The first fic begins as thus: One summer day when Katarina and her friends are spending a day at her family's estate, she notices a magical relic in her home for the first time, a Memory Mirror. When she tries to use it, the mirror acts up, and starts replaying her past life memories against her will, in front of all her friends and family. How will they react to... the truth?
Mirror, Mirror contains examples of:
- Broken Tears: When she sees a memory of her old family in the Memory Mirror, Katarina starts crying without noticing it. Her current parents take her out to their garden, where Katarina takes notice of her tears. At this point, for the first time since she regained her memories, the reality of her past life death and her loss of her old family hits her fully, and she breaks down in tears.
- Delayed Reaction: This is how Katarina's initial reaction to Sophia revealing herself as the incarnation of her old friend, Atsuko Sasaki were presented.It was such a relief to be able to talk about her past life, she had so many stories she'd nearly forgotten about! When she'd first gotten her memories back, she'd mainly been focused on the stuff relating to Fortune Lover and it's routes, so some of her old memories had been nearly forgotten, but having the Memory Mirror and Sophia to remind her was-...

....what? - Dreaming of Times Gone By: In this work, Sophia had more dreams of her past life than in the source material, and I'm Crying, but I Don't Know Why is a relatively frequent occurrence to her and often some comforting from Nicol.
- Dreamland: Since Sophia has no idea that she's been Dreaming of Times Gone By for most of her life, she's been trying to identify "the bizarre, fantastical world within her dreams" that was "oddly comforting" to her. What she has been dreaming, of course, memories of her past life as Atsuko, a girl who lived in 21st-century Japan.
- Internal Reveal: The Memory Mirror unintentionally replays some of Katarina's memories from her past life for everyone, including a playthrough of the Geordo route of Fortune Lover, forcing the revelation of her past life and Fortune Lover. Later on, it does the same thing to Sophia, as Sophia recognizes the "Acchan" in Katarina's memories being the person she keeps dreaming about.
- Named by the Adaptation: Katarina's past life, which has never been given a name in the source work, is given the name "Aikyo Kichi" in these fanfics. Similar to "Acchan" Atsuko, she is also given a nickname, "Kicchan."
- Wistful Amnesia: In addition to Katarina herself (which has been established in the source material), everything that showed up in Sophia's dreams tends to give her a sense of nostalgic comfort. In particular, Mirror, Mirror explains why she likes romance novels so much—she dreamed of Atsuko reading Shoujo manga, and while Sequential Art does not exist in Sorcier, romance fiction is a good enough substitute.
- You Are Better Than You Think You Are: After the Internal Reveal, Katarina thinks her friends are going to think of her as a petty girl who treats her life as a mere video game. Her friends, especially Geordo and Mary, persuade her that is absolutely not the case.
