time before ninja exist.
  • Spotting the Thread: Ino was quick to figure out that Naruto Hinata and Anko were all part of the Assassins becouse they were all wereing similar uniforms.
  • Suicidal Overconfidence: Fugaku Uchiha knowingly walks into a trap set by the Third Hokage beleving that his Sharingan is enough to defeat the third Hokage.
