Cryptids, Emotions And The Possible End Of The World
is a series of Invader Zim fan stories written by BamSara
The stories take place after the main series and basically began originally as a series of encounters Zim and Dib have with spooky and very terrifying Cryptids/Demons, while also learning things about eachother as their relationship from enemies to friends to lovers grow. There is also an overarching story which is now a main focus in Galaxy Days

Cryptids, Emotions And The Possible End Of The World contains examples of:
- Badass Longcoat: Dib, as per canon. He's got a closet full of them and is nearly never without one. Said longcoats always have a tendency to get blood on them, or torn up.

- Dib is Zim's Button. Zim has shown to be incredibly defensive and protective of Dib multiple times in the series, but most notably in "The Trees Have Seen You Savage" where he straight up massacres the Ghoul who nearly killed Dib and stole Zim's eye.
- He also nearly killed a guy who smashed Dib's head with a tossed brick. With the same brick.
- That being said, he may have been drunk, but Dib punched an alien's face in when they asked him to kill Zim by disconnecting his PAK. Dib did not take too kindly to that suggestion at all.
- Cannot Spit It Out: Zim, because he doesn't know what to do with these emotions he's getting
- Electromagnetic Ghosts: The Demon in "False Reflections" and The Siren in "Stars Rival the Seas"
- Funny Spoon: Chapter 3 of "The Trees Have Seen You Savage" has Dib attempting to fling pudding at Zim, but fails.
- Hidden Weapons: Zim's PAK is shown to single handedly end the lives of a few Cryptids.
- Only I Can Kill Him: Zim pulls this line in "The Trees Have Seen You Savage" and uses it as an excuse to keep protecting Dib on the cryptid hunts. But as the series goes on, theres clearly more to it.
- Original Character: All of the fics in the series have original characters to some degree, like the Siren. But recently in "Galaxy Days" Dib meets Cal, a Vortian scientist who hates Irkens and assumes that Dib has been Brainwashed.
- Stuffed into a Trashcan: Dib towards Zim, in "Stars Rival the Seas"
- Vitriolic Best Buds:
- Volleying Insults: Wouldn't be a IZ fic if Zim and Dib weren't throwing around the occasional insult at eachother.
