Equestria’s Avengers of Justice is a Marvel Cinematic Universe / My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic fanfiction Crossover by JDPrime22.

The first story, A Beautiful New Age focuses on the Avengers arriving in Equestria, meeting the Mane 6 and continue stopping whatever Ultron has in store for this world.

The second story, This War of Ours focuses on the Mane 6, Spike, and Starlight Glimmer arriving on Earth sometime before the events of Captain America: Civil War and dealing with the schism alongside the Avengers.

The third and final story, Infinity Era is a partial adaptation of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. Both Equestria and Earth are involved in the war against Thanos and his quest for balance in the universe.

Tropes:

• Action Girl: The Mane 6, Black Widow, and Scarlet Witch.
• Actor Allusion: Pinkie Pie tells Thanos "Bring It on, Cable!" when fighting him. This references how Josh Brolin, the actor who plays Thanos, also plays Cable in Deadpool 2. It also counts as a Mythology Gag, since Deadpool similarly calls Cable "Thanos" in that movie as a reference to this.
• Adaptation Expansion:
  • This War of Ours gives more context on the mission in the beginning of the film and adds Daredevil and the Punisher into the conflict.
  • Infinity Era shows the destruction of Xandar by Thanos’ hand.
• Anyone Can Die: Once the Infinity Era hits, the body count goes up, goes down, and then goes permanent with deaths in the battle for earth.
• Ballroom Blitz: The Avengers get invited to the Grand Galloping Gala and it went well until Starlight and Ultron attacked.
• Big Bad:
  • Ultron in A Beautiful New Age.
  • Zemo in This War of Ours.
  • Thanos in Infinity Era.
• Big Bad Duumvirate: Ultron and Starlight Glimmer form an alliance to accomplish their goals. It doesn’t last long.
  • Ultron and Typhon formed one as well.
  • Thanos and Typhon for the moment.
• Back from the Dead: After the second Snap, nearly every major character who was dead, whether from the first Snap or otherwise, returns to face down Thanos' army in the final battle, including Yondu, Loki, Heimdall, etc.
• The Cameo: Not a person, but a location. Attilan was spotted by Discord while he was fighting Thanos on the moons, noting that it was abandoned.
• The Cavalry: SHIELD and Asgard are this in A Beautiful New Age, arriving to help the Avengers and Equestrians.
  • Daredevil introduces himself to the rest of Team Cap right before the Airport Battle.
• Colony Drop: Thanos has brought Earth and Equestria closer together, unleashing serious devastation upon both worlds. Even the moons of both planets were destroyed as a result.
• Disney Death: Starlight Glimmer suffers this in A Beautiful New Age. She’s revealed to have been alive in one of the epilogues.
• Enemy Mine: Starlight Glimmer, in the first story, does this when she realized just how ruthless Ultron was.
• Energy Donation: Thanos imbues Typhon with some energy of the Power Stone.
• Evil Versus Evil:
  • This ends up happening between Starlight Glimmer and Ultron. After initially teaming up, Starlight eventually realizes how insane Ultron actually is when he plans to unleash all the creatures in Tartarus and have them destroy the world. This leads to them fighting, with Ultron easily winning and Starlight resorting to helping The Mane 6 and The Avengers.
  • This eventually happens between Thanos and Typhoon, for possession over the Infinity Stones with the latter also seeking to destroy Equestria and seek revenge on Thanos for killing the Pillars of Equestria before he could himself. Thanos ultimately wins, but at the cost of much of his army.
  • At the climax of Infinity Era Ultron travels through the Quantum Tunnel, and joins in on the brawl for the Infinity Stones, at one point fighting Thanos himself.
• Faking the Dead: Frank Castle before the events of This War of Ours and after.
• Fighting Your Friend: The Avengers’ arrival in Equestria involves them calming down a saddened, confused and angered Hulk.
  • The premise of This War of Ours, being an adaptation of Captain America: Civil War.
  • In particular, the final battle comes down to Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle.
• For Want Of A Nail: The Avengers and Ultron appearing in Equestria change the events of Make New Friends But Keep Discord and The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone to be about them stopping Ultron.
  • Averted for This War of Ours. Despite the presence of the Equestrians, Daredevil, and the Punisher, the events of Civil War still play out the same until the bitter end.
  • Played Straight in Infinity Era So far, Loki’s knowledge of Equestria helped him in being spared Thanos’ wrath.
• Hell Seeker: Ultron wishes to enter Tartarus to fulfill his plans.
• Hero of Another Story: The events of Ant-Man and the Wasp are happening while the Avengers and Equestrians deal with their merging worlds and Thanos' imminent invasion.
• Heroic BSoD: The Mane 6 suffer various traumatic visions thanks to Wanda when they first meet.
  • Rarity, in particular, has visions similar to Tony’s involving the death of her friends and Earth’s heroes (most of which she hadn’t even met yet).
