The Duke & Hulk Gang.

Duke & Hulk (full title: Duke Nukem and Hulk Hogan's Fantastic Adventure) is a series of internet stories written by a group of four friends, which began production in late 2010. It follows the crazy and action-packed adventures of Duke Nukem, Hulk Hogan, and their many friends in the fictional city of Duke City, Florida.

As of the seventh installment, there are ten core members of the Duke & Hulk Gang, including:

• Duke Nukem: The main character. A bit of an egomaniac, naming everything after himself, from his dog to his car. He keeps the streets of Duke City safe.
• Hulk Hogan: Duke's best buddy and partner in crime. He's a powerful wrestler who owns his own pasta restaurant.
• Soulja Boy Tell 'Em: A talented young rapper who quickly became good friends with Duke and Hulk after saving their lives.
• Brook the Skeleton: Soulja Boy's best friend, a living skeleton with an afro who also happens to be a musician. He has a distinct laugh and later marries Hulk's daughter.
• Michael "Sci-Fi" Habrelewicz: The straight man and leader of the trio of superhero brothers: The Sci-Fi Brothers.
• Kevin "Mc Baldy" Habrelewicz: The second oldest of the Sci-Fi Brothers. He's quite bald and wears a suit everywhere for reasons unknown.
• Nicholas "Upload" Habrelewicz: The youngest of the Sci-Fi Brothers. He talks like a caveman and wears a Sonic hat everywhere.
• Dukey Nukem: Duke's beloved white dog. For the most part, he's just your average dog, but he happens to be smart enough to know how to drive a car.
• Luke Nukem: Duke's dimwitted autistic nephew. He has a funny speech impediment and is obsessed with ferrets.
• John Hogan: Hulk's dimwitted autistic nephew. An aspiring author and poet, though he can't seem to get either one right.

This series contains examples of:

• Actor/Role Confusion: Genie from Aladdin appears in the series, but his name is Robin Williams.
• Affectionate Parody: The fourth installment is heavily influenced by the Freeza arc of Dragon Ball Z.
• An Aesop: Soulja Boy's "You either die a hero... or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain" at the conclusion of the fifth installment.
• Animal Talk: Animals in the series are just regular animals, so they don't speak. However, Luke is able to interpret his pet cow's moo at one point.
• Anime Theme Song: One of the authors has created animated opening sequences for the series, using the songs Ginga Koete Rising High and Muteki Aura no Energy.
• Back from the Dead: Sci-Fi, towards the end of the fourth installment.
• Be Careful What You Wish For: Sci-Fi and Upload believe that Jesus Crises will come in the year 2012. He does turn out to be real, but he ends up kidnapping them.
• Berserk Button: In the fifth installment, Brook becomes the Soulja King. When people try referring to him as anything but, he flips out. However, he's back to his old self in following installments.
• Blatant Lies: In order to get Luke to defeat Dr. Crazypants, Hulk tells him that Dr. Crazypants is the one who murdered Lukey.
  • However, Hulk admits that he lied once the battle's over.
• Born as an Adult: Duke's grandmother ages backwards. Early on in the series, she was a baby. But around the seventh installment, she seemed to start aging normally and became a teenager. This phenomenon is not yet explained.
  • The villain Spencer Searcy suffered from backwards aging too.
• Call-Back: The tenth installment, released on the one-year anniversary of the series, opens similarly to the first installment: with a random, nameless black man.
• Captain Obvious:
  Hulk: OH NO! THAT SEAGULL'S STEALING THE BUNS!! IF WE DON'T HAVE OUR BUNS, WE WON'T BE ABLE TO ENJOY OUR BURGERS, BECAUSE BURGERS ARE USUALLY EATEN ON BUNS!!
  Sci-Fi: Thank you, Captain Obvious!
• Character Development: In the second installment, it's made clear that Duke is racist towards black people. However, after Soulja Boy saves his life, he changes his attitude, and Soulja Boy becomes one of his closest friends.
• City of Adventure: Duke City.
• Continuity Nod: The elephant from the seventh installment is later revealed to be Robin William's pet.
  • The adventure the gang had in Canada is mentioned in the seventh installment of the main series and the first installment of the spin-off.
  • The gang briefly considers taking Soulja Boy's private jet to Illinois before remembering what happened in the tenth installment.
  • Dr. Crazypants, a minor villain assumed to be killed in Duke & Hulk 9, returns as the primary villain in Duke & Hulk 13.
• Cool Car: The gang's main mode of transport is the Duke Mobile, a red car with giant Ds it which can fly and turn into a mech.
• Cool Old Guy: Hulk is 60 and Brook is 90.
• Cool Shades: Duke is seldom seen without his trademark sunglasses.
• Cross Dresser: Dr. Crazypants crossdresses at a Fashion Bug Plus to throw off Duke and friends, but this results in him getting mistaken for a prostitute and tackled by naked men.

