Fanfic / Earth 27 M

Go To

Spinoff of the project Earth-27 by Deviantartist Roysovitch in collaboration with the DeviantArt illustrator (and fellow comic fan) Phil Cho. Part of The 'Verse, the project is centered on the Marvel Universe, starting with the X-Men as the cornerstone (similar to how the main E27 started with Batman characters). Using the Cerebro Files to showcase individual superheroes in the MU, pulling inspiration from various comics, events, movies, video games, and TV shows.

The official GoFundMe page here continues to keep the project afloat through donations. The Cerebro Files and other lore focused content can be found on Roy's DeviantArt page here.

This work contains examples of:

  • The '90s: The X-Men were formed during this decade. Same with the Fantastic Four.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Because Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr did raise their kids, they go by their last names instead of Nom de Mom.
    • Toad's name is changed from Mortimer to Martin Toynbee. Mortimer becomes his second name.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection:
    • Here Magneto, Mystique and Mastermind were teachers at Xavier's School for Gifted Youngsters before their fallout and creation of the X-Men and Brotherhood.
    • Carol Danvers was a young air force pilot under James Rhodes.
    • Carl Lucas was cellmates with Frank Castle.
    • Peter Quill worked with an Asgardian prince to explore the Nine Realms.
    • Captain America and the Super-Soldiers were connected to the Sentinels program (who served as the foundation of SHIELD), with Cap's codename being Weapon A.
    • Bishop and Deadpool were part of the Weapons program, with the codenames 815H04 and DP1.
    • The Goblin Formula, the Hulk and Iron Man were all attempts at creating new Weapons for the Sentinels Service Division.
    • The Red Skull, the Black Widows, the Winter Soldier and Omega Red are all derived from Weapons' initiatives.
  • Age Lift: Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr are younger here, being born in the sixties rather than the thirties.
  • Alphabetical Theme Naming: The Sentinel Division's Weapons' program, and after they ran out of letters they began using double letters and numbers.
    • Weapon A - Steven Rogers/Captain America.
    • Weapon B - Brian Falsworth/Union Jack, British Supersoldier.
    • Weapon C - Madeline Joyce/Miss America, American super-soldier. First female Weapon.
    • Weapon D - Roger Aubry, British super-soldier
    • Weapon E - Daniel Running Elk, Native American super-soldier, formerly part of the military codetalkers.
    • Weapon F - Robert Frank, American super-soldier, formula tweaked to create a person capable of superhuman speed.
    • Weapon G - The Goblin Formula
    • Weapon H - The Incredible Hulk
    • Weapon J - Isaiah Bradley/Patriot, and the process would be attempted to be repeated with Carl Lucas in prison.
    • Weapon M - Henry Pym/Ant-Man, who went his own way to develop his Pym Particles.
    • Weapon N - Frank Simpson/Nuke
    • Weapon P - Early mutant trial nicknamed "Psyche". The test subject was Mary Walker, a psychic mutant.
    • Weapon R - Romulus
    • Weapon S - Victor Creed/Sabretooth
    • Weapon T - John Wraith
    • Weapon V - Symbiote investigation
    • Weapon W - Janet Van Dyne/Wasp, who was given powers and bio-mechanical wings by Weapon M, Dr. Henry Pym.
    • Weapon X - Logan/Wolverine
    • Weapon Z - Chris Nord
    • Weapon CC7 - Vanessa Carlyle
    • Weapon DP1 - Wade Wilson/Deadpool
    • Weapon LQ1 - "The Leper Queen"
  • Alternate Self: Much like regular Earth-27, the story will not include characters from alternate universes, which means those characters will be heavily reworked.
  • Badass Family: The Xavier, Lehnsherr and Summers families just to start.
  • Everyone Went to School Together: Matt Murdock, Foggy Nelson, Jennifer Walters and Elektra Natchios, all studied at Empire State University, with T'Challa as an exchange student.
  • A House Divided: The students of Xavier's school became divided between those that supported Charles and those that followed Erik after their fallout, becoming the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Mutants respectively.
  • Mythology Gag: As a reference to being the daughter of The Blob in the Ultimate universe, Liz Allan is Fred's cousin, and being the estranged twin sister of St. John Allerdyce/Pyro is a reference to her role as Firestar in that universe too.
  • Related in the Adaptation:
    • Polaris is the full sister of Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, having the same mother, Magda Maximoff.
    • Moira MacTaggert is the mother of David Xavier, better known as Legion, being the twin brother of Kevin MacTaggert-Xavier.
    • Irene Adler/Destiny is the grandmother of Fred Dukes/Blob, St. John Allerdyce/Pyro, Liz Allan and Ashley Crawford/Big Bertha.
    • Everett K. Ross is the son of Thaddeus Ross and the brother of Betty Ross.
    • Tony Stark and Victor von Doom are second cousins here.
  • Skeletons in the Coat Closet: The members of The Brotherhood of Mutants who are not part of the Lensherr family all have a golden skull, or several, in the outfits as part of their new group.
  • Superhero Team Uniform:
    • The X-Men and their black and yellow jumpsuits with a stylized 'X'.
    • The Fantastic Four and their signature blue jumpsuits with a '4' Chest Insignia (or in Ben Grimm's case, the belt).
  • Team Member in the Adaptation:
    • James Logan and Victor Creed are former members of the Howling Commandos during WWII.
    • Tim "Dum-Dum" Dugan, Jim Morita and Gabe Jones are all former members of the Sentinels during WWII.
  • Time Travel: Averted like in regular Earth 27. This Earth is isolated from Time Traveling antics, meaning characters whose backstories involve time travel will be reworked.
  • Ultimate Universe: Based on the original one, Earth-27M combines elements and characters from several continuities from the comics, series and movies.
