Christmas Don't Be Late
is a fanfiction made by princessbinas. The one shot revolves around the gang during the holidays. Kagome begs Inuyasha to sing the Chipmunk Song. He eventually does it, leading to hilarity and in the end, a very embarrassing situation.
This Fanfic provides examples of:
- Burning with Anger: Both Inuyasha and Kagome get very close to this trope as the story goes on. Kagome finally subjects to this trope in the end while sitting Inuyasha non stop.
- Butt-Monkey: Inuyasha is forced to sing a Christmas Song with Miroku and Shippo due to Kagome's begging and eventually taken out of the tree via The Beads of Subjugation.
- Christmas Episode: More of a Christmas Story.
- Christmas Songs: Basically what the story revolves around.
- Cringe Comedy: Played around somewhat with Inuyasha singing the Chipmunk Song.
- Dirty Old Monk: Played like how it is in the series with all the groping.
- Does This Remind You of Anything?/Visual Innuendo/Wrong On So Many Levels: In the end Kagome sits Inuyasha ON TOP of Shippo and Miroku in a naughty position. Cue Shippo crying and Miroku telling Inuyasha to get off. Inuyasha, of course, swears his head off, not helping the situation. Kagome continues to sit Inuyasha, not knowing Miroku and Shippo are underneath Inuyasha.
- Face Fault: Princessbinas has written this in ALL of her fanfictions centered around the Inuyasha gang. There is barely one chapter that doesn't have a sit command in all of her stories. It is exaggerated for almost all of them.
- Foreshadowing: Shippo's "You'll like it if you try it" line serves this purpose.
- Hypocritical Singing: Played with. Inuyasha refuses to sing but is forced to when Kagome sits him.
- Nice Girl: Played just like it is in the series.
- Running Gag:
- SIT BOY! Or it was until someone complained and it was reduced in the revamped version, much to the authoress's sadness.
- And Kagome pulling a Dave Seville trying to get Inuyasha to clean up his attitude during the song. Inuyasha's act doesn't clean up until near the end just to become sour again.
- Slap Stick: This happens in the beginning and end. Was taken out of the beginning due to a complaint in the revamp.
- Sound-Effect Bleep:
- Inuyasha, obviously.
- It should be noted that the authoress doesn't swear at all, according to her many author's notes on the subject.
- Tempting Fate: Inuyasha should really just shut up for his own good...
- Wasn't That Fun?: Hint: It's not Shippo.
