Godzilla Warriors is a fanfiction series created by author and artist captaintaco2345, published on Wattpad.

The series revolves around the adventures of humanized (or gijinka) versions of Kaiju from Toho's Godzilla franchise, but quickly became a crossover between other Kaiju and non-Kaiju franchises, such as Gamera, Pacific Rim, King Kong, Jurassic Park, Cloverfield, and Marvel's Avengers. The series is currently one of the most popular Godzilla fanworks on Wattpad.

While the main series focuses mostly on the series version of Godzilla, the author has also written side stories and spinoffs revolving around other characters, either for lore building (such as the Mothra, King Ghidorah, and Rodan spinoffs) or just side adventures that don't concern the main cast (such as the King Kong and Gamera spinoffs). They are also planning on making a sequel series set after the main story.

The series can be read here.

Provides examples of:

  • Actually a Doombot: Ghidorah had created a brain-dead clone of Godzilla to make his allies think that he had actually died in his duel against Ghidorah, with the real Godzilla being hooked up to Ghidorah's ship to remotely pilot Mecha Titan Ghidorah
  • Actually Pretty Funny: Mothra, Rodan, and Anguirus get in on teasing Godzilla about the raptor quadruplets being his daughters after they meet them. Even Battra finds it rather amusing!
  • Action Girl: Mothra, Komodithrax, Muto, Biolante, and Radon are some badass ladies. Heck, every female kaiju and gijinka will qualify as this by default!
  • Acoustic License: Godzilla and Ghidorah are able to speak clearly in space
  • Adaptational Villainy: Biolante, Titanosaurus, and Kumonga are with the antagonists despite being neutral Earth kaiju in canon. Subverted with Titanosaurus in that he's True Neutral, preferring to be left alone unless someone disturbs him or if Earth is under threat
  • Aliens Are Bastards: Almost all the villains from the series are some kind of alien, most obviously King Ghidorah himself
  • Alternate Universe: The mainline Godzilla universe is this for the Godzilla Warriors continuity
    • On the flipside, the Godzilla Warriors universe is this for Godzilla canon
  • Ancient Evil: Many of the villains are either ancient deities or just ancient beings, such as Bagan, Shinomura, Red, and Clover
  • Alpha Bitch: Slattern. She even says so herself
  • Ambiguous Situation: Desghidorah's final fate at the end of book 10 is deliberately left ambiguous by the author.
  • An Arm and a Leg: Gamera returns in book 10 with a prosthetic arm in place of his missing limb, presumably due to his experiences with the Guardians of the Galaxy
  • Arch-Enemy:
    • Ghidorah is undoubtedly one for Godzilla, but mostly because he was one for his father, Gojira. Gojira also considers Ghidorah his nemesis.
    • Being the one who killed their parents, Desgidorah has a lot of hate directed at him by Mothra, Battra, and Leo, though since Mothra was the only one who saw it happen, she held the most hatred and fear for him
    • Iris serves as this for Gamera, with both having fought each other for ages
    • Gojirin had been tracking Clover for many years before their eventual meeting
  • Art Evolution: While the series itself doesn't contain any artwork, the author's art skills noticeably improved when comparing the covers of previous issues to the covers of later ones. The character artwork in the one-off book are also quite well-done
  • Ax-Crazy: Indominus Rex.
  • Back from the Dead: Mothra comes back to life at the end of book 3 after the defeat of X.
    • Radon was resurrected by Red to be tortured by him before she managed to escape.
  • Badass Family: Godzilla, Gojira, Gojirin, Zilla, and Komodithrax are all related, and all kick ass
  • Badass Longcoat: Godzilla, Gigan, Gojira, and Shin Godzilla have them
  • Beach Kiss: Zilla and Komodithrax's first kiss is on the beach
  • Big Bad Duumvirate: Bagan and Dogolas serve as this for book 4. King Ghidorah and Spacegodzilla are also this for book 10.
  • Big Brother Instinct: Godzilla, after learning that Komodithrax is his little sister, becomes highly protective of her, even Taking the Bullet when Cherno Alpha is ordered to kill her
  • The Big Damn Kiss: Godzilla and Mothra have a lot of these, the biggest being after Mothra's return from the dead in book 3, and after Godzilla proposes to her in book 9.