• Killed Off for Real:
  • Pietro Maximoff in A Beautiful New Age, like in Age of Ultron.
  • Korg, Miek, Valkyrie, and the Collector die by the Black Order’s hand in Infinity Era.
  • During the Final Battle, Daisy, Tempest, Frank, Steve, Bruce, Thor, and Natasha are all killed by Thanos.
• Legions of Hell: Ultron plotted to unleash this while in Equestria.
• Let's Get Dangerous!: Discord is reminds everyone he is not someone you want to piss off, despite his usual prankster nature. When he gets enraged during his fight with Thanos and The Black Order, he stops messing around, tossing The Black Order aside and focusing entirely on Thanos. Though he ultimately still falls against the Mad Titan, he proves to be Definat To The End, refusing to remove his shields protecting Earth and Equus, forcing Thanos to destroy them himself.
• Only the Chosen May Wield: Mjölnir is this as usual. To Thor's shock, though, shortly after the Avengers meet the Princesses, Luna shows to be worthy without realizing it by levitating the hammer back to him when he left it behind.
• Mr. Fanservice: Twilight, Applejack, and Rainbow Dash spend a chapter (accidentally) oogling over Steve, Thor, and Tony as they clean up at Rarity’s suggestion.
• Motor Mouth: Luis once again displays this while recapping what’s been going on with Scott to the rest of the Wombats in Infinity Era.
• No-Holds-Barred Beatdown: Thanos and the Black Order deliver this to Discord.
• Not Worth Killing: When Thanos invades Canterlot to get the Mind Stone from Vision, he sees Rarity cowering before him again and simply sneers at her and walks right past her without harming a single hair on her head, considering her unworthy of his trouble or time, unlike the rest of her friends.
• Pie in the Face: Spike and Pinkie do this to Starlight and Twilight during the Airport Battle. She later throws a watermelon at Black Widow, apologizing saying she ran out of pies, and even later says she is down to just orange slices.
• Precocious Crush: Sandbar develops a crush on Sunset Shimmer when she returns to Equestria as soon as he lays eyes on her. It is pretty obvious that Sunset can see all the hints.
• Put on a Bus: Vision, Wanda, and Pietro’s whereabouts in Equestria are unknown to the original Avengers until quite a ways into the first story after appearing in the first chapter.
• Redemption Rejection: Frank Castle to Starlight Glimmer. It became apparent once he stabbed Bucky during the Airport Battle.
• Revenge Before Reason: T’Challa and Tony to Bucky.
• Slice of Life: Each of the main stories have a few calm chapters in between major events.
  • A Beautiful New Age details the Avengers adjusting to Equestria following their reunion and getting ready for the Grand Galloping Gala.
  • This War of Ours begins with the Mane 6, Spike, and Starlight Glimmer being publicly welcomed to Earth.
  • Infinity Era has a few chapters centered around Sunset Shimmer’s return to Equestria for her summer vacation.
• Stop Hitting Yourself: Pinkie Pie tricks Thanos into punching himself in the chest with the Infinity Gauntlet while he was trying to hit her, with her dodging it due to her use of Toon Physics.
• Story-Breaker Power: Surprisingly subverted several times. Discord and Thanos have essentially ultimate power, but they find different ways to be cut down due to their own pride and some mistakes.
• Spared by the Adaptation
  • So far, Loki has lived longer than he did in Avengers: Infinity War.
  • Several characters who were confirmed casualties of The Snap in the MCU survive here, including Teen Groot and Shuri.
  • Also, Natasha, who survives both the trip to Vormir and a detour to the Negative Zone while getting the Soul Stone.
    • Sadly averted during the final battle against Thanos.
• Spin-Off: The Road Trip of A-Holes by Sense of Humor is set in the same continuity. However, the focus is on the Guardians of the Galaxy, Trixie, Derpy, and Maud Pie instead of the usual Avengers cast.
• Villain Team-Up: Ultron and Starlight join forces together when Ultron arrives in Equestria. But their team-up quickly ends when Starlight realizes how insane Ultron really is. Ultron later has another one with Tirek though.
• What the Hell, Hero?: Happens many times.
  • After revealing the truth of Equestria's past to everyone, the Mane 6 and the Avengers silently call Princess Celestia and Princess Luna out on their decision to cover their history up.
    • Before leaving, Steve Rogers even tells the Regal Sisters that they are doomed to repeat their mistakes if they are unwilling to accept their past.
  • Twilight to Rainbow Dash after the latter helps Steve and Wilson defend Bucky.
  • Twilight to Frank Castle after he stabbed Bucky. He’s the only “hero” on Iron Man’s side to be imprisoned as a result.
  • Rainbow Dash calls Twilight out on siding with Tony to apprehend Bucky and tells her that as the Princess of Friendship, she should give him a second chance.
• Worthy Opponent: Both Ebony Maw and Thanos believe Discord to be one when he faces Thanos and The Black Order on the Remnants of the Moons.
