- Big Damn Heroes: Dr. Doom steps in and interrupts the whole deal. It is his perfect chance to prove he's better than Richards and Mephisto!
- Our Time Travel Is Different: After asking everybody for help, Parker took Dr. Strange's Artifact of Doom and goes to the past to Set Right What Once Went Wrong, but he's a ghost and can't do anything. However, this gives him an idea: just go with the Fantastic Four, and borrow a more conventional time travel device.

- The initial scene of Parker being detained for trying to break into the Stark tower is based on the scene from How Spider-Man 3 should have ended?. Peter's reaction to the news that MJ is pregnant is similar to the one of Darth Vader in How The Empire Strikes Back should have ended?
- The scene of the devil being Ms. Marvel is based on "The Devil and Homer Simpson"
- What the Hell, Hero?: Parker left the hospital to try to get money for May. Mary Jane followed him and found him venting his rage on Iron Man, instead of apologizing and registering again so that Stark helps him.
