Sea of Monsters
is an Alternate Universe fic about supernatural monsters actually existing in the One Piece universe residing in the 'so called' weakest ocean- the East Blue. Everyone there is a type of Eldritch Abomination and only the strongest of them is able to skip past the veil and travel to other oceans. (In Progress)

Monsters Chasing Dreams has examples of:
- Adaptational Abomination: As this is a AU, East Blue was never a nest for monsters in Canon and everyone was more or less human there.
- Conditioned to Accept Horror: This happens to Sanji due to having such a Dark and Troubled Past. His Dysfunctional Family dropped him off in East Blue despite knowing the residents there are monsters. Despite being around literal Eldritch creatures, he's admitted he's never felt more at home and real demons were nothing compared to his former family.Sanji [Narration]: The people on the ship were just people, if with some... odd attributes and manners. It very well and nice- and Sanji gets to cook! Every day for every meal, except for those rare times when the other cooks did something weird to the food that Sanji wasn’t allowed to eat, but it's amazing! He could mess up and no one would yell at him, and the others were patient, and he didn’t have to worry about getting beat up! It's awesome!
- Irony: Robin considers it ironic that while she's considered a "Devil", Chopper and Brook are believed to be "Monsters" for their Devil Fruits, and Franky a "Freak" and a "Demon" for his body (and terrible fashion sense), the other members of the crew that hail from the East Blue are honest to god demons.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Unlike the other members of the crew- even the human members- Chopper has no idea that some of the crew are Eldritch Abominations. Though to his credit he has noticed there's something off- not quite right about them. Even so, he does always ends up brushing it off as nothing in the end.
- Mentor: Since the Going Merry was born in the East Blue, she instinctively knew about some of the crews demonic origins, something her replacement had yet to figure out quite yet. As such after she parishes, her spirit stays to teach the Thousand Sunny about how to protect and hide the more demonic features of the group from the human members just in case so they don't accidentally hurt them or Go Mad from the Revelation.
