- Bad Powers, Good People: Bell’s fifth skill, Wrath of the Dragon, Causes Bell to become more aggressive while gaining dragon like qualities when sufficiently angered. Despite this, he still tries to be a hero even when others shun him for his power.
- Berserk Button: Threatening innocents or people Bell is close to is a one way ticket to triggering Wrath of the Dragon and getting beat within an inch of your life.
- Beta Couple: Almost invoked by Welf who seeing the insanity that is Bell’s love life, decides he doesn’t want to keep beating around the bush in regards to his feelings for Hephestus.
- Chick Magnet: Bell is this as in canon, but taken to an even further degree, with the number of named major characters who are attracted to him reaching the double digits, as well as multiple counts of random civilians showing interest in him.
- Internal Reveal: Bell learns about Liaris Freese after Achilles looks at his falna and notices that Bell has one more skill then he thought he did, forcing Hestia to finally tell him about it.
- Mundane Utility: Achilles first skill, Unending Endurance, while useful for long dungeon crawls, was originally developed so he could spend more time studying without breaks.
- Poor Communication Kills: After learning about Phryne almost raping Bell, Aiz runs off to confront her, but doesn’t explain what she’s doing leading Bell to believe she was running away in disgust and become unresponsive until she has a chance to explain herself the next day.
- Scaled Up: One of the effects of Wrath of the Dragon when sufficiently angry.
- Shipper on Deck: Although Achilles is respectful of Bell's choices and is willing to accept his choice to pursue Ais, he admits that he thinks Haruhime would be a better match for Bell, because she's the most kind and patient of the girls interested in Bell, shares Bell's interest in legends and heroic tales, and someone who can inspire him further.
- Straight Gay: If not for his blatant crush on Achilles, one wouldn’t be able to tell Patroclus is gay just by looking at him.
- Straw Misogynist: Most women from Athens are like this to an extent, but special mention goes to Agrippina who accuses Bell of cheating on Aiz for talking to another woman.
