Legacy of the Six is a My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfiction written by Delta314.
A mysterious event occurs at an nondescript temple in an unknown dimension. Six beings (an alicorn, cheetah, dragon, gryphon, and two others) have a deep discussion about the six supposed Elements of Harmony, and soon afterwards, release a huge amount of energy while utilizing the power of teamwork to create them. Fast forward to about one-hundred and seventy-five million years later. In Ponyville, a mysterious magical sphere is found by Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie - the former aiming to find out more about this peculiar object. Little does she and her friends know what the sphere really entrails, and how big of a part-adventure, part-rescue mission it sets off...

Legacy of the Six provides examples of:
- Alien Among Us: Twilight Sparkle, Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, and eventually Luna end up being trapped in the human dimension because of them entering the massive metallic sphere, and not having access to magic for finding a way out.
- Fish out of Water: Part of the humor is derived from Pierce's explanations to the trapped ponies of how he and many others know of them through the show, showing the aspects of the subculture surrounding it, and helping them adapt to the human environment (and the lack of magic).
- Invisibility: In chapter 7, Rarity uses a spell of this kind to make Derpy and later herself invisible, so they can sneak into Canterlot Castle's throne room and private chambers to find out more information about the current situation at hand.
- The Omniscient Council of Vagueness: The six inhabitants of the unnamed temple, present in chapter 1, seem to form a group of extremely powerful beings. So powerful, that together, they created the six Elements of Harmony in the first place.
- Sealed Good in a Can: Omega, the Great Alicorn, got sealed in another dimension by Discord. No one, up until Derpy's interaction with the hivemind spark, has ever heard from or located him since.
- Token Human: Even though many other humans have been already mentioned, Pierce is the only one known in the cast who is human.
