Despair Bear Scare

This fanfiction series contains examples of:
- Alternate Universe Fic: A What If? with the change that Despair Bear made better use of his mind control powers, taking control of Ladybug and forcing her to touch Chat Noir's active Cataclysm hand, killing her.
- Back from the Dead: Chat Noir is able to bring back Ladybug by using her earrings and doing a Miraculous Ladybug cure. Jean the butler is also restored to life.
- Bittersweet Ending: Chat Noir has the horrific memory of seeing Ladybug die at his own hands. (Ladybug herself was controlled at the time and doesn't remember dying.) On the plus side, Adrien and Marinette have a closer relationship and Chloe is somewhat reformed.
- Killer Rabbit: Cute little Despair Bear proves himself to be absolutely deadly. Plagg is also more dangerous than he looks.
- Near-Villain Victory: Despair Bear kills Ladybug and would have taken over Adrien to deliver both Miraculous to Hawk Moth except that Plagg takes an active and violent role against him.
- Papa Wolf: Plagg breaks Jean's neck for the sake of Adrien and Marinette.
- The Unmasking: Ladybug's secret identity is exposed to Chat Noir and Chloe. Chloe also guesses Chat's identity.