    • Muto gives Battra this in book 10 to let Hokmuto know that their past relationship is over.
  • Big "NO!": Godzilla when Bagan tosses two buses over the side of a bridge
  • Brains and Brawn: Otachi and Leatherback operate as this.
  • Botanical Abomination: While the original Biolante was definitely an example of this trope, her gijinka counterpart still retains some plant-like qualities
  • Brainwashed:
    • Multiple character get brainwashed by X in book 3
    • Godzilla is brainwashed in book 4, though it's more like brain-tentacled
  • The Brute:
  • The Bus Came Back: Gamera returns in book 10 after his adventure with the Guardians of the Galaxy to aid Godzilla in fending off Ghidorah's army
  • Can't Hold Her Liquor: Mothra has terrible alcohol tolerance, which she ends up demonstrating quite a few times in the one-offs
  • Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: The first few books have very similar villains, while from book 5 onward every villain is wildly different
  • Conveniently Cellmates: Slattern is assigned to share a cell with Muto in the Hong Kong Shatterdome at the end of book 5. Godzilla replaces Slattern in book 6 when he's assigned to Muto's cell
  • Cruel Mercy: In Book 10, Battra originally intended to kill Desghidorah after defeating him for killing his parents Mosura and Batora, but Mothra convinces him to let him live so he can keep on suffering for murdering their parents
  • Darker and Edgier: Book 8 is much darker than anything before it, given that it is based on the NES Godzilla Creepypasta. Book 10 also qualifies, with many characters being Killed Off for Real and Ghidorah killing Godzilla in their duel.
  • Death Is a Sad Thing:
    • Mothra's temporary death makes everyone sad, especially since she confessed her love to Godzilla right before
    • Radon's death still affects Rodan for years until it is revealed that she's Not Quite Dead.
    • Godzilla's death by Ghidorah's hands is mourned by all the Monster Island kaiju before he is revived.
  • Depraved Bisexual: Slattern has the hots for Godzilla, is in love with Ghidorah, and is perfectly willing to get ... intimate with Muto
  • Desecrating the Dead: Ghidorah uses Godzilla's corpse to remotely control Mecha Titian Ghidorah from his spaceship. Subverted in that Godzilla's Only Mostly Dead
  • Despair Gambit: Godzilla is about to pull one by using his Burning form to kill both Ghidorah and himself, through Mothra and Jet talk him out of it
  • Deus ex Machina: Almost literally when Godzilla is saved by the late Acacius before being killed by Red, and given her armour
  • Disappeared Dad: Gojira, Godzilla's father, is assumed dead for the most part, while he is actually in disguise as the cyborg Kiryu. And despite dying again during the battle with Desghidorah and X, he is shown to be alive in book 7 as he pulls a Screw This, I'm Outta Here on the humans who recover his Not Quite Dead body before making his way to Monster Island in book 10.
    • Gojirin also counts given that she wasn't there for Godzilla and Komodithrax during their childhood, something that both are understandably unhappy about. She makes up with them at the end of book 9
  • The Dragon: Gigan, being Ghidorah's right hand man and go-to assassin
  • Dual Wielding: Godzilla, Mothra, Leo, Rodan, Komodithrax, Gojira, Ghidorah, and technically Gigan all have dual wielded weapons at some point
  • Dreaming of Things to Come: Both Godzilla and Mothra have the ability to have prophetic dreams and nightmares. The ring that Solomon gave to them after the defeat of Red also utilizes this ability to display visions of possible futures
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The main story ends with Ghidorah being Killed Off for Real, with his remaining forces in hiding on Venus for the time being, and Godzilla finally getting to enjoy family life with his wife Mothra.
