New Breed Of Kamen Riders, alternatively known as New Breed Of Riders, is a Kamen Rider Dragon Knight fanfic by one Bowling Is My Life. It follows the adventures of Erik, known as Kamen Rider Blink, a new Kamen Rider training in Ventara presumably sometime after the end of the original series. A new prototype Rider, Blink proves himself to be stronger than all the other Riders as well as Kit and Len's new best friend and apparently their new leader who fights to stop the evil Solavar from gathering the new Ability Decks and building an army of wicked Riders to do his bidding and Take Over the World.

It's a Crossover with....iCarly, of all things, and that Erik is also Carly's boyfriend and father of her baby.

The story can be found here.

New Breed Of Kamen Riders provides examples of:

  • Animal Motifs: The Ability Riders have their own Advent Beasts, which might also lend to their motifs. Blink has a barracuda, Flight has an owl, Earthbound has a butterfly, Intel has an octopus, Brute has a bull while Shadow has a wolf.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: About halfway through the story, Len and Kit just mysteriously vanish and are never seen again. Justified via Deus Exit Machina.
  • Deus Exit Machina: Inverted. Eubolon and the other riders work on fighting the Hive and working on ways to not get defeated by the Ability Riders, while the stronger of the Riders, Erik, gets in on the main conflict.
  • Informed Ability: Erik is supposedly the strongest Kamen Rider, though his only powers are Teleportation note  and Double and Triple Venting note .

  • Karma Houdini: Erik is never called out for getting an underage girl knocked-up. Not only that, Carly and friends still treat him as a friend when he returns to them after leaving her and their lovechild on their own for three years.
  • Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Inverted. You think with a Rider whose name is Brute, they would be The Brute for the villain, but instead, they're The Big Guy for the heroes.
  • Remember the New Guy?: Erik and Solavar are treated as if they've always been there from both sides of the crossover. Both have some justification. Erik was brought in as a new recruit for training after Dragon Knight ended and Solavar had the unfortunate circumstance of being trapped in Hive Central.
  • Stock Superpowers: Each of the Ability Riders have a special power that they are named after.
  • Transformation Trinket: Gone are the iconic Advent Belts of series and instead the Riders now morph into battle with glasses.
  • The Worf Effect: Kamen Rider Flight end up taking out Axe off-screen to show how intimidating the Riders are.

How well does it match the trope?