• Did You Just Flip Off Cthulhu??: A homosexual college student drops an F-bomb on Duke after insulting his nephew. Naturally, it doesn't end well for him.
  • Cory Baxter badmouths Hulk after getting an invite to Burger King, which results in him getting beaten up and thrown in Hulk's closet.
  Cory: ...DID YOU NOT JUST READ MY NOTE THAT FUCKING SAID I WANT LAZONYA?!?
  Hulk: AS LONG AS YOU ARE LIVING UNDER MY ROOF, YOU WILL TREAT ME WITH RESPECT.
• Dumbass Has a Point: In the tenth installment, after having time-traveled:
  Luke: Guys... how ow we gonna get back to da pwesent time?
  • In the sixth installment:
  Mc Baldy: Don't we all need passports or something to get into Canada?
• Early-Installment Weirdness: The first installment was just a spur of the moment story. Duke and Hulk don't even appear until about halfway through and near the end (respectively). They were then chosen by the authors to be the main characters.
  • Characters Lord Stell and Dot the BB featured heavily early on, but seem to have disappeared after the sixth installment. Though it could be argued that the gang is strong enough now to not need the help of almighty beings.
  • The Dragon Balls were dropped after the fourth installment.
• Elmuh Fudd Syndwome: Duke's nephew, Luke, has a heavy speech impediment.
  Luke: I haf to go to deh bafwoom.
  • Lukey wasn't a very creative name either.
  • Neither is Dukey. Though since he was named by Duke and Duke and names everything after himself, most people let this one slide.
• Fartillery: Luke tends to fart in battle and also for speed boosts.
• Flying on a Cloud: Soulja Boy's Flying Nimbus.
• Foreshadowing: Cory is staying in Hulk's house at the beginning of the fifth installment. Later on, it turns out he can turn into a house.
• Forgetful Jones: Luke constantly leaves valuable items behind and usually forgets where he left them.
• Gasshole: Luke.
• Giftedly Bad: Hulk's nephew is an aspiring author and poet. Unfortunately, he can't write compelling stories or poetry.
  John: I'm in a hospital, because I got bit by an animal, I didn't know what to do, I was helpless like a Jew, I was caught redhanded on a lawn, my name is John.
  • Though he somehow managed to get a book called Bad People Liberation published.
• God Is Flawed: Lord Stell gives the gang a faulty spaceship to get to Planet Namek.
• Heterosexual Life-Partners: Duke and Hulk, Soulja Boy and Brook, Luke and John.
• Improv: The whole series is basically this. The authors do very little pre-planning (sometimes none at all), and instead just take turns writing a paragraph of the story on the spot.
• Interspecies Romance: Luke's feelings for his pet ferret.
  • George Hogan's feelings towards horses.
• Killed Off for Real: George Hogan, played for laughs. Lukey, also played for laughs, but at least they have a funeral for him.