  • Eldritch Abomination: Bagan, Red, and Clover all count
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Dogolas, Megaguirus, Shinomura, and Megalon pull an Enemy Mine with the Earth kaiju after Hokmuto busts them out of prison because while they may be bad guys, they would much rather do things on their own terms than submit to Ghidorah's tyranny.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Mothra refuses to use her ability to spit silk due to how gross it is
    • Hokmuto defects from Ghidorah's army after learning that Slattern raped Muto. Downplayed with Gigan, who, while somewhat disgusted by Slattern sexually assaulting Muto, doesn't put up a fuss about it
  • Evil Is Petty: Slattern could escape back to her dimension after escaping the Shatterdome, but wants to stay on Earth longer just to kill Godzilla. She even states herself; "... in the human language, I am what people from this world would call a bitch."
  • Evil Twin: Battra (at first)
    • Played With when it comes to Shin Godzilla in that he's not completely evil, but not 100% heroic if his alliance with Dogolas at the end of Shin Godzilla: Persecution of the Masses is any indication.
  • Face–Heel Turn: Komodithrax joins Clover in his quest for world domination after she learns that she was injected with his DNA as a child. It doesn't stick.
  • Fantastic Racism: Crimson Typhoon has a case of this in Book 6, contributing to his Jerkass tendencies toward all Kaiju regardless of alignment. He drops this after witnessing Mothra have a near-Heroic BSoD from inadvertently killing Scunner during their battle against her and warms up to them.
  • First Kiss: Battra has his when Muto kisses him before he goes to defend Skull Island from Ghidorah's forces with the other Kaiju
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Many of the characters, both good and evil, have some kind of facial scar, including Ghidorah and Anguirus
  • Grand Finale: Book 10 serves as this to the entire main story
  • Hate Sink: Slattern qualifies, given her Alpha Bitch nature and the fact that she sexually assaulted Muto in the Shatterdome.
  • In the Hood: Radon first appears in book 8 as a hooded figure tending to Rodan's wounds, and he can't recognize her until she takes it off
  • Interrupted Intimacy: It seems Godzilla and Mothra can never get a moment alone, as almost every time they try to have relations, someone, usually Anguirus or Rodan, interrupts them
  • LEGO Genetics: Komodithrax was injected with a serum containing Clover's DNA when she fell ill to an incurable sickness as a child by Clover's cultists in an attempt to use her to control Clover. He uses that to temporarily get Komi on his side.
  • Longest Song Goes Last: A non-musical example, with Book 10 being the longest installment in the series and the last book in the main story with 52 chapters to boot.
  • Killed Off for Real: Book 10 has Striker Eureka, Crimson Typhoon, Baragon, Kong, Dogolas, and Ghidorah bite the dust.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Dogolas' modus operandi is to let stronger Kaiju do his dirty work while he formulates his plans from behind the scenes
  • Mass "Oh, Crap!": Godzilla and company have this when they find out that Ghidorah has none other than Titan Ghidorah on his side.
  • Meaningful Name: Book 10's title, The Final War, clearly refers to its status as the Grand Finale of the main story.
  • Mecha-Mooks: Ghidorah and Spacegodzilla make themselves a Mechagodzilla army in book 10 to take on Godzilla and company
  • My God, What Have I Done?: Komi gets this after Gojirin plays the lullaby she used to sing to Komi and Godzilla when they were children and undos her Face–Heel Turn
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: Battra isn't very supportive of Godzilla and Mothra's relationship, sometimes attempting to sabotage it. He lets go of this at the end of book 7 and wholeheartedly supports their relationship.
  • Mystical White Hair: Mothra and her brother Leo have this, along with their late mother Mosura
  • No Shirt, Long Jacket: Godzilla. He does have training tape around his waist, but that doesn't really count as a shirt
  • Not Quite Dead: Radon, who apparently died in the events of Rodan: Warrior of the Skies, didn't really die, but was instead resurrected by Red within his realm of Zenith.
    • Godzilla didn't actually die in his duel against Ghidorah, being Only Mostly Dead so that Ghidorah could use him to remotely control Mecha Titan Ghidorah.
  • Not So Similar: Ghidorah attempts to invoke a Hannibal Lecture after his final defeat by Godzilla, only for Godzilla to shoot him down on that front.
