Sexy Lowblood Gamzee is a fan fiction featuring characters from both Hiveswap and Homestuck written by zilliumgrist
on tumblr. The main character is Gamzee Megido, the most sexy troll on Alternia. The fic is both a parody and loving tribute of other fanfics on wattpad and other similar sites.
Sexy Lowblood Gamzee provides examples of:
- Alternate Universe Fic: Role swaps ahoy. Gamzee is not sexy and he is not a lowblood in canon, although some will beg to differ about the sexy part.
- Audience? What Audience?: Y/N is confused when Gamzee says he hates the fic he's part of.
- Author Appeal: Strangely averted. Zilliumgrist has repeatedly stated both in and out of character that they hate it and regret making it, but they keep writing.
- Cast Full of Gay: Due to trolls being a mostly bi species and the only humans being a lesbian and a gay guy. The FAQ chapter states "[Sexy Lowblood Gamzee] is lesbian zilliumgrist follower culture."
- Crack Fic: Sexy...lowblood... what now? Sexy psionic... Tegiri? When did Tricksters happen? And why is the toys r us logo a thing in this universe?

Crack Pairing: This chapter title practically speaks for itself: "John x Dirt. Jade x Tree. Dave x Table. Rose x Grass. Gamzee x Flannel." - Cool Shades: Dirk has his typical anime shades.
- Conveniently Common Kink: Being a furry might just be a trait of trolls in whatever AU SLG takes place in.
- Crossover: Dirkwise is a fusion of Dirk and Pennywise. Somehow. Warrior Cats appears somewhat out of no where in part 6.
- Draco in Leather Pants: Gamzee occasionally gets this treatment in fanon and this fic seems like its parodying that fact, but with SLG, who knows?
- Exactly What It Says on the Tin: Gamzee is the sexiest lowblood on alternia. Everyone finds him incredibly sexy. What else would you expect from a fic called sexy low blood Gamzee?
- Forced to Watch: Y/N when Dirk transforms into Dirkwise
- tumblr user aut0-resp0nder when they realized that they sort of came up with sexy lowblood gamzee when naming cursed bloodswaps with their kismesis and now has contributed to the creation of a monster
- Hand Wave: Who's Y/N? Why is Gamzee so sexy? Why are Dirk Strider and Joey Lalonde on Alternia? Just go with it.
- Hypocrite: There is a character named Sexy Lowblood Grand Highblood.
- Implausible Fencing Powers: Dirk. How did he managed to beat the living daylights out of Y/N and then tie them up in UNDER TWO MINUTES?
- Lightning Bruiser: Dirk manages to subdue Y/N in under two minutes.
- Lust Object: Gamzee, to the point where he is called The Sexiest Troll On Alternia.
- Medium Awareness: Gamzee, repeatedly in chapter 1 but less so later on.
- Mind Screw: Do not attempt to understand this fic or the many levels of irony it operates on. You WILL get a headache.
- Metaphorgotten: "Hold onto your probably metaphorical horses."
- Missing Steps Plan: Tegiri and Tyzias. Tegiri insists on having a plan, but Tyzias just starts the mission to recover fursuits from Gamzee and the Sexy Lowblood Grand Highblood.
- Murder, Arson, and Jaywalking: Dirk beats Y/N in a fight easily, ties them up, and... makes them surrender all of their copies of the Bee Movie?
- Persecution Flip: "All the Earth heterosexuals booed because Dammek and the 2001 toys r us logo has a better relatiponship then they did with their opposite gender partner."
- Pyromaniac: Polypa, presumably, as the narrator credits everything being on fire to her.
- Rage Against the Author: Gamzee in chapter 1. Also, strangely, Zilliumgrist as the author often says that they hate it or imply they're being forced to by the fans or perhaps the "author" who writes the author's notes in a style completely different than Zilliumgrist's regular writing style.
- Random Events Plot: Sometimes things seem irrelevant but they actually aren't until later. Other times, like the Dammek/Toys R US logo side story they really are as weird as they seem.
- Red Eyes, Take Warning: Inverted. Y/N finds Gamzee's red eyes sexy.
- Shovel Strike: Trickster!Fozzer hits Joey with a shovel.
- Self-Deprecation: "this fic doesnt deserve to exist," is a direct quote. "my body physically rejects that sentence" is another one, directly from the author/author avatar narrator.
- Shout-Out: In chapter four, Dirk transforms into Pennywise and reveals he has arobot kink which is likely a reference to zilliumgrist's tumblr friend aut0-resp0nder's repeated comments about being attracted to robots. Also, Dammek is in love with the 2001 Toys R Us Logo. Y/N has 58 copies of the Bee Movie. The end of Chapter 6 is interrupted by a reference to a meme from the Warrior Cats fandom called Firestar doesn't like waffles
- Stylistic Suck: Every chapter is littered with typos and awkward jump cuts.
- Take That!: The numerous comments on the low quality of the story are this to other fics of a similar but less ironic nature.
- Take That, Audience!: Specifically [[ravendreaming.tumblr.com ravendreaming]] in the FAQ that takes up chapter 7 for telling the creators of Hiveswap about the fic. On tumblr, their response to Raven's creation of this TV Trope Page was simply "Perish."
- Troll Fic: Slowly becoming THE Hiveswap troll fic.
- Unconventional Formatting: Sometimes authors notes are sprinkled in at seemingly random intervals. Oh, also, what's a comma?
- What Did I Do Last Night?: Apparently the author's reaction to looking back on their fic. Zilliumgrist wrote on their own blog in response to the creation of the article to, "PLEASE raven add that i don’t even remember parts about my own story (slg) because i dont fucking remember like 50% of it. I forgot about the entire dammek x toys r us chapter once. i dont remember the 58 bee movie copies. why did i choose 58. why did i write this fucking story."
- You Sexy Beast: Most everyone who lays eyes on Gamzee, although it isn't clear if he's as prone to murder as his canon counterpart.