• Kissing Cousins: John's existence is due to Hulk's sister and cousin fornicating.
  Duke: So... um, this is your nephew, huh?
  Hulk: Yeah, I have a sister that fucked my cousin, whose name is Sulk Hogan, out of pity. She ended up getting pregnant and out came John.
• Leaning on the Fourth Wall: The thirteenth installment was in production much longer than any other installment so far. Duke says at one point that events that happened yesterday in-universe feel like they happened several months ago.
  • The gang also discusses their lives being a series of books in this installment.
  Hulk: We'll have to do something about that in Duke & Hulk 14!
  Soulja Boy: Yo wut? Duke & Hulk 14?
  Duke: Yeah. Hulk and I talked about this. We imagine our lives as a series of successful books. And I think this one would be about the thirteenth installment.
  Soulja Boy: You guys is crazy! If dis wuh a real series, Brook and I would be the main crackiters!
  Brook: Yo ho ho, I agree!
  Mc Baldy: No, I alone would be the main character.
• Local Hangout: Monk's Cafe, Pastamania, and Burger King.
  • In the fourth installment, Dr. Robotnik's henchmen see it and mistake him for Sonic.
  Groundher: SCRATCH, LOOK, DERE'S SONIC!
  Scratch: HAHA-HAHAAAAAA! LET'S GET HIM!
  Upload: ahh me in trouble.
• N-Word Privileges: Soulja Boy has these, naturally.
• One-Steve Limit: Averted with John Kimble and John Hogan. John Kimble only appears in one installment and before John Hogan's debut. John Hogan becomes a main character, and is who everyone will think of if you say "John" in the context of Duke & Hulk.
  • Subverted with Brook and Brooke.
  Hulk: Yes, Brook. She has big titties, so feel free to have sex with her as much as you want. I know you two are meant for each other, because her name is Brooke!
• Only Known by Their Nickname: Their real names are Mike, Kevin, and Nick, but the Sci-Fi Brothers go by Sci-Fi, Mc Baldy, and Upload (respectively).
  • The Sci-Fi Bros. tend to refer to each other by their real names, but everyone else uses the nicknames.
  • Averted with Hulk and Soulja Boy. It seems their full names in the series are actually Hulk Hogan and Soulja Boy Tell 'Em. No mention of "Terry" or "De Andre" is ever made.
• Our Time Machine Is Different: The gang ends up accidentally time traveling back in time ten years via Soulja Boy's private jet.
• Pals with Jesus: The gang is friends with the almighty Lord Stell.
  • Also literally. Sci-Fi and Upload try to become friends with a man named Jesus Crises. He turns out to be evil.
• Prematurely Bald: Mc Baldy, as his name implies, is bald, despite being in his late teens/early twenties.
• Product Placement: The gang loves eating at Burger King.
• Real Men Wear Pink: Upload is usually seen wearing a pink shirt. Though his manliness is debatable...
• Reset Button: There's an epilogue set ten years later after the events of the fourth installment, though this appears to have been forgotten in subsequent installments.
  • It could be explained that the following installments simply take place before the epilogue, but that wouldn't explain Dukey, Luke, and John's absences. Though it could explain why Brook and Brooke's son doesn't appear again.
• Rescue Arc: Mc Baldy needs rescuing when his head is mistaken for a peanut by an elephant.
  • Almost every member of the gang needs to be rescued at one point. Even Duke and Hulk.
• Spider-Sense: Soulja Boy has a psychic ability which he refers to as "Soulja Tellin'."
• Spin-Off: Duke and Hulk's nephews were such fan favorites that a spin-off series began: Luke Nukem and John Hogan's Bizarre Adventure.
• Starter Villain: Lotso is the first threat to the gang, and it takes three attempts to defeat him, for good.
• Super Mode: Duke's Tall Hair form.
  • Luke gets a Tall Beard form later on.
• The Ditz: Mc Baldy, Upload, Luke and John.
• Trademark Favorite Food: Whoppers from Burger King.
  Duke: I could really go for some Whoppers from Burger King. These sugar cookies just won't do it for me. I'm a man, and I need my hamburger fix.
• True Companions: The Duke & Hulk Gang.
• Ugly Guy, Hot Wife: Brook's a living skeleton, yet manages to marry and have a child with Brooke Hogan.
• Unreliable Narrator: In the sixth installment, the narrator says out loud that he forgot to mention that Duke's dog, Dukey, was driving the Duke Mobile. Before continuing the story, he wonders how he even got this narrating job.
• Write What You Know: Sci-Fi, Mc Baldy, Upload, Luke, and John are based on people the authors know.
  • The real Sci-Fi Brothers know the series exists and are fine with it. However, the real Luke and John don't know about it.