  • One-Way Visor: Kiryu wore one to hide his true identity as Gojira
  • Product Placement:
    • The exact kind of phone Mothra uses is stated to be a Samsung Galaxy
    • The heroes spend much of the beginning of book 8 playing Bubble Bobble on the NES (though this is mostly a joke about the NES Godzilla Creepypasta, which the book is based on)
    • Rodan remarks that Godzilla's super form is a ripoff of Dragon Ball, to which he takes some offense
  • Rape Is a Special Kind of Evil: Slattern sexually assaulted Muto while sharing a cell with her in the Shatterdome, leaving Muto traumatised. Battra helps Muto recover from the trauma, inadvertently striking up a romantic relationship in the process.
  • Rewarded as a Traitor Deserves: Ghidorah subjects Spacegodzilla to a No-Holds-Barred Beatdown before killing hiim after his betrayal attempt fails.
  • Royal Blood:
    • Ghidorah, Desghidorah, and X are all descendants of royalty, hence "King" Ghidorah
    • Kong is the ruler of Skull Island, and a descendant of the previous kings
  • The Starscream: Spacegodzilla attempts to usurps Ghidorah and takes command of his army in book 10, only for it to fail and get him killed by Ghidorah, who already prepared for occasions like this.
  • Screw This, I'm Outta Here: Hokumuto leaves Ghidorah's army after finding out what Slattern did to Muto, defecting to Godzilla's army.
  • Secret Relationship: Godzilla and Mothra decide to keep their love a secret from Gojirin, Godzilla's mother, due to the fact their families have never gotten along in the past. Gojirin finds out anyways and is surprisingly cool with it, meaning that their relationship as an Official Couple is no longer secret
  • Sensible Heroes, Skimpy Villains: Mothra wears a conservative kimono that barely shows anything, while Biolante wears a shapely strapped dress that shows off an ungodly amount of cleavage
  • Sissy Villain: Kumonga. Most of his appearances involve him getting easily defeated or pushed around by other villains, usually Gigan
  • Super Mode:
    • Godzilla has two; Burning Godzilla, which makes him more powerful but also more unstable and angry, and Super Godzilla, which allows him the power of flight and super powered energy blasts
    • Leo's Rainbow Form, which enhances his speed and strength
    • Fire Rodan, which turns Rodan into a glowing winged demon with the ability to shoot fireballs
    • Anguirus gains the power to use magnetism and electricity in the final battle of book 10
  • Taking the Bullet: Leo takes a bullet to the heart that Gigan intended for Mothra in book 10.
    • Rexxy uses herself as a shield against the Mechagodzillas to protect the raptors, coming out of it badly wounded but alive
  • The Cameo: Many of the characters are cameos from other franchises, some of whom become major players in the story, which is the case with Slattern from Pacific Rim
  • Token Good Teammate: Scunner is this for the Breach kaiju in book 6, being a Nice Girl Anti-Villain in comparison to her more ruthless teammates.
  • True Love's Kiss:
    • Mothra and Godzilla kiss for the first time right before she dies
    • They kiss again after she's revived
    • Mothra kisses Godzilla to heal him after Bagan saps his energy
    • Both have another during their marriage and honeymoon
    • Rodan and Radon kiss after he finds out she's alive
  • Unstoppable Rage: After getting infected with Shinomura's venom, Godzilla becomes irritable and more prone to lashing out, to the point where not even Mothra can calm him down. It takes all six Avengers and Battra to eventually bring him down.
  • Villain Respect: Ghidorah regards Godzilla as a Worthy Opponent and leaves his dead body intact after killing him during their duel.
  • Walking the Earth: Shin Godzilla decides to drift throughout the galaxy and hopefully find someplace where he can get some much-desired solitude after killing Dogolas.
  • We Can Rebuild Him:
    • After Gojira dies, Kiryu shows up. And they have the exact same build. Coincidence?
    • Ghidorah undergoes this voluntarily after his failure in the first book, and becomes Mecha King Ghidorah
  • Wedding Smashers: Biolante and Gigan show up uninvited at Godzilla and Mothra's wedding in Book 10 to give their regards to the couple and send them the scale of Titan King Ghidorah that Ghidorah decided to gift to Godzilla
  • You Are Better Than You Think You Are: After Slattern reveals that Muto is descended from the Breach Kaiju, Godzilla reassures her that even if she's related to them, she is much better than they can ever be.
